The best part was the location. If you’re not picky on really where you sleep, this place isn’t god awful, except the front desk guy who checked us in for the evening, acted more so as if I were a bother to him because he had to stop his conversation. The beds are pretty firm so not my favorite. The water for showers, isn’t even luke warm. Both beds had stained bedding and honestly I found a bottle between the dresser and fridge, the bathroom wasn’t really cleaned prior to us getting there late, and at least an inch of dust on the laps/tv. The TVs also aren’t great and there’s no breakfast like advertised. But they offer shuttles to the VOLS game for $30 round trip. So again if it’s just a place to sleep, no big deal and we’d stay again in a pinch because of the price offered. But the prices for a weekend during a football game, are as high as a best western.

Room had a funky smell to it. Took a bit to get adjusted to it. You could tell the rooms themselves were pretty dated, but it was a clean bed to sleep in. Bathroom had a strong vinegar smell as well. Mattress was super thin, felt like you were practically on the box spring. Gentleman working the front desk acted like I was an inconvenience to him when I checked in later, and when I asked for another card as I had accidentally lost mine while at the store.

“No frills hotel” is a very accurate description. The place felt safer than most Red Roofs I’ve stayed at and the front desk person was friendly. The non-smoking room was actually non-smoking. No breakfast but those usually aren’t that great anyway. Plenty of hot water and the bed was semi comfortable. My only complaint was the lights are a harsh white and the bathroom one did buzz a little.

So this was a stop for a few hours sleep. The sheets are a little worn out, but most importantly were clean. No bed bugs, nice fluffy pillows. A fridge, a microwave, and coffee maker in room. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the front desk guy. This is a no frills place, but they do have an ice machine and vending machines. We went in knowing there is no breakfast, but lots of places around for breakfast. It is pet friendly so be prepared for some dogs. The mattresses are very very firm, so be ready for that.

Just don’t unless you have to !! Horrible hard bed, had to ask for clean bedding. Shower knob nearly falling off, stains on the walls and shower curtain. Tried to call the front desk and they were gone and left a note … when they returned she was friendly and asked us to take her the bedding and dirty towels and she’d give us more. We chose because it’s pet friendly and the pool. The windows all around are disgusting. You can’t even see in and out. I’m not a complainer. It’s just the truths …

Didn't experience bed bugs, dirty sheets, funny smells anywhere, like other reviewers reported. The place seems reasonably up to date to me. Nice size room. Quiet, but also low occupancy. Bed was a bit worn, still slept well. No breakfast. Good luck finding a better hotel for this price anywhere.

Look, if you want 5 star amenities, go somewhere else. I have stayed here many times and with my clean and well groomed and well behaved dogs. The staff are ALWAYS pleasant and professional, no matter which shift you deal with. They offer to assist you with any issues when you check in. While it is an older building, it is very well kept and maintained as are the grounds. There are some small issues here and there but nothing major. It is a safe place, never any loud parties or druggies in the parking lot. It is away from the roadway so traffic noise doesnt keep you awake. The beds are clean and comfy. I dont care for the scent on the deodorizer but it is clean. Our room this time was exceptionally clean! Much cleaner than some of those far more expensive places. Ana does a great job! The door locks are tap keyed and secure. While this place is further away from our destination than other motels, we drive the extra miles to get such a good deal on a clean room and feel safer. As for 'hair all over the floor', not true. Even if you dont like animals, this is still a good clean motel with no bugs, no mold, no bs. It is far and above better than all the other RRIs where we have stayed. As long as we keep having great experiences here, we will keep coming back. Nice job!

Staff were rude they do not allow any guests to your room at any time they treat you with suspicion a nbb d watch everything you do like spys and they are expensive and nothing special. The rooms are all inside there are no rooms with doors leading directly outside so anytime you go inside or outside they are alerted and you have to use ur key or use the main door and they will call ur room if anyone visits you and tell u to tell ur guest to leave and not have another guest ever you have to leave without REFUND and they do this even when it's the girl u came with who changed clothes and goes to smoke and returns .. or if u buy a 2 bed size room and your other person comes with a date sleeping by them ..they are ridiculous..ridiculous. rude and the rooms are seriously as standard as they come ..not gross or bad tho .. they are hygienic and modern and spacious and quiet comfortable but you cant enjoy that when u are being spied on and micromanaged by big brother the entire stay. A lil much!!

We won a free night through a radio promotion, so this was our first stay at a Red Roof. We went with the King Suite and everything about our stay was excellent! We loved the noon checkout, as we didn't need to be anywhere until later in the day, so the extra time in the room was pleasing. Under the mattress was spotless. Didn't see any evidence of there ever being bed bugs. We were traveling along I-40, so location was perfect, too. Planning to stay there again the next time I'm passing through!

Outside of hotel is nice. Inside not so nice. Two stories, but no elevator. Hallway and staircases look like the have not been vacuumed in a long time. As for the room, the sink was extremely slow to drain, made washing hands and brushing teeth near impossible. Air Conditioner grill was smashed and most of the pieces gone revealing the mold growing on the air outlet. One of the bedside lamps was missing the bulb.

Our reservation was canceled elsewhere without us being told so this hotel was our next option since it was late at night and we just drove 12+ hours. I wish I'd only made the reservation for here for just that night instead of for our entire week stay. The front desk staff don't smile, but they are nice. They do keep talking with you to a minimum sadly. The beds in the room was like sleeping on a rock. I didn't get much sleep while we stayed there. Business center (the one desk and printer) was not too well either. The printer would jam after each paper trying to print. I had to unjam it 4 times since it had jobs to print before my own as well. I won't be staying here on our return to TN next year.

I just checked in with my rabbit and the room is nice and clean. Staff was friendly. The room already appears to be mostly pet proof, even for rabbits/chewers (metal on dresser, platform beds so they don't hide underneath, and cords mostly tucked away.) It was easy to cover the remaining cords, I felt comfortable keeping him in the room and not just the bathroom, and we're both comfy settled in this huge room! (Brought my own rug.) I turned up the heat when I went to get my second round of stuff, and when I got back it was already very warm. I love that checkout is at 12pm because I got here late.

Stayed here 10/6/23-10/8/23. Nice enough hotel. Clean. My only complaint was that I didn’t have a hair dryer in my room. I don’t know if they don’t have hair dryers or the one in my room was missing. Also, I got a room on the second floor and they don’t have an elevator so I had to climb the stairs and I have a bad back. My friend helped carry my luggage up and down the stairs, but if you’re like me consider an ADA room so you can get first floor or request a first floor room when you reserve your room. Will stay again.

Stayed with my family for work. Good place to stay. I don't have anything bad to stay besides the tub and bathroom sink. Rooms were much bigger than I would have thought! You can hear the traffic from the interstate but that's to be expected. There was no bed bugs!! Overall very satisfied with our stay!! The front desk people were all very sweet and helpful.

HUGE WARNING!! I have been trying to find a way to report this place of business!! MOLD AND MILDEW INFESTATION!! You could smell it as soon walking into the lobby. Once in our room, it was all over the walls, the furniture, the bathroom was falling apart. If it’s in ONE room and the smell is in other places. Then it’s every where. I was staying with three toddlers, a dog, and as well 31 weeks pregnant. I demanded my money be refunded. This place is a major health hazard. The guy behind the desk was on FaceTime and speaker phone with friends. It was impossible to get him to speak, when trying check in, then it was impossible to have conversation with him or express concerns, he wore absolute annoyance on his face. He clearly didn’t want to be there and shouldn’t. He has a smug smile the whole time I was explaining and said I have photos, as if the smug smile didn’t believe me. Even after himself going into that horrible, nasty room. Stay at the La Quinta across the street. It’s pet friendly. Gonna be a smidge more but it’s better than respiratory issues.

Despite being a budget hotel, this was still a relatively expensive stay. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke, the stairwells smelled like a farm, neighbors dogs barked every time I walked down the hall, and residents would yell at them to be quiet. The room itself was very well cleaned and spacious.

Was pleasantly surprised with our stay at Red Roof Inn & Suites. I searched high and low of reviews for all hotels I booked on a roadtrip and ended up settling on this location. It was exactly what we needed while passing through! Clean room, kind staff, and easy to get to.

I had to switch room because they had the beds with dog hairs and stains like the beddings hadnt been changed since the last guest., then i got to my next room all my stuff moved and the toilet had blood on it . I didnt want to clean it so they gave me an option to check out or wait until tomorrow until the maids got here to clean it bad attitudes and i had to give another guest a coffe maker out of my room because the front desk wouldnt get one.

Had a pleasant experience here. Hotel room was clean. The beds weren’t amazing but we’re fine for what we paid. It does look in need of an update. Lots of cracks on the wall and paint peeling. The main hallway was in desperate need of vacuuming.

I was very pleased with our stay. Sheets, blankets, and pillows were clean. There was no carpeting on our room (which is nice because you know the floor is clean.) No breakfast but fridge and microwave in room. Given the price of the room, I'd say this was an excellent budget find.

Good location just east of Knoxville - stayed 4 nights while visiting family - price good - room was dated - older furniture - 720p TV - hard older style mattress - side entrance closest to my room was rather nasty - apparently quite a few "long term" guests - crying baby/barking dog/boom-de-boom music/kids running around above me well after 10:00pm/ - teenage boys riding motorcycle no muffler along the adjacent street - long term storage in the parking lot - people doing "stuff" in the backseat of their auto - puke next to my truck 2 days in a row. Not someplace I would stay again and for those coming off the highway for a 1 night stay I would say there are better choices at that exit. PS. They don't do breakfast anymore.

Staff was super nice and helpful. We stayed here for about 2 weeks. The last like 3 days of our stay I realized I got red itchy bumps all over my body not knowing what it was and the last day of our stay I took the sheets off to help housekeeping and I saw a bed bug on the pillow! Right away I told the housekeeper (which it was their first day I think) and they told me to tell the main manager so I did and he asked what room we were in and showed another housekeeper the pillow with the bed bug on it. I asked if there was anyway I could get my money back and he said I would only be able to get a refund for 1 or 2 nights. Other than getting eaten alive by bedbugs it was a cheap nice hotel. Very spacious and has a indoor pool. The laundry was out of order and there was no elevator :(

We always stayed here when on vacation or a weekend trip because the rooms were nice, the pool was clean and fun for my kids and the breakfast was really good. Now that it's "pet friendly" it's gross. They didn't clean or vacuum the hallways the whole time we were there, pet hair covers the hallway carpet, the back stairs we were told to use because it was close to our room stank of urine and wet dog and they didn't clean those as well. Also they no longer have any breakfast at all. Going to stay at Holliday Inn or someplace else from now on.
