Very good extremly large beachfront park. Good for swimming, showers are avaible in many locations. Lifeguards are stationed during summer in marked locations.

Really fun beach near Akashi city and not far from Kobe city. Many little cafes and tiki style bars near the beach to get food or drinks. There is wind surfing rentals available and the JR train and Sanyo train stations stop right next to the beach, so it’s easy to get too.

Recently visited the beach with friends. Weather was really windy but the temperature was nice. Nice place to have a stroll or a picnic. Sand is a little grainy and water was quite cold. Hopefully I can visit back in the summer.

Nice beach, I think is much cleaner than other beaches in Kobe, It has a running track, watching the sunset there was fantastic.

Lovely beach! The view is good but walk for a km along the shore to get to the area where sand is good.

Better wait until they complete the construction of the new aquarium. At the moment, you'll have a very limited experience of sad looking tanks while still paying full price.

About half of the beach has become "family area" which is nice if you don't have tattoos or want to drink a beer... It's a bit of a walk from the station to the part of the beach with no restrictions but still has shops nearby. This only applies during the popular season though. Around the middle of July to the end of August.

I wanted to have a Beach experience in Japan, The closest beach and easiest to get to from my Osaka guest house; was Suma. I caught a the train and missed my stop on the way there, hey... but that's all part of exploring new places, in a foreign country. The cool water was welcoming on a stinking hot Summer's day.

The beach is very accessible. It's right infront of the station so you just have to walk for 2-3 minutes to get your toes with sand. The beach is clean, however there are some parts wherein you can smell fishy odor maybe because there are a lot of locals who went there to fish. There are some parts where the sand can be fine or not. There are also convenient store and burger shop just before you hit the beach. The beach is okay but not great. Overall the experience is good.

Easy access to the beach, and many great beach houses with live music.

Suma, where the Kobe people chill and drink.

The beach is nice, convenient and easily accessible. However, the look is a bit urban and lacks the natural touch (no trees). There is also a surfing house.

A beautiful park with pine trees offering respite from the summer sun. There are also some athletic equipment for young and old to get their limbs moving.
