This place is just fantastic this one is located in Fort Kochi inside the David Art Gallery. There is a wide area back side to enjoy the food they serve. The ambience is just remarkable there is greenery everywhere. The food, just as amazing as it is. Their dishes are just amazing and unique too, I'm a huge fan of their pizza and tacos. I also tried their berry lemonade and it was heaven. I would recommend this one everyone who goes to explore Fort Kochi.

Went to this cafe actually for biennele art installations. Cute little place with real good desserts I must say. We tried cinnamon bun and blueberry cheesecake. Both were yum. I also took home their semi dark chocolate and it turned out to be great in taste too. I definitely recommend their desserts.

A well deserved 5 star rating after 5 visits in the past 4 years. Great pizza, in a cosy ambience at an affordable price. Cost for 2 Rs.800 Ambience - This place has a character to it. Housed in a heritage building this garden cafe has a quiet vibe about it that I find very appealing. This place has always played good music, mostly classic Western music, and on one occasion there was a small band performing which was also suited my taste. The café space is under a thatched roof with enough fans to keep you cool and the trees around this place definitely beings down the ambient temperatures by a notch or two. In the evenings there are a few mosquitoes, but the management tries their best to keep them away, I would suggest to keep a mosquito repellent handy just in case. I've seen a few rabbits running around in the garden, so definitely a place to take your kids! The place is also an art gallery and you can usually find a collection of artwork on display. Food - They have had different menus on my earlier visits, however currently they have a pizza menu. I've had pizzas on my three recent visit and they have always been great. You have a variety of toppings to choose from and they are happy to make a pizza with each half having a different pizza. The pizzas are hand made life ina brick oven. I've tried their earth pizza and chicken Pizza and they were good on all occasions. Drink - They have a simple fresh juice menu. I've always ordered the mint lime soda which is my favourite. P.S - They have a nice long table with plug points in case you're looking for a place to work from. Overall a great place to be.

Awesome place to hang out with friends and family. Great ambience. Relaxing atmosphere and excellent display of art. Brought sandwich, taco, Korean pork BBQ, prawns rice bowl. Place is neat and well maintained. Courteous staff. Loved my first visit to this calm and quiet art cafe.

Everyone seemed to have a good opinion about this place. So we had to visit owing to the huge positive reviews. First thing first, the waiting time is hugeeee. Seeing the waiting time we ordered only 1 dish- the brunch bowl. I'm not exaggerating when i say we had to wait for more than an hour. Our son started crying for food. After about 45 minutes, there was a change in shift I guess, a new guy came and had the courtesy to serve a banana bread to my baby. The 2 starts for that. I had hoped that the food taste would compensate for the wait. But no, it was just mediocre, nothing great. I wonder why soo many positive reviews.

First time here and I'm definitely a fan of their thin crust pizza. This is a lovely little cafe come restaurant behind the art gallery. They have limited seating (outdoor), and the menu is compact with a good variety of food and drinks. We tried their Earth pizza which was moist and yummy. Their guava and ash gourd drink was surprisingly good. And the french fries were on point. I would most definitely go back. Note: It is outdoors, so despite overhead fans, it got a little warm.

David hall- Artlovers would definitely love this place. We visited this place last week. Painting exhibition related to Earth day was going on. There is a small cafe inside this place. Had chocolate cakes and lime mojitos from here. Spent some quality time with family.❤ washrooms are very neat and clean. Lot of space for car parking is available. Lush green premises were so nice..👍

A beautiful art gallery and a cafe combined with it. Different art collections are arranged creatively and amazingly here. Loved the atmosphere and it's a must-visit place in Fort Kochi. Best place to hang out with friends and family. There was not much crowd when I visited this place last week. There is a good parking lot in front of David Hall. This is located opposite Parade Ground, Fort Kochi.

Ambience and Vibes on point. On the higher price side compared to many cafes in the area. But the quality of food served is amazing. Pastries and sweets are on point. But coming to the food menu it's more on the price side. You have to be aware of the cost before you are ordering. But regardless it is a good place to chill out and even work.

Absolutely loved the experience. The ambiance is simply amazing. I’m a vegetarian so I’m usually apprehensive about such places but DAMN the vegetarian food was great! I had the Corn ribs and tomato soup that came with sour bread and I think that’s the best bread I’ve had. The texture was 🤌🏽 The staff is really friendly and gives good suggestions and make good conversations! :)

Good ambience, but too many artificial lights spoil it in the night. Food and coffee were average. The server had no clue about the dishes. It appeared fresh and custom preparation, and I asked for basil pesto spaghetti. I was served arrabiata with fusilli. When I asked the chef about the order he said that they have only one pasta, and this is it! The server also didn't know which coffee beans they had. The prices are on the higher side for what's served. I was told that their pizzas are good, I noticed a brick kiln too. But overall quite disappointed.

One of the best places in kochi where you get thin crust pizza and can even customize same pizza u ordered for kids with their fav topping. A veg side and non veg side as well 10" pizza goes for 400/- and we had this must try item called cheese tart pure heavenly mushy tart white chocolate on top for 140/- While the kids enjoyed playing with the friendly rabbits which roams freely in dining space friendly staffs where kind enough to drop them carrots and encourage our kids to feed rabbits i Was busy thinking how old this lavish beautiful place would be and how it will be during those days of prime. David hall art gallery just mesmerises you with vibrant paintings from the skilled artist from all over India. For people who enjoy work from home can easily connect their laptops as they proved a separate table for the wfh kind of groups. Overall its a must visit place when ur in fort kochi and it makes you think how silly some of those other art cafes looked like. 😀 no

The place has the best pizza in fort kochi 🥺. The Ambience is too good. They have art gallery, which is a dream for art lovers, and the overall vibe of the place is just beautiful. The cafe is located just behind the fort kochi beach, making it the perfect place for someone who wishes to go to the beach later to watch sunset.

We tried the bakery here for our brunch and it was worth it. Everything was fresh and had good taste. We tried blueberry cheesecake, eclairs, cream donuts, chicken pie. And everything was good, not too sweet and just perfect. Have heard good about the food here.

Panthal cafe has a unique taste in their pastries. Had chocolate pastry and chocolate mini cupcake. Their mini cupcake won my heart that taste is tempting ❤🤤. It charges 70 per piece and pastry 120 rupee. It's something costly but the pastries are affordable. The ambience is too good.. Visited here in mid morning but the evening vibe is pretty cool i think. Their customer service is also good. If you are pastry lover atleast once you can try this.. And the pasta burger kind of dishes felt costly.. (I don't remember the rates.. I guess it's 500+) Such a nice experience❤

I would give 3 rating for the service. I did enjoy their dishes. Overall a good place to hang out. Loved the exhibit part of this restaurant. Had their meal for two monsoon special. Felt the quantity could have been more.

TLDR: Pizza par excellence, but a bit pricey The good: The food is par excellence. Special mention to: One of the best pizzas I've had in Kochi. Delicious beef short rib. The bad: Bit pricey. Gets a bit humid and that doesn't go great with Kochi temperatures. (You don't really expect to sweat while you eat at a place of this price range) The ugly: Nil

We stumbled upon this charming cafe and deli during our visit to Kochi, and it exceeded all our expectations! The cozy ambiance, coupled with friendly staff, instantly made us feel welcome. The menu had an impressive selection of delicious sandwiches, salads, and delightful bake goods. We couldn't resist trying their special coffee, and it was a true treat for our taste buds. What set this place apart was the attention to detail and the use of fresh, local ingredients. Every bite was bursting with flavor! Whether you're looking for a quick coffee stop or a scrumptious meal, this cafe and deli in Kochi is a must-visit. We can't wait to go back for more! 😍👌

This cafe is a mesmerizing escape, where nature and taste harmonize to create an unforgettable experience. The moment you step inside, you're cocooned in an ambiance that's a perfect blend of greeny, earthy, and cozy. It's like being transported to a secret garden of tranquility. Now, about the food – it's a culinary delight that tantalizes your taste buds. The thin-crust, hand-tossed pizza is a revelation. Every slice is a masterpiece, leaving you yearning for more. And those tacos! They're not just delicious; they're a flavor explosion. While the vegetarian options are slightly outnumbered by the non-veg choices, what's on offer is pure magic. Each dish is a mouthwatering symphony of flavors that lingers long after the meal is over. Expect crowds, though. You might have to wait for a table, but every second is worth it. It's my go-to spot for unwinding, and the food leaves me utterly speechless. Oh, and let's not forget the impeccable washrooms – they're spotlessly clean, a rare and welcome find. The service? Top-notch. David Hall Pandhal Cafe isn't just a cafe; it's a sanctuary where you indulge in the best of nature, food, and service, leaving you eagerly anticipating your next visit.

The ambience of the place is amazing, the place for sure has a vibe. It totally gives Goa feels. Also there are art works to enhance the experience further. It's also accessible since it's located in Fort Kochi near other cafes. We tried Iced Espresso, Hazelnut Iced coffee, and Hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was amazing while other two were average. Overall a nice place to visit.

Located in Fort Kochi, we went here for lunch as the pizzas came highly recommended. The place is quiet and seating is next to a lawn with plenty of birds around. I ordered the Earth Pizza which was awesome, and my friend ordered a chicken pizza which he said was great too. To drink I ordered a Passion Fruit and Rich gourd juice which both good and writes at the same time. Staff is friendly and helpful with the menu, the only disappointment was we had to call for the cheque three-four times before they actually got it.

This is a good place to hang out with friends, family, or even with yourself IF you are willing to splurge a little. The ambience is great and the food is delicious. They've got a good variety of dishes, and i hear the pizza is to die for. But as you can see, the pizza wasn't what I ordered. Pandhal is located within David Hall, and when we went there, an art exhibition was on display. It helped us while away time as we waited for a table. The cafe is towards the back of this building, and they also have outdoor garden seating. Which means, along with greenery, light and fresh air, you also get some overtly friendly bugs, and the waft of cigarette smoke if someone has lit up. Is it worth the trip to the Fort Kochi area? Depends on the traffic:) But great food, friendly staff and yes, ample parking!

Best cafe I have ever visited. The place is now run by Pandhal cake shop. The food is excellent. And the ambience is mind blowing. Came back for breakfast after we were impressed by the dinner. We tried the wood fired pizza, babka toast, avocado mushroom toast, coffee, pancakes, crepes. The cold coffee was nothing extraordinary. All the other items were truely amazing.

The hospitality was so good (especially the guy and a grl, they were super nice to me from the start to end). The highlight was the art displayed makes us so hppy and shocked by those pieces as well. Also it's famous for the pizzas and if you want to try other stuffs as well, it will be good as well.

Hosted a birthday party for my client yesterday for 20 guests. All the staff at David Hall were extremely helpful and very cooperative. Especially Mr Koshy who went out of his way to deliver over and beyond! Service was excellent and the food was delicious!! Of course, most points go to the thin crust pizza which is what drew us to David Hall in the first place! The chicken pizza was tastier than I had remembered! Bonus points for the tasty Chicken biriyani having boneless chicken pieces! I will definitely be recommending David Hall for small get togethers like this. Couple of things that would've better was if there were a little more ambient lighting and table fans on the lawns where we sat down for dinner.

  • 4/5 Tomáš K. 5 months ago on Google
Place is nice and fresh, pizza is really wonderful. But the service is quite bad; we had to ask twice just to get glasses for water. And coffee & chai which we ordered took 40 minutes to prepare (!!) We finished our pizza and drinks have still not arrived. So we thought they forgot and decided to leave. Only then waiter suddenly brought drinks. But we said at checkout that drinks were not consumed, so they removed it from the bill without issue. So even though they were terribly slow, service were still polite and fair.

The restaurant is only meant for Western people and they don't expect the customers to share their food. I had a very bad experience. Me and my wife visited the David Hall Cafe Deli Pandhal cafe in Fortkochi. We are generally less eaters and cannot eat a huge quantity of food. We ordered a meal dish named Hoiseen Chicken with short grain fried rice. The whole meal came in a single plate and the plate was full and heavy. Generally if we order a Biriyani, the biriyani will come in a portion plate and we will have another plate to serve the needed quantity and we never eat the huge heap of biriyani on the same plate which will look so awkward. So I called the staff and asked for a separate plate and all that they give was a 4 inch tiny saucer kind of side plate. It was a real tough time to move the meal portion into a small tiny saucer side plate. I asked couple of staff to get me a normal plate and they told that that restaurant is mainly for pizza and they have only tiny side plates to eat and they also told that new normal size plates are getting purchased soon. What you have to note is, there will be different kinds of people who love to eat food comfortably and today even after paying a premium bill I got a tiny little saucer to have the meal. On the other side I cannot imagine to have the Hoiseen Chicken meal in a plate wich literally looked like a plate that is used for canine. I felt really bad and I want the management to take an action. Please understand that there are some who love to share food and you need to make sure that they eat the food comfortably.. Well kudos to the chef..the dish was awesome..but this feeling i will never forget and I will surely have my rating based on this and convey the same when people reach out to me for restaurant reference. In short Cafe Deli Pandhal David cafe is not meant for people who love to share food..next time when you go there try to carry your own plate...

Great place for art lovers. There are many paintings on display which change occasionally so it's not same always. The ambience is good but the food is bit on the pricey end. Tried the passion fruit granitina drink which was really good. The kombucha was also nice. Tried the Korean fried chicken which wasn't upto expectation. The sandwiches were also not that great. However out of 3 people who had food from here 2 got sick soon after having had food from here which ruined everything.

Great food, drinks, food, service and ambience. Weekdays are a little slow and laid back for relaxation while weekends are for the busy crowd who like to blend in. Their hot kitchen is preferred than the bakery items. Food that touches the soul.

Amazing ambience and food! Everything about this place is awesome. The owner/manager was super friendly and the staff was attentive and polite. Strong competition for whether the food or ambience is the best feature of this lovely Café. The food is on the pricier side but it's all very worth it. Especially the brunch bowl, which blew our minds away. The jalapeño and corn pancakes are pretty much the best I've ever had. Their desserts were amazing too! I honestly can't think of a negative thing to say about this place. Went there 4 times in the short span of time I was in Fort Kochi and found something great each time 😍

Walked in to see the Biennale exhibit. The bakery display tempted us to explore the cafe further. We relished some Caramel Crunch from the bakery. Followed this with some lemon juice and iced filter coffee. Ended with a portion of garlic fries which were amazing 🤩! The evening got better when the mango tree over our table blessed us with it's produce, not once, not twice, but, thrice! Overall, definitely recommend coming here for a relaxing and chill vibe. The staff are extremely polite, respectful and friendly! We exchanged banter over a slice of the mango, and just like that you find a little piece of home away from home. Would love to see some gluten free options on the menu☺️.

Aesthetic Oasis with Unique Delicacies Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent visit to Pandhal in Fort Kochi was an absolute delight! This cafe is a hidden gem that combines stunning aesthetics with delectable treats, making it a perfect place to work from or simply savor some unique flavors. The first thing that struck me was the cafe's ambiance. It's a haven for anyone seeking a beautiful and serene workspace. The cozy yet vibrant decor, combined with ample natural light, creates an ideal environment to get work done or simply unwind. But what truly sets Pandhal apart is its exceptional menu. The delicacies and bakes offered here are unlike anything I've tasted elsewhere. Each dish seems to have a touch of creativity and uniqueness that makes it memorable. And let's not forget the legendary Mattancherry spice cake, a Christmas exclusive that's only available through pre-booking. It's a must-try, and I can't wait to return during the holiday season to indulge in this special treat. The staff at Pandhal are also friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Whether you're a local looking for a cozy hangout or a traveler exploring Fort Kochi, this cafe is a must-visit. In summary, Pandhal is a true aesthetic oasis with a menu that's sure to tantalize your taste buds. Don't miss the chance to experience this unique cafe when you're in Fort Kochi. It's a culinary and visual treat that you won't soon forget!
