Decent burger and hotdogs here. The restaurant is hidden in a small alley not easy to find the entrance.

This is a popular spot, and on the day I went there was a queue. There's good reason for the popularity: their baked goods are tasty. The bakery has a variety of bagels and scones, among other things. I was a little confused about how one manages to secure a table before standing in the queue to order - which seems to be the way to do it - because it's the same queue as the one for goods from the bakery to take home. But the staff were friendly and accommodating. They have some nice vegetarian options. I had the avocado vegetarian burger, which is more of a veggie roll - it has no veg pattie. It was delicious and comforting.

Good burger and very good fried potatoes ! The place was a bit cramped but it’s understandable at 12 on a Sunday. Very close from the castle, reasonable price.

The cheese burger is classic and best had with all the fixin’s. Patty was small and better if done medium. Ambiance was cozy and I would have given 4 stars, but they had Dr. Pepper… which gets a star on its own.

OMG. The burgers are awesome. We paid $400 for Kobe steak, but these burgers are better! If you want a bacon cheeseburger, you need to explain. They have a cheeseburger, or a bacon and egg burger. They don't speak English, so use your Google translator and specify Bacon with cheese burger. It's big, with tons of bacon so don't go there unless you are hungry. Darn, I just made myself hungry. Someone turn this train around! 😂😂😂

Excellent burger, with super soft bun and tasty patty. Pastries and cakes and bagels are amazing, very large selection and fresh, alot of baked goods added throughout the day.

It's a bakery combined with a burger restaurant. You can get a good selection of burgers here. I went with the avocado burger and it was delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Absolutely no problems as foreigners here.

Excellent burger. The pastries are great if you get it fresh. Cons: 10-15 minute line during peak hours

Small, but mighty bakery/cafe off the main Otemae St strip. Packed full of freshly baked breads. Also serving a selection of burgers and drinks. Seemingly always a line of customers ready to consume the doughy goodness.

The ambiance here is first class, warm and welcoming. I went later in the day so less options, but still found some vegan bread: baguettes (300 yen) and the blueberry bagel (260 yen). The vegetarian burger buns use egg wash so they’re not vegan, unless you get with lettuce (as noted on the menu). Most of the breads have labels showing allergens so you can see which don’t have egg, dairy, etc. All options contain wheat. The woman at the counter didn’t speak English or understand my Japanese request to toast a bagel so I don’t think that’s something they offer regularly. There IS a toaster though so maybe point at it around the corner and see if that works better 😆

This is one of the best bakeries and bread we’ve had in a long time! They have savory and sweet options and both are delicious! The Camembert-Blueberry and the peanut butter bagel were our favorite.

We chanced upon this hidden gem, sourdough and bagel nice and chewy. Reasonably priced, quality pastries. The restaurant was closed so no luck to try their burger.

Their hamburgers with freshly made buns and patties taste great. There is an Eat-in space available there. They also have many kinds of pastries, bagels and other types of bread. I especially recommend their bagels. They are nice and chewy, and perfect for your breakfast!

Great place. Burger and breakfast were delicious. Morning was empty. Good for relaxing before starting himeiji castle.

Delicious food in a surprising location. One of the best burger surprises in HIMEJI. I wish I could have eaten more but the bacon cheeseburger was amazing. There is also bread assortments too, so check the bakery out as well.

In the shadow of one of the most breathtaking castles in Japan, tucked away in an alleyway off of an alley way is Bakery Lamp. With large english printed menus fresh baked breads and craft beers from around the world this cafe is a must visit.

I went with a small group of my friends try this hole in the wall bakery. From ham and cheese bread to anpan and chocolate bagels- everything was delicious. They also serve hamburgers although we didn't order any. The staff was extremely kind and quick as well. Wonderful choice!

When you walk past this bakery, the aromatic smell of the bread will draw you in automatically. Good selection of bread with a cozy warm feeling in there.

This cafe is a bakery and a restaurant. You can grab a tray and get your pastries to go or you can sit and eat in. It is very small so it can get quite crowded. We had lunch because the burgers looked delicious. The burgers are tasty and come on freshly baked and rather large buns. We had to wait quite a long time for a table, so be aware of the lunch rush. The baked goods are also quite delicious.
