We went on a Sunday at noon and got in right away. However by the time we left there was quite a crowd waiting. I was hungry for salmon and they did an excellent job, cooked to perfection. Hubby got the baked scrod and said that it was very good. We splurged and got the newest dessert: beignets with this restaurant's unique addition of spiced apples and ice cream with chocolate drizzled on top. It was awesome! Our server, Tiffany, was incredible! On top of every detail of our meal. This is perfect place for fine dining or a casual get together. Highly recommend!👍👍👍 Just an addendum, subsequent visits have continued to meet our expectations in food and service. I could never get tired of coming here!

I was surprised by some of the things on this menu and there was unique parking. Clean bathrooms, great food and prices. Strong drinks 😆 .. Me and my family had a blast.

Ordered takeout. Nice friendly guy. Fast service. Sadly, not great food. Burnt mozzarella "wedges" which were sticks & almost certainly from frozen. "Marinara"?! Canned tomato sauce most definitely. Got some "rolls" with it as well. I had to stomp on one just to break it! Honestly.

Food quality has changed dramatically. Ordered a filet had to send it back. Got another one, sent it back too. Poor quality meat. Flavor was good! Lettuce in salad was yellow. Carrot cake was old. Leslie the manager was great!! Heather, our server, was accommodating. Everyone was nice and appears they work well together! Walked away hydrated and hungry.

My boyfriend and I come here quite often always an amazing experience. Tonight we went there for dinner an our wonderful waitress Aspen brought us a beautiful dessert for our two year anniversary that is in a month. Thank you Aspen for the wonderful dinner.

The ambience of the restaurant was friendly yet sophisticated. My server was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all my questions. The drinks and drink menu were perfect for my fiancé and I. Our appetizer, the fried mushrooms, were delicious and unique. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned great. Overall a must stop when in town.

Food is good, they have an awesome salad. The service is good. The deodorizer they use as soon as you walk inside the restaurant instantly triggers a migraine for me and has my MIL with asthma coughing. It is way too strong I always have to hold my breathe until I get through the first section of the entryway. Please consider changing this.

All I can say is everything was amazing! Everyone was so nice and professional. Immaculate kitchen and dining area. If anyone ever remember Grady’s good times this is it but with other options. My friends and I came here for a work lunch and everyone loved what they ordered. For the price very reasonable and the servings are enough for another meal! Definitely a great experience!!!!

Stopped here to celebrate our 17th anniversary and had a fantastic meal! The sirloin was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Mac and cheese the best. Salad was fresh. Service was exceptional thank you Abby! The gold star goes to Princess, the hostess. What a personality! A five star experience for sure. Can’t wait to try the carrot cake. 😉

A bit noisy by the kitchen the meatloaf/mashed potatoes burgundy mushrooms really good. The steak burger was excellent. Done perfectly. The beer was pricey at $5.25. We will go back again.

The absolute best fried mushroom’s around! I ordered the chopped steak with a baked sweet potato and Mac and cheese. All of it was cooked to perfection. My mom got the Cuban sandwich and she loved it. Clean and relaxing environment and wonderful wait staff. The sweet tea was amazing! You can tell they clean their tea urns every night and that’s a huge plus for me. We will definitely be back.

Ordered lunch chicken salad. Received a salad with 3 tiny pieces of chicken. Questioned waitress who was excellent and she said “ yes, it’s 3 ounces.” This salad was $14. For the price, the amount of chicken is ridiculous. Also, the chicken is definitely frozen and then heated. I’ve eaten at this restaurant many times through the years and this will be the last time.

The meal was the best I have ever had there. The waiter was timely and ask if I needed anything twice. He was well groomed and very courteous. The portions that I got was more than I could eat so I will have the remainder for lunch.

Music was way too loud. Need better a little more updated music but softer sound. Steak was tough. Cloth napkin is great but need paper napkin too for tough steak or gristle reasons. Mushrooms were cooked in something not so tasty and couldn’t eat them. Dessert was also a disappointment. Haven’t gotten a really good dessert there. The salad and baked potato were great. I want this place to be great. We need it in the area. Service was excellent.

My husband and I went here for lunch. He got the fish and chips while I got the catfish. The catfish was burned which has to mean they reheated it on the grill or microwave versus frying it. The bread was the only redeeming quality which shouldn't ever be the case. My husband always raves about fish and chips and what unique quality each restaurant's fish and chips have but he said this entree was very lacking. Chop House is always great but Chop South has decided to lower their quality.

The food at Chops South is absolutely phenomenal. The food was delicious and they included two freshly baked dinner rolls with my to go order. I will absolutely bring my friends and family to Chops South whenever they are in town!

Best local restaurant in the area. The food is excellent, service is stellar and the atmosphere is very homey. There truly is not a bad dish on the menu. This is a locally owned, family run restaurant and a gem 👍

We have enjoyed eating here for many years. The food is usually good and reasonably priced. The staff are quite variable, however. Sometimes good and attentive, sometimes slow and hard to find. The issue we have recently has been the overpowering smell of some kind of cleaner that is so strong that it can cover up the smell of the food. When you walk into the foyer, it hits you like an over-cleaned bathroom. If you’re lucky, the dining room doesn’t smell like that, until, that is, either the front door opens again, or the staff cleans the table near you. I appreciate cleanliness and sanitation, but this is gagging. A cleaner in a restaurant should not be anywhere near that intrusive.

Enjoyed our first dinner here tonight and we'll definitely be back! Highly recommend for a great steak or go lighter and you won't be disappointed. Try the sweet potato fries too! Great service to round out a lovely meal.

We had a reception dinner here for 35 followng a family wedding at the chapel in the hollow. Everything was excellent. The wide variety and quality of food was exceptional especially for the price. The service was fantastic. Thank you!

Very nice restaurant, we had a nice early lunch. The restaurant is very attractively decorated and the food was served quickly and was cooked to order. Our waitress checked on us regularly and was quick with the refills n our beverages. A definite go to in South Knoxville.

We had a surprise birthday dinner here and we had an all around great experience! They were great at accommodating our larger party with seating and our waitress was phenomenal and attentive to everyone and their needs. Thank you for making the party perfect!

Years ago I found a long hair in my chicken Alfredo so I stopped eating here. I finally got up the nerve to eat here again thinking ok that was years ago I'm giving chop south another try. Well my food was great , my server was awesome and very sweet. But when I was given a refill drink it had lots of food particles or something floating all in my coke. It made me sick to my stomach. The dishwasher and servers needs to check the cups more thoroughly before giving them out to customers. I would have given a 5 star had I not had yet again another gross experience. I had taken a few sips out of it before I saw the floating particles. Or should I say chunks . I probably won't be back for a while and I'll probably bring my own drink in or ask for a to go cup to drink from instead. Because for $3.50 a drink you think the cups would be clean. My waitress was great though and my food tasted good.

Used to love going to Chop House that was here, looked forward to their menu and the atmosphere that had been created however I was disappointed to say the least in my most recent experience. The quality of food and atmosphere was cheap and definitely not worth the price paid. Service was great, people were nice but I won't be back anymore.

First time visiting, amazing service. Seated quickly,lots of lunch options with large portions. Petite pork chops were grilled and juicy, turkey and stuffing delicious,fish sandwich fresh and so good. Samantha was our server and she was very attentive. Will be back.

So glad we came here for lunch. We always go to chop house which we love. But this is just like it and closer to home. We always drive by here but never stopped, so glad we did today. This is our new go to place to eat! The food and service were excellent!! Yummy rolls. Clean and beautiful inside!

My husband worked there and made it clear that this was one of few who would eat there , the strict daily , nightly cleaning , including full spray and equipment breakdown every night is like no other . Everything made fresh daily including a constant baking regiment every 30 min for all potatoes , sweet included . Rolls constant fresh baked and endless rotate is brilliant. Jeff has got his cooking game and staff on point , my husband's family had a successful fresh New England seafood restaurant in mass . And I heard every night about the baked scrod baked to order . And like he said I t really is scrod.in Tennessee. Unfortunately my husband had an emergency. And had to go . Thank you Jeff.

Arrived for a family dinner at 7:00pm. Reservations for 12. The waiter was very nice and did a good job taking care of us. Three of us ordered the Atlantic Samon. One of us couldn't finish the meal. It was not cooked properly. The ribs were terrible. They tasted like they were rolled in salt. When we tried to order dessert they told us the kitchen was closed.. I have honestly never had a restaurant say their kitchen was closed while they had 12 people having dinner. Will never go back. The waiter never came to the table to ask if there was anything else we needed as the kitchen was closing, etc etc. No chance to order an after dinner coffee as well. I was embarrassed for my family that were from out of town. Never again.

My husband and I visited for the first time yesterday for a late lunch. I selected the pork special and my husband the sirloin. The service and food was superb. We will definitely return to enjoy the chefs creations. Just delicious!
