The beach is now temporarily close for public. The official notice displayed is because of Covid 19 restrictions. But even after the government opened the tourists places and beaches this beach remain closed for public, the way to the beach is closed with barricades. However the Fisher men are allowed, also in the morning time the police were not stopping to enter. The police force are deployed in front of the entrance because of the local stick against the gas bottling plant next to the beach. They are also routing the visitors to the Valappu Beach which is near to this place.

Puthuvype Beach in Eranakulam is a beautiful and serene destination that is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The beach is located in a quiet and peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beach is a long stretch of golden sand, lined with palm trees and surrounded by lush greenery. The water is clear and inviting, making it a great spot for swimming and other water activities. There are also plenty of opportunities for relaxation, with beachside cafes and restaurants offering delicious local cuisine and refreshing drinks. One of the highlights of Puthuvype Beach is the stunning sunset views. Watching the sun dip below the horizon while sitting on the beach is a truly magical experience. The beach is also a popular spot for fishing, and you can often see local fishermen casting their nets into the water. Overall, Puthuvype Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Whether you want to soak up the sun, take a dip in the ocean, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the area, this beach has something for everyone.

Good beach to spend some time with family and friends , but not so clean. You can find a used face mask everywhere. There are few shops near by which provides live snacks. Not that worth for a drive to this beach alone from city.

Loved the beach ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ–๏ธ First time to the beach and little bit surprised as there was the tourism mela was conducted with all fun activities, mainly the 4x4 jeep competition which was conducted on the beach itself. Ice cream stalls, baji shops were there as usuall in every beach but here it was in more nos. Beach was fully occupied by people and the track of competition. A sky wheel, death well and other entertainment options was there.

It is a beautiful vast beach. It's a great location for localities and tourists to visit in kochi. It's a good place to spend time with children and pets and is not that crowded. There are a lot of areas for pets to run around and play . The mornings and evenings are peaceful there.

Nice place to spend time with family and kids in the evening with the breezy sea winds and night views of the sea. But no proper Boundaries for the sea in the night time as there is no lights too. Apart from this many are enjoying the Beautiful and lovely Wall arts. Arts are really beautiful and realistic even in night time... Also there is small playing area for kids and seating for adults. Nice memories with my family. There are several shaded spots with benches, perfect for a picnic with friends or family. The presence of lifeguards ensures the safety of visitors, further enhancing the overall experience. Additionally, This Beach benefits from a lack of overcrowding, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful getaway.

This beach area now taken up by BPCL bottling plant and this beach got moved towards the valappu side. This is good beach with lots of beach area. Plan the same along with the beautiful light house. There are plenty of trees and there are local food courts at the beginning side. Also the approach road is now made good leading to the beach - and the road from LPG terminal to beach is good.

Puthuvype beach is 3-4 Kms from Vypin jangar service, a lesser known beach visited by locals. The vast beach isn't very commercialized and one will find couple of vendors selling ice cream and drinking water. There's also Vypin light house that one can visit. It is said that the light house used to be on the sea shore some 40 years ago. Constant deposit of sand created the beach which is much better than Cherai beach. Note: Vypin light house is closed indefinitely due to COVID-19.

The beach had a shack selling food now. Very family friendly but please make sure to carry your waste home and not to throw on the beach. Plus please be careful of families around you when you drive on the beach and make sure it is 4wd. I normally make sure the beach is quite empty before I drive in the sand or go there in after 10pm.

If you love a good live beach experience in Kochi, Puthuvype is the best place to go. If you look closely we can spot lots of small sea creatures by the beach. There are a lot of small shops to have snacks and kulukki sarbaths. But these days it's so crowded that you'll think twice before visiting. But the whole experience is just the bomb.

Located near to Trivadrum International Airport, beautiful and clean beach. An airforce helicopter and beautiful sculpture of a mermaid adds the value. A cosy coffee house is located in the beach where you can sip the coffee with the beautiful view of sea n breeze. The sculpture sagarakanyaka (mermaid) built by famous artist Kanayi kunjiraman is wonderful to watch. The park around the helicopter donated by indian airforce is under construction and likely to be completed in couple of months time.

First place coming in mind when people of trivandrum or traveler from other places exploring Thiruvananthapuram. Wonderful Hangout beach and scenic sunset view. Wide beach to spend time with family. Good quality street food and snack bars. Mostly by local people including those from other states settled in trivandrum. On weekends and holidays, it may be little crowded as other picnic beaches. But wide and lengthy beach doesnt feel like over crowded. Roads leading to the beach may be crowded at and near of parking lots. It possess uniqueness of all age categories presence and provides a happy vibe. After covid 19 out break an sea roughness, entry restricted to the sea side (latest update Jan 2021). Take care of your travel plans.

One of the beautiful beach in tvm near airport. The speciality of this place is four trasport system are meet together in shankumugham.. air, road , rail and water.. these four are met here together.. and this beach give us calm and quiet place.. most of the people visit here evening and holidays.. we can see beautiful sunset in the sea. One children's park is here.. now there opened a new restaurant of KTDC for tourist.. but sea is not safe for children.. one who dnt know to swim you should not go to water, only stay in sea shore. Recently waves destroy the road and some seashores. So beach is little dangerous. But you can enjoy lot of time here. And one temple of sankumugham devi is also located near the sea. If you are visiting Trivandrum ,please visit sankumugham beach..

One of the less visited but yet very beautiful beach is the Puthuvype beach. This beach has not been developed for tourism and the local administration is making a lot of efforts to promote this place as an alternative to Cherai Beach, being a suburb of the city of Kochi. A lighthouse is also situated here. The light house is situated less than half a kilometer away from the beach. This lighthouse is one of the tallest in India. There is a shallow ditch to the north of the Beach. Entry to the light house is permitted from 3 P.M to 5 P.M.

It's a beautiful beach. I would say one of the cleanest I've seen north of Alleppey. Weekends could get a bit crowded, but the beach is long and prestine to take up a lot of people. Lack of lifeguards could be an issue, but as long as you play it safe you'll be just fine. It's easy to reach the beach too as there are 2 pretty wide and well paved roads.

A wonderful place to spend some good time with your family and friends. Beaches are good. Not too shallow . Beaches are generally calm and it fun that you can enjoy the vibe safely. We always good to spend nights at beach with friends. There are different equipment that we can use to do push ups , rope climbing , and other parkour activity. It is always fun to be at this beach. Evenings are usually crowded but as the light goes crowd also vanishes and you can spend some peaceful time here.

Entrance to the beach is located just behind the vypin lighthouse. Parking is available and satisfactory. Cleanliness of the beach is above average, though there is little waste dumped here and there. Went during the morning time on a weekday, and it was peaceful and quiet. Beach was very beautiful before. But now itโ€™s very dirty. A lot of plastic and waste are dumped on the beach and also the waste bins were full. Just be careful when entering into the water because the local people said thereโ€™s a deep trench with in a few metres and there is no lifeguards.

This beach is clean & a good place to spend with family & friends. We visited the beach on a weekend. It was partially crowded. Parking space was available. Not many vendors who sell food around the beach, just found a few shops. The beach was pretty clean. You can bring your dogs to the beach & get them have fun. And kids enjoyed bathing in the beach with their parents. Close to the beach there is the Puthuvype light house, which is just a few meters away from the beach. You can also get tickets & reach the top of the light house & witness the scenic beauty of the beach from the top. Entry ticket is not needed to enter the beach area. Overall a good place to spend time with friends & family.

Whether you're a solo traveler seeking solitude, a family looking for a fun-filled day at the beach, or a couple hoping for a romantic retreat, this beach caters to all. If you're in the area, I highly recommend making a visit to Puthuvype Beach - it's a coastal haven that will steal your heart!

Puthuvype Beach, located in the beautiful state of Kerala, India, offers a serene and picturesque coastal experience. During my visit to Puthuvype Beach, I was captivated by its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The beach boasts golden sands that stretch for miles, making it perfect for leisurely strolls or simply relaxing by the shore. The gentle waves of the Arabian Sea wash ashore, creating a soothing soundtrack that adds to the overall tranquility of the place. The clear blue waters invite visitors to take a dip or enjoy a refreshing swim. One of the standout features of Puthuvype Beach is its relative seclusion compared to some of the more popular beaches in Kerala. It's an ideal destination for those seeking a quieter, more intimate beach experience away from the crowds. The absence of commercialization and bustling tourist activity adds to the charm of this hidden gem. The beach is also known for its thriving fishing community, and you can witness local fishermen going about their daily routines, casting their nets, and bringing in fresh catches. It's a unique opportunity to get a glimpse into the local way of life and connect with the cultural heritage of the region. While there aren't many commercial establishments right on the beach, nearby villages offer a variety of seafood restaurants where you can savor the catch of the day prepared in traditional Kerala style. Be sure to try some of the delicious local dishes. Overall, Puthuvype Beach is a tranquil oasis that allows you to unwind and connect with nature. Its unspoiled beauty, calm waters, and the chance to experience the local culture make it a worthwhile destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Kerala's coastline.
