We got there late and the service was still excellent. Japanese are amazing. My wife took all the photos and she enjoyed Japan a lot. Osaka is the best livable city in Japan and there is a reason for it. You get to see the night view of Osaka from above. The ferries wheel is not scary and it is quite enjoyable for tourists actually. We still have to walk a short distance to the place at night, and it is not dangerous or scary at all like in the US. Osaka is a place I will definitely go back again.

NOT the world’s biggest Ferris wheel, arguably not even in the top 10 anymore, BUT still significantly large and remarkable in its own way and an absolute must see when visiting Osaka. 900 yen per adult as of September 2023. Be careful to go during national holidays or weekends as lines can be significantly long. Friendly staff. Feels safe, and structure is well kept.

An absolutely massive ferris wheel ride. It's located right next to the Osaka aquarium which is very convenient. It is also located right next to a mall there too. It looks very well maintained and kept clean. Holders of the amazing pass can also ride this using that ticket!

Don't rush past the world's highest Ferris wheel located right next door. With an altitude of 112.5m, the giant Ferris wheel Tempozan will be a unique Osaka tourist destination that helps you zoom in on the view to see all the most beautiful places of the city. 🏙️

One of the best Ferris wheel i have taken. There are two ferries wheel in osaka. Tempozan ferris wheel Is very well maintained. Its clean and efficient. Staffs are friendly there. The view on top of the ferris wheel is great. It was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world at 112.5m. Next to this Ferris wheel is famous Osaka aquarium which is also one of the largest aquarium in the world. I would recommend this pkace if you ever visit osaka.

Experiencing my first rainy day ride on a Ferris wheel, the outside scenery remained enchantingly beautiful. The raindrops added a poetic touch to the landscape, turning the city into a glistening masterpiece. Each droplet on the Ferris wheel's glass seemed to magnify the lights and colors, creating a dreamy ambiance. It's a unique perspective that transformed a rainy day into a mesmerizing and memorable journey, proving that even under the soft drizzle, beauty can be found in unexpected places. ☔🎡✨

Great experience!! The run was quite fast just 15 min per round. There are 2 kinds of cabin: glass and normal. Most people wait for the glass which are really limited in number. Normal one is faster to get your turn. The cabins are equiped with AC so not hesitate to take a go even in hot afternoon. But I think around the sunset is the best!!

    >15 mins waiting time for see through gondola as there is one after 6-7 general ones (covered bottoms). Was able to enjoy this ride for free under the osaka amazing pass (physical). Was here on 7th Jan (weekday) 1015am and enjoyed an amazing view of the Tempozan Ohashi Bridge with the city backdrop. The whole ride is very stable and not shaky. Strollers can be brought onto the gondola without folding it. For those with a lot of luggages, can put in a gondola before you board in case if you are afraid it get stolen.

Well it wasn't the largest, but I believe it's better than the HEP, just sit beside the aquarium and if you're taking it during the day time you can have a great view across the big city. The ticket is not cheap but it will be a good deal if you had purchased the Osaka amazing pass which saves you some buck. The see through glass is overrated and will take a very very long queue. Suggested not to use that if you are in a rush.

I love Ferris wheel. This must not be kissed for this whole have the same interest as me. It gives you a bird eye view of the surrounding Port of Osaka. After all it’s free if you are using Osaka pass. Usually it’s not long queue. You can use the Osaka pass for nearby Aquarium and Santa Maria cruise as well.

They claim to be the largest giant ferris wheel in the world so it was a worth to try. They location is far outside the main city near the coast so at the highest point you can see the landscape of Osaka from above. While inside the wheel, there are recording explaining what kind of things you can see around. It is very slow so it is not dangerous. The covid19 hit hard this place. Only two other couples when we visited. Hope it comes back normal soon. Additional info : if you buy the ticket and you have the one-day-pass metro ticket (¥800 yen weekdays/¥600 yen holidays) you get discount up to ¥100 per ticket.

¥800/person ($7.84) for 1 round around 15 minutes. Went on a Tuesday morning at 11 a.m., and there was no queue. There will be 2 different lanes that you can choose from, one for general gondola and another for a see-through gondola. The Ferris Wheel lights up at night too, which is nice!

A very impressive ferris wheel and a fun experience. I got the Osaka Amazing Pass, which included the wheel, but even without the pass I would recommend it. I was luckily enough to go on a clear day so there was a lovely view of Osaka (you can even see USJ in the distance). I rode in a normal car so there was no wait, but if you wanted to ride the completely see-through cars there was a small line.

Located very near to the Osaka aquarium. Hence, it is a good idea to slot this in during the aquarium visit day. The experience is ok and the view is pretty awesome from the top. The cabin is more of the olden type, but feels secure enough. Price is reasonable. Recommended to take this during sunset.

Cool little wheel, nothing to write home about but I see no reason to not go on it. I think the only thing making this a 3 star is that is right next to the water the ride isn’t too long. There options for carts with see through bottoms but are usually a lot longer of a wait. Like I could get on a normal cart instantly or wait 30 minutes for a see through bottom. I wasn’t waiting and honestly I don’t see too much of a reason to wait for that cart. There’s a big bridge there and pirate ship which is also cool.

Great view of Osaka! The ferris wheel is surrounded by a lot to do which is good. Highly recommend the see through carriage!

The view was amazing. I went in the day, less crowd. I took the full clear glass. But honestly felt it was not really necessary and also, have to wait for 25mins for me. And i went on a tuesday afternoon. But nevertheless, view was great. Ticket was affordable too at 800yen/adult. But highly recommend night time, the lighting of the ferris wheel changes and city of nightime is nice too. Anw tempozan marketplace have tshirt, tops, kids clothing, pokemon/figurines for anime/doraemon/Disney, women clothings, and tons of food. Dinner there is possible. So its really a good to go place. Its just beside kaiyukan (osaka aquarium) and tempozan park too. Kaiyukan ticket is about SGD37.

I've been to this place several times and It doesn't bore me. If you ride the Ferris wheel you can see the beautiful city of Osaka on the sea coast, it's amazing. and if you plan to ride the Ferris wheel I suggest choosing a transparent Ferris wheel. It can test your adrenaline for those who are afraid of heights, but it is very satisfying.

Tempozan is not big, but there are sailboats to go, shopping malls to visit, Legoland to play, and marine life museum to visit. This time I took my two children here and spent a day here. Legoland has fun, and the ferris wheel goes around for a while, looking at the night view, although it does not count the time nor sail, a bit expensive for the Osaka Travel Card one day, but this place is recommended for families There are kids coming to play, and you won't get bored staying here all day.

The downside though, is that there is no kids price. All above 3 pay the same price. Don’t recommend the see through one which I took if there queue is too long. Tip: you can have a peek at universal studios across the waters. Good enjoyable classic ride.

A great place where to enjoy the possibility of watching the city from above. One round will take about 20 minutes and the view is very nice. A nearby aquarium is also an option where to go after this stop. The connection by public transportation is pretty easy and comfortable by trains. Thank you🤩

It is a huge Ferris wheel that has a great scenic view of Osaka at the top. If you own the Osaka Amazing Pass, it's free. I recommend visiting early of you do not want to wait in line for a long time. I chose the transparent one expecting to see a transparent floor and felt excited with it. But, the floor was truly turbid and had many scratch marks on it. Some staff is impolite shouting to me. That was I was not satisfied.

Love the experience. I love Tenpozan. The whole area is peaceful and lovely. I visited here with 2 days. Better buy a Osaka pass in advance.

I wasn't planning on doing the wheel but had some time before the aquarium booking. so glad we did. Amazing views around Osaka and hardly any wait. the glass bottomed pods aren't really worth the extra wait, just grab the shortest queue.

Seeing Osaka from a high point as far as the eye can see. 15-min ride. Took the see through cabin for the experience but the clarity of the floor wasn't clear enough. If it gets windy when you're at the top, it does feel scary but it's ok. Fun for the family.

Located nearby to the Aquarium, it has easy access from the mall. Take note that the mall closes early so better grab your dinner first before taking the Ferris wheel! Pretty good views up there but I have taken bigger and more impressive ferris wheels. Still worth a try if you’re here after the aquarium and enjoy the views. Do note there is a small queue if you’re taking the transparent bottom cabin.

Ferris wheel beautifully lit up at night. Staff asked if you want see through cabins have to wait 20mins. I am ok with normal cabin as there is no queue. Used Osaka Amazing Pass for free entry and took bus ride from/to Namba station so I don't have to walk the distance from/to the train station though it is a nice walk with some shops and eatery

Defiantly go on a sunny day! Price rose but worth going once. Can see all of Osaka and recommend to ride before touring Osaka.

Huge ferris wheel with a breathtaking view of Osaka on the top. The cabin is a bit hot as the air conditioning is weak.

  • 4/5 Ping Yee C. 5 months ago on Google
It was about a 20- min wait IF you wait for the see-thru car. We managed to catch the sunset when we bought the tickets at around 4:20pm (sunset was at about 5pm). You get a nice view of the city and it might look better at night. Not a must do in Osaka but a nice thing to do nonetheless.

View of Osaka port vicinity. No queue unless you want to get into see-through gondola. Osaka Amazing Pass can get in for free.

I like the ferris wheel very much. It has two types of cabin. One is normal and another one is see through. We took the see through cabin. That's why we have to wait for 5mins. If you have a baby with stroller, you can take stroller inside the cabin. Night view was great. Ticket price was 900yen per person.

Great way to see the night view of Osaka Bay. Each round takes around 15 mins. We took the ride after visiting Kaiyukan, and it was the perfect way to end our day.

The coaches are a bit worn down. The glass is dirty and lots of scratches. But still a good 15 minute ride. Get the Osaka Amazing Pass for a free ride!

  • 5/5 Rae W. 1 year ago on Google
I highly recommend taking a ride on the magnificent Ferris wheel for sightseeing purposes. The ride lasts approximately 15 minutes, and I suggest opting for the normal cabin to bypass the long queue. The experience is truly fascinating, and even in the regular cabin, you can still enjoy a breathtaking view of the surroundings. The windows are well-maintained and cleaned, ensuring a clear view. Additionally, there's a map inside the cabin that highlights the main scenic spots you'll see during the ride. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity and give it a try!

Nice view from here. Tempozan Ferris Wheel opened to the public on July 12, 1997, and was then the tallest Ferris wheel in the world.During the 17-minute ride it offers a view of Osaka Bay and surrounding areas, including Mount Ikoma to the east, Akashi Kaikyō Bridge to the west, Kansai International Airport to the south, and the Rokko Mountains to the north.

Magnificent! You should try during the daylight as well as at night. You will see Amazing Osaka. The ferris wheel itself is quite thrilling. While we were at the top, the unit we ride was moving a bit by the wind. Top view. Nice staffs.

Enjoyed an evening ride and the beautiful view. May get the chance to see a Cruise Ship around. Recommended!

  • 4/5 Hiwa A. 1 year ago on Google
Its nice to try it. Its really big but it moves slow and you don't notice the movement. The view on top is beautiful and the lightening is also nice. You have a nice mixture of different views and worth trying it. The neighborhood is not what I expected probably due to being late at night. It was very silent and not crowdy and few people were there. Also the ferry had only 4 glassy cabins and the rest were normal. Many wanted to try the glassy cabins so they had to wait but if you try the other one then you will take it faster. In terms of price 800 yen for 20 mins is fine but I would say a bit expensive. It could have been a bit lower in terms of price. There's also a big shopping Mal around which you can find money exchange offices as well

  • 5/5 Carmen L. 1 year ago on Google
The BEST ferris wheel in Osaka and it’s HUGE. Magnificent view of the Osaka Port without any blockage of sight. Soothing music in the cabin and super friendly staff. I had an almost meditation-like experience during that 25 minutes and wish it could last longer. Will come again next time :)

  • 5/5 Liam C. 1 year ago on Google
No line in the mid afternoon on a Friday. Nice views and English narration in the pods. You can wait longer for a glass bottom gondula if you want to but we just walked straight onto the regular one.

  • 5/5 CY C. 1 year ago on Google
Arrive during sunset for the best type of photoshots you can have. Visit the aquarium too! For the FerrisWheel skip the see through bottom the normal cabin is good enough.

Want to give 10 stars here but limited only with 5, this is my first ever experience in a Giant Wheel. The Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel is a breathtaking marvel that offers a stunning view of the beautiful Osaka cityscape. As you embark on this towering feat of engineering, you can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder as you rise higher and higher into the sky. The experience is simply breathtaking, with every rotation offering new perspectives and vistas that are truly unforgettable. You'll be able to see Osaka's bustling city streets, its sparkling harbor, and the majestic mountains in the distance, all from the comfort of your spacious cabin. The ride is smooth and serene, offering a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cabin is equipped with comfortable seating, air conditioning, and even a little music to add to the ambiance. One of the highlights of the Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel is the spectacular view it offers at night. As the sun sets and the city lights come alive, the wheel transforms into a dazzling spectacle of color and light that will leave you in awe. In short, the Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel is a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Osaka. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, the experience is truly unforgettable and offers a unique perspective on this vibrant and dynamic city.

Great overlooking view of the city and of the bay. Located beside the osaka aquarium and tempozam mall thag offers a lot of fast food choices

Loved this. We didn’t have long in Osaka so we headed out to this Ferris wheel. I didn’t realize there were 2 Ferris wheels. We had passed a red on coming in from the train station (this isn’t that one) and I think this would be better as it is more open all around it. Fantastic views of the city. Inside our gondola there were etchings of the skyline in each direction so we knew what we were looking at. We took a gondola without a see through bottom so we got on without a wait. Spent all our time looking out so didn’t miss not being able to see through the bottom (though missed that little thrill.) It is also right beside the aquarium. Slow moving. Great for all the family.

One of my favourite activity to do after visiting the wonderful Osaka aquarium. Over 300 ft high and boast panoramic views of Osaka bay, this one is definitely well worth the admission of 800 yen. You have a choice of either transparent or regular seats, with the transparent one having a 30 minute or so wait. Having ridden both I'd say the regular one is good enough.

  • 4/5 Jie Liang T. 9 months ago on Google
It's worth going for a ride if you have purchased the Amazing Pass as this will give you a free ride, or else your price might be a bit pricey. You will have a good view of the surrounding area and take a break from the long walk in the Kaiyukan aquarium. It is within walking distance from the aquarium.

I visited Tempozan Ferris Wheel in Osaka during windy April weather. The highlight of my ride was the breathtaking sunset views that painted the cityscape in mesmerizing orange colors. It was fairly cheap to get on and you can buy tickets at the self serve machine or from the staff at the counter. Despite the wind, the Ferris wheel provided stunning panoramic vistas of Osaka's skyline, the bustling port, and the captivating ocean. One notable aspect of Tempozan Ferris Wheel is I had the opportunity to catch glimpses of the attractions of Super Nintendo World, adding an extra touch of excitement to the ride. The staff at Tempozan Ferris Wheel were friendly however, I found that the wait for the clear floor kart was quite long and may not be worth it, considering the overall experience again I would just go the standard option if there is a line. Remember this is on the bay so bring a jacket if you're going at night or evening it can get windy.

It is the first time for us to ride the Giant ferrish wheel Osaka. Wow so cool.. If you want to see the beautiful view of Osaka with lots of lights, come at night. But if you want to see something brighter, come early in the morning until late in the evening. There are 2 types of capsules, regular and transparent. If you are not afraid and have no phobias, choose transparent capsules... but if you have a phobia, choose the usual one

The complex offered some amusements besides the ferris wheel. There were food court, restaurants, shops, etc. Long benches were found in many places so that people could take a rest. The toilets were clean, but there was no toilet seat cover. It was a good place for families with young children. Parking was outside the complex.

Giant and big Ferris wheels. It has different colour for the cabin seats. Staff will clean the seats after each passenger alight. Great Vera view. During day time is very hot.
