The place is good. The ambiance is good. The food is a normal rated food with normal cost. Tried their shakes too..that was average. They have to improve on customer service. The waiter there had not much idea about things we asked regarding the food. The restaurant is located near the lake side..so the view is really good.

It was a good experience to have lunch by the Riverside. They have a large area with ample seating space. The food was also good both quality and quantity wise. I think the portions had much quantity than I thought. The service was also much quicker than mentioned in other reviews where many had complained about their delay in service. I didn't feel so. The customer service was really good. They readily helped us by keenly listening to our requirements. Only negative i found was that it was too hot inside and a slight fowl smell was there, which I suppose was coming from the riverside.

Ambience is Good. Food is average. But Customer service is very bad. We have to wait very long time to order food and get that food in our table. It is good if the staffs will smile in the front of customer. Every one have to call the staffs for ordering food and cleaning the table. It is also good that if one glass of water provides the customer when they arrive.

The Salt restaurant is located at the back of Marina Mall Thoppumpady, near the bridge. It offers a picturesque view of the river right from the table! A great place to hangout with friends and family. We ordered Chicken Kuzhimanthi and it was good.

Nice ambience both night and daytime. Faces towards the river gives you an mesmerizing experience with cool breeze. Food is also good and pocket friendly. It's an ideal place for small outing with friends and family as well as a dating with your beloved one. Chicken Lollipop is my favourite dish from here, it's really juicy! Tried their chicken mandhi & butter naan, tasted great. Love their ambience but for lime soda their charge is too much!

The salt restaurant, went to this restaurant with family and is a best place to have a dinner with family and friends with a magnificent view of old thoppumpadi bridge(harbour bridge). Once you look into the menu card, chances are very high that you get confused what to order as they provide a wide variety of dishes at reasonable price. The quality of the food is good and the waiters are super friendly.

Multilevel Restaurant, located near Thoppumpadi River Banks, Parking spaces are very congested, Resturant ambience is just fine, Restrooms are not clean. The night view from the restaurant is eye pleasing and are very busy on weekends. We tried Fish Mandi (Chemballi), Mandi rice was unlimited,taste was okay, Fish was fresh and tasty and well marinated.Also we tried their drinks Red Lady(Papaya - Pineapple Mix), Ginger Tea, Mint Tea and Boost. Prices were fair and reasonable.

One of the few restaurants with beautiful backwaters view. And also good food. I have been here twice and both times I really liked the food. Kuzhimanthy was so that yummy with the special spicy mayo and the grilled chicken legs was also so good with tenderness.

The view and ambience is what attracts everyone here. Good for an evening out with family or friends. Food is good, not great. They have some special items which are shown in the pictorial menu. Service is okay, some of the staff have an attitude problem. Not very friendly. I noticed some areas of the restaurant where food was lying on the floor. Nobody is bothered to clean it. Lack of cleanliness can be seen. Car parking is a disaster, and expect huge rush during weekend evenings.

As expected the ambiance was good except for the mild stench from the water nearby. Tables away from the water could be considered. Food was excellent. Quantity is enough for 2 people so ordering with considering is suggested. Had fruit mojitos which were also good. Must try restaurant with you visit Kochi.

Everything from the decor to ambiance to food was amazing. Just love the upmarket, chic style. Very instagrammable, with tables on the ground and upper levels. Food was really tasty and portions were sufficient, however service was kind of slacking. The waiter dropped the tissue infront of us and used it to wipe my plate. That was kinda disgusting. Also, I don’t appreciate the staff throwing tissues over the rail into the sea, very bad for the environment.

Had an amazing dine in experience at The Salt, Thoppumpady. Great ambience and good food altogether however biriyani was not up to the mark. Apart from Biriyani, we ordered Mandi and prawns and enjoyed the dinner by riverside. The only drawback is that they have a delay in service though the place was not over crowded when we visited at night. Otherwise customer service is good.

It was a nice lake view to dining here. Most of the people's are coming here to enjoy. It was a amazing experience. Little rain poured and warm breeze and nice songs. Wow❤️ i thought these ambience everyone like it. It was one of the best restaurant in kochii. Food and services are satisfied

A good place for get together .Nice food and ambience. Good for the groups.Both Ac and open air seating is available.On one side we have Venbanadu lake.Arabian cuisines are good. I am not a fan of their other dishes especially Korean.

Even during the hectic rain that happened during the busy hours inside the hotel, It was iffy wet and cold when we got there. But inside it was all good even though there was wind splashing rain drops through the opening. Dining was great with excellent service. If you really want to spend some quality time with your family and friends, The Salt is a good place you should consider. During the rainy seasons waiting ahead for us a dinner from salt will be quite an experience, well you can definitely feel the wind splashing with raindrops but don't worry they have an upstairs dining hall with sealed windows. Service and ambience was exceptional too. You will love it ✌🏼😉

This cafe has a pleasant atmosphere and vibe. With its furnishings, decors, aquarium, indoor plants, the area is well-lit at night. The meal was satisfying and had a nice taste.

The food was very tasty.I ordered one paneer butter masala one mutter paneer and one Gobhi manchurian with butter non. Gravy of paneer butter masala and mutter paneer was wonderful and tasty, In the soft drink we ordered blue lime juice was good. The overall experience was good and memorable.

This place is just Amazing..... Set on the riverside.... The ambience is just killer..... The beef dishes here were amazing... Loved every dish we tried.... We mainly tried the combos..... And they were paisa vasool..... We had a hearty Meal here...... Just amazing!!!!

Ambience is nice. But food items are not upto the mark. We ordered Grilled fish, overpriced and tastes not good. Fish has rubbery consistency and not well cooked. Conveyed the feedback to waiter but not came with any solution.

Excellent spot for fooding and with heavy ambience! Recommended to visit this spot especially for dinner and take a seat with lake and the old thoppumpadi bridge view. I really admire this restaurant for serving tasty and wide variety of food for both vegetarians and non vegetarians as well. Really stunned by seeing the menu options and most of the items were available. I ordered salt special soup, vegetable biryani, vegetable pulao, paneer kolhapuri, butter roti, chapati and a mutton roast. Out of these items I ordered kanthari mutton which was not available and instead I replaced it with mutton roast. Parking was a little bit conjunction but there was no waiting to park and got the slot right away even if it was a Sunday at 8 pm IST. Must must visit spot! A must visit destination for foodies. They have budget-friendly dishes on their menu. They have a unique menu and the sauces were added perfectly to the dishes we ordered. The view from the restaurant is also good, but there is an issue of mosquitoes when you sit in the open dining area .

Had Fish(Red Snapper) Mandi, rice was good but not sure whether it was real Mandi rice since the fish was.a shallow fried one. But otherwise the ambience is good. Servers are ok and the price is reasonable

Located at the heart spot of the city, this restaurant is being a welcome face to South Kochi. Very wide range of dishes on the menu. Chinese, Indian and Arabian cuisines are the main. Mandhi and several types of biryanis are the signature dish. Tastier food with sufficient quantity. The night view feels better, the ambiance is influenced by the lighting they have arranged. The cons I felt are the place is a little bit hot on day times and they haven't arranged many things to settle it out. The single wall-mounted fan can't omit the heat for much time. Secondly, there is much wait time for the dish to come (according to the rush). Thirdly parking space is much limited, ideal for 5-6 four-wheelers. If it's full, you need to find out a space on the roadside. Leaving out these facts, this is a good restaurant. Service can be improved. It was a crowded night there with parking full, people waiting to be seated and there were many people and online delivery guys waiting for parcels. We told we were 7 people + a baby. We waited 20 min and got a table. A lady staff who was taking orders told us to wait for the next table to become free. We waited 15 mins more. The staff bought both tables together and we finally ordered - they told due to the rush, order will take 30 min s.. After around 15 min , a new staff came and told that they needed one table as one table is supposed to seat 6 people , so they will take one table and give a chair. We told once the food came, how can 7 people and a baby sit with the table full of food. He told it's their policy that a table should seat 6. So finally after being there for almost an hour, we got up and decided to take the food as parcel. The parcel took another 20 min. So in all a very bad day for a family outing as after waiting for an hour seeing and smelling food all around us , we had to leave to eat cold food at home. The ambience is decent, food is nice , but the attitude , especially to a family with 2 kids, was disgusting and unprofessional.

The restaurant gives good vibes, you can dine in with your friends, family or even so. The best part is you get the food really fast. ❤️
