This place had it all, all ages will be entertained here. They had an AWSOME safari, petting zoo, feeding zoo birds, monkeys dolphins, lions, pandas, tigers, rhinoceros, and many more than I can list. You can go go kart racing you could ride the Safari on a train walk to Safari or even rent a golf cart and do a Safari. Have carnival type games they had it all everything you’d ever want to entertain yourself for one or two days. Staff was super friendly they helped out getting the ¥2000 ride pass which allows you the road all the roller coasters and amusement rides. Highly recommend that you look into getting the ride pass which is ¥2000 per person.

A great place to visit for the day if you are in the area. I recommend buying tickets in advance so as to avoid disappointment if the park reaches max capacity. Obviously the most famous animals in the park are the pandas and there are quite a few of them! However, the panda areas are always the most busy area so I recommend either doing that early or waiting and doing it at lunch when everyone is eating or during one of the shows. As for the shows they are very fun to watch. There are a lot of animals to see so you can definitely spend most of a day here and even longer if you decide to go on any of the rides.

I went there on 6th of May 2022. Actually I was so sad because most of the Birds have no enough space to live with happy. There are living like prisoners. I kindly request from authorized people to arrange better space to live with happy because they are living there still die. Animals also should have a freedom not only people.

Cool zoo with plenty to see and do, so why the 4 stars? A bit too expensive and the prices inside the zoo are a bit of the high side as well. So we borrowed an animal designed kids buggy for the day but it was 1,700 yen [500 yen deposit] and then close to the food court there was a play area but you had to pay to enter and play in it. Not a fan of the high prices and add-ons but I guess they have a lot of animals to feed! Also, some of the animals, especially the dolphins didn't look too well, floppy dorsal fins, ones dolphin was in exactly the same place, head against the wall, 2 hours after we walked back past him, made me think a bit about the price of holding animals captive to enjoy them? The zoo itself had a great array of animals and was well spaced out. It was easy to get up close and personal with quite a lot of the animals and see them outside of cages rather than the usual cages with bars. Also, the lighting in the penguin exhibit was...trippy. The safari train was good, went slow enough to see all the animals in the safari world, but I also liked the fact that if you wanted you could also walk in the safari area and see some of the carnivores up close. Decent birthday day out!

We decided to go here on a whim and bought fairly inexpensive tickets at the gate. Parking also cost a small amount. It wasn’t too busy inside and we could roam freely. Some awesome animals that I haven’t seen before including pandas, flamingos, an eagle and rhinos. You could get really close to them as well! Would recommend if you are in the area.

Amazing place. Wide array of Asian and African big mammals. Very clean, great food, also a dolphin show that's remarkable. Highly recommended for couples and families. I highly recommend renting a Jeep for a safari. For 5000¥ (5 people max) you get to drive a Jeep through the big herbivore and carnivore enclosers. You must follow the guide in another vehicle, who narrates the trip. In addition, you get to feed rhinos, giraffe, and tahir (a type of mountain goat).Total time is 70 minutes. Guys impress your lady with this one. Guaranteed!

An expansive zoo/aquarium/amusement park that you can enjoy for hours. There are a number of animals that you can get up close to and touch here that you can’t do in other zoos. (Emus, peacocks, capybaras, hippos, giraffes, etc) The dolphin show is very enjoyable and you can tell they take good care of them. My only gripe is that at nearly 5000 yen admission, the theme park rides like the ferris wheel and go karts should be included. Charging extra for those is a bit ridiculous, and it seems most people agree. I didn’t see a single person on the go kart track in 4 hours.

It's a very nice zoo but a little expensive. The entrance fee only gets you inside then you have to pay extra for everything else except for the dolphin show and the safari bus which are both very good. All the rides are a bit dated and most of them are between 300 and 500 yen. All the animals look well looked after and contented. The restaurants are ok and not too expensive. Overall it is a good family day out but a little bit expensive.

An amazing theme park and a true Adventure world where you and your family will be drowned in the variety of entertainment inside the park. Be it the overwhelming friendliness of the staff, the animals, the spick and span rides, the animal feeding (especially the Rhino, Lion and Sea Lion )and minute to minute tours, everything is simply amazing. The icing on the cake are the animal shows and Dolphin shows. Worth every penny and worth every minute of the travel from Osaka to Shirahama for this.

Such an amazing place to bring your family or friends. It is well priced and English friendly. If you do come try and reserve the private vehicle Safari tour! It is well worth it! We got the 2 day pass and it was ideal. We didn’t feel rushed to see everything and we were able to enjoy the park at our own pace.

Incredible theme park for family and kids. Exciting rides facilities, animal feeding, horse riding. A nice place which you can stay for a whole day.

We recently visited the park and we enjoyed it. You can get up close with some of the animals as they are not in the cage and seems that they are used to the people around them. We also like the Kenya Train as it goes around the safari world and into the carnivore section. But if you want to get up close with the herbivore animals in the safari, try the walking safari trail. The dolphin show is also very good. There are many dolphins than we expected so my daughter really enjoyed it. One of the reason that we came was to see a real panda and we were not disappointed. It was a Panda Fes day and the park has several events regarding Pandas.

Overall decent experience and a couple of impressive show, but really expensive for a zoo and still have to pay most of the attractions inside. It also closes most of the free attractions early (15.30 for the walking safari when it start to make sense to walk under the sun).

I didn't expected before I've been cuz I thought just zoo. But there was pretty fun for adults too . And very friendly animals and close to visitors.

At 4800Yen per adult, this place is a steal where you get to enjoy zoo + theme park. There are lots of animals that you get to view within this compound, not to mention the shows. There are various food options that will definitely cater to everyone's taste and budget. We came on a weekend but it still does not feel crowded. It's definitely a full day event where you can end off with a meal nearby after spending the day here.

This was my first time experiencing Panda live. There were variations of experiences like Safari experience. We did advanced booking.

A family friendly place, recommended for all ages. There are Rides that are not included in the entry ticket you need to bring extra money for that. There are a lot of shops and food stall.

A good fun day out for the family. Lots to do for the kids with both a safari park and amusement park combined. We went on a week day at the end of the summer vacation so it wasn’t too busy. We only had to wait a few minutes for each ride. There was a good atmosphere generated by a lot of smiley staff. It’s more cost effective to buy the free ride pass at 2000 yen than pay between 200-500 yen each ride. With food, rides, souvenirs and admission the costs do add up quickly.

Nice zoo for family. You can see all kinds of animals here. The zoo is a bit aged but surprisingly the maintenance has been great, which is the beauty of Japanese management. If your kids are animals lovers, they would definitely enjoy it.

A must visit place in Japan. I visited this place in March 2019. You can spend whole day here. You can experience thrilling rides along with watching animals. Perfect place for kids and family as well. Watching cute panda was the most memorable experience for me. Animal show and Dolphin show were just amazing. A whole range of birds and aquatic animals are there.
