I had a great experience enjoying the Nepali and Indian cuisine here at Gorkha Durbar restaurant There are a lot of varieties of food here with authentic Nepali taste I liked the Nepali food called 'Sekuwa' here We can enjoy the time having great taste and drinks are too available here I do like the decoration of the restaurant

Excellent place for Nepali food when you need a break from Japanese food. The naan is delicious! Tandoori oven does a great job :) Friendly workers too, fun to talk to! We went back again because it was so good.

I have had the opportunity to eat in several Indian restaurants in Kyoto and this one is by far the best. I am French and I am used to eating Indian food in France. So I invite all French people to try this restaurant to avoid any disappointment. The butter chicken is my favorite and the biryani are very good. Moreover the staff is very nice and attentive. And it is really not expensive.

The food and service is good. I may be biased as I love Indian food. But their Nan and curry is the best and Ashok really pays attention to your wants or needs even if he is serving all by himself. Thank you Ashok! Hope to visit you again.

Wow Nepali dhido with mula Ko achar and hospitality is just awesome. Must visit once by all Nepali and Indian food lovers. Price of the food is so reasonable.

Hands down one of the best Nepali food in Japan ! I am from Nepal and during my 24 days in Japan, i tried several Nepali restaurants and Gorkha Durbar is the best ! The momo was perfect and authentic and they even had buffalo meat which is a nepali staple meat. We also had Nepali Thali, waiwai sadeko and sukuti. All of the dishes were amazing and I highly recommend this restaurant! Plus the owner is super friendly and welcoming!

I love their food and very thankful for the good hospitality. I especially liked the flood there “Chaptate” 😋. Paneer naan, choila, newari lunch set, chicken curry are also very tasty. When we ate their food, we didn't feel that we were bored or uncomfortable. You can enjoy the delicious food with your favorite music, which was very nice.🦋🙏🏻

Incredible restaurant - if you’re in Kyoto, you need to go! We had the momo, garlic naan, and chicken curry. The meal was better than any Indian/Nepalese food we’ve had back home in the States! Owner is very kind and speaks great English.

Definitely not as great as the reviews (which are fake if u take a closer look). Only 1 option for desert (not clarified in the menu).. Kind of cheap bread . Tasty curry but small... Alright just for an emergency

Had a nice time with good Nepali dish . I tried buff chowmin which was awesome and there are lots of dish for enjoyment with friends and relatives..

The dedo set was delicious. And the taste of the meat was really good and especially the radish pickle was wow. It reminded me of Nepal. Thank you Ashok Dai for your warm hospitality 😊😊

I NEVER write reviews, but this little gem was so wonderful, I had to let the people know! Some of the best curry I’ve ever had, and the prices were extremely affordable to me (American from L.A.). So flavorful! This was my first time having momo (steamed chicken momo, to be exact), and wow! It was so good! Cheese naan was epic, too. If you’re in the neighborhood, don’t miss this one!

It was my first experience to eat indian curry. Some people played a guitar and sang together. The atmosphere was international and warm. The owner was really charming and friendly. I recommend u to visit here when u come to kyoto.
