I don't usually leave bad reviews, but... We booked a late Sunday brunch that would give us an hour for the buffet. The food was really great. However, the staff started taking away the food from the buffet thirty minutes after we had arrived. After my first plate, I went back to get another plate, but the staff started taking the food away right in front of me. I gave up, went back to my table with an empty plate, and told my (Japanese) wife to hurry up and grab what she could if she wanted more. She went and came back and told me this: The foreign staff (maybe 50% of the workers) were taking food away as she was attempting to serve herself - like literally taking the platter away as she was preparing to serve herself! The Japanese staff intervened once with the sweets and helped her get what she wanted before everything was taken away. Overall, the buffet is good in terms of food quality, but the foreign staff really don't understand good service outside of a superficial level. My family left the buffet hungry, even though we paid about $50 per person. I want to say it's our fault for booking a bit late, but... then why even let us book thirty minutes before the food is taken away? I also trust my wife, and she said that the foreign staff is extremely poorly trained. This is not Japanese-level service. Pretty shameful for a high-class hotel to hire such workers.

The Best Brunch Buffet i have ever tasted. If anyone wondering where can I get the best continental, upscale fine dining brunch in Osaka, #TAVOLA36 at swissotel nankai namba... This buffet has over 50 variety to choose from, which includes the famous swiss chocolate, specially imported swiss cheese, n much more.. And the staff here welcome you with a bright smile on there face and help with all the quries regarding the food.. And an added bonus, since this buffet is on the top floor of the swissotel you'll get the best view of Osaka city.. It's definitely a very good experience all together, and I'm eagerly waiting for my next visit. Thank you..😊

Service is great, staff are super attentive, the view is pretty good too. Food selection wise, not too bad, but not the best buffet we've had. The dim sum options are unfortunately somewhat bland, and the Chinese dough sticks too dense. It's not terrible tasting, but personally it's not something to write home about either. FYI, was having the hotel buffet breakfast. Perhaps the lunch or dinner options might be better but not really planning to try them.

I had a drink at the bar. All the drinks were very well crafted and the manager Sebastian is very friendly and easy to talk to.

Apparently they just finished renovating / revamping on June 2017. Almost 360 view of the city is spectacular! Its not a traditional buffet but more of a hybrid. The fee comes with a choice of mains + soup and the appetizers and desserts are buffet (ie all you can eat). Selection for me is good and very satisfied.

We had our welcome drinks here. Very nice view. Soft lighting, comfortable intimate ambiance.

There is no disappointment here. Everything is perfect.

Worst breakfast experience. Wide selection of bread but the restaurant was not going to refill. Not many choices for other food that also ran out quick and got refilled really slow. Severely understaffed. No one ever came to collect the plates or at least to refill coffee for me. I saw a couple of times others asked waiter for bowls to get some food. Food doesn’t taste good anyway. Waste of time and money. The only thing good probably is the view which I already enjoyed staying with Swissotel on high floor anyway. Strongly advised against having breakfast here unless you insanely love bread and came early. Osaka feeds you well but certainly not Tavola36 whose service and food fell way below standard (even not considering it as a restaurant in a 5-star hotel). Most regrettable meal having travelled 10+ times to Osaka. Expensive for nothing but an unforgettably bad experience that I will be telling others to avoid.

Went for views only, cant speak about the food but the drinks were perfectly fine.

Lofty place with a city view from 36th floors of the hotel. Night views around and nice music albeit Ioud for a restaurant. Involves some bistro elements though lacking the vibes. Overall nice experience.

It was a bit difficult to find for us, honestly. One set of red elevators will take you to the sixth floor, and the other golden elevators will take you to the 36th floor. It was breathtaking. The view is exceptional, I walked in and my mouth hit the floor, I could not believe that this place was not at capacity 24 hours a day. The menu was a set menu consisting of bread, salads, soups, pasta, then main and dessert. It was a lot of food looking back now, but everything was tasty and delicious. The salads were egg and potato, seafood, and tomato bocconcini. By the time the pasta course came, which was Creamy Salmon, I was worried about not having enough room to finish everything. I had the Strip Loin for mains, which was great. Dessert was the Tiramasu, which was fantastic, of course. Such impressive cocktails as well. The Sweet Escape was especially favourited. A fantastic experience all round.

5-stars for the views alone! You can see all of Osaka City in the solid glass walls on either side. The venue has a nice layout, you can have a private table by the windows, or if you want to mingle more you can sit in the center or even stand at the bar. They throw a themed party once a month here with live DJ's and light show. Staff is always very kind. The venue is also available for weddings, parties, conventions, and other events. *Note: I've always been here at an event, so I haven't tried the restaurant, except for a course meal at a ticketed event. The presentation was lovely.

Having breakfast for 5 days straight and not complaining is really a testament to the quality of the food offered.... buffet style, staffs are very friendly and service prompt....... how to go there, if you checked-in at swissotel namba, its on the 36th floor.
