If i could give a -5 i would. These are some of the nastiest rooms ive ever been in. They are roach infested, the tv barely works, the phone and microwave don't work. When a family member tried to call and get connected to my room because of an emergency, she was told to call back later because the woman at the desk said she was to busy to transfer the call. Will never stay here again and strongly urge others not to waste your money here, you will regret it.

Disgusting!! From the bugs in the rooms to the attitude of the owners. Our room was broken into, it took them OVER 48 hours to even come look at the door. They truly didn't care that it left a single mom with a child exposed to the cold since the door would not shut.. and unable to lock the door inside or out. Yet they still called looking for money. And had the nerve to get mad and harass me when I said I was leaving due to their negligence.

65$ a night 299$ weekly , old cheap hotel, you get what you pay for

Bed bugs just left there because of the bed bugs that were in the bed on the headboard and on the wall

The owner was very nice, and I'm not sure about the other reviews are about, but my room was very clean. And most importantly... No BUGS!!! For one of the most affordable motels in Knoxville I thought it was great

The Sunset is from a bygone era but is very well maintained. As with any older establishment, there has to be some minor hitches, but nothing to discourage staying. The owners are very warm and friendly, and will do all they can to assist you. Daily rates as well as the weekly is reasonable and fair. It's close to every kind of shopping you can imagine and every restaurant and grocery store in the business. Finally it's a relatively small place so I'd suggest calling ahead instead of just showing up.

Roaches. Cigarette burns in the sheets. Dingy towels. Dirty floors. The threshold to bathroom was exposed and sharp spikes would grab you toes as you walked in. Noisey late from ros next door on each side. Over all unpleasant.

Where to start? Rude service. Accused of having Daughter and Son-In-Law stay in room with me. Woke me up at 9 am to accuse me of this. had been up for 24 hours and needed sleep. Daughter came to visit and had cooked dinner for us. Got telephone call from office wanting to know why I had people in my room. Explained daughter visiting and we were having dinner. Haven't seen daughter for 17 months. Told they had to leave right away. Shower curtain was covered in black mold. Got non-requested phone call from office around 9 am to ask if staying another night. Like that was going to happen...Not to mention the cockroaches.

For the price it ain't bad. One of the best prices you will ever find around here.

Yes they are outdated but rooms ARE clean and new managers ARE working on getting things in better shape so reputable people will stay. Rome wasn't built in a day and the Sunset wont be perfect in one either. New managers are nice and helpful. If you are respectful to them and the motel you will get the same back.
