Visited the property with our family of 25 after 18 years to be precise. We were all incredibly happy with the quality of service & the hospitality extended. The staff went out of the way to ensure that we got everything that we were looking for. We stayed in the lake view rooms from 101 to 112. Highly recommend you stay in these rooms as they have the best view. They have a rustic vintage feel which is a part of their charm, only thing they can probably revamp is the state of the rest rooms, cause they do require an upkeep.

Great location and an unmatched experience! Pleasing place to be at Kodaikanal for a couple of days. An exquisite lake view along with massive rooms makes this a must visit on a vacation tour. Outdoor fireplace, cycling tracks and much more really makes this place worth the pay.

Good quality rooms and well-maintained place. Certain rooms, have very scenic view of the lake. Service was very good and all the staff was out to help you if you needed it. There are bicycles that you can take around the lake for a nice bike ride. There is a recreational club where you can have some fun inside while its raining outside. There is a pool table, tennis table, foosball, and other fun small games for a day inside. All the facilities and customer service was amazing. Great place to stay if you love a pretty lake view and want good quality service!

This hotel is situated in a prime location, right in front of the picturesque Kodaikanal Lake. This location provides guests with direct access to the lake, allowing for a serene and tranquil experience. The hotel offers a variety of room types, with a majority of them featuring stunning views of the lake. Waking up to the morning vibes in front of the lake is truly an awesome experience. The panoramic view of the lake, both from the rooms and the hotel, is simply breathtaking. The hotel has done a wonderful job of maintaining the surroundings, creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests to enjoy. When it comes to dining, the hotel provides a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The spread offered is quite extensive, providing a wide range of options for guests. While the food is generally tasty, it may not be exceptional. However, it still manages to satisfy most palates. Unfortunately, during my stay, I encountered an issue with the water from the shower and pipes. It contained a considerable amount of charcoal-like dust particles, which was unexpected and not up to par with the overall experience. Overall, despite the minor setback with the water, my stay at The Carlton Kodaikanal was awesome. The hotel's stunning location, with its direct access to the lake, and the beautiful views it offers, made for a memorable experience. Additionally, the buffet meals, although not outstanding, were still enjoyable

Great location by the lake, excellent facility, clean and pristine. To top it all the service and hospitality was outstanding 👏👌. There were many folks that were very courtesy and helpful, but a special shout out to Muthu Vel at the restaurant. He was always on the lookout to make our dining experience memorable, his attention to detail and an attitude of servitude is to be commended. To the management team, keep up the good work, you have an amazing staff,, we will be visiting your facility more often. Thank you for making our trip memorable.

Very good lake view from the room. AWESOME hospitality from entire staff, room service. They also have games and kids fun activities in evening.. Great place

It's one of the best places to stay at Kodaikanal right next to Lake. You will get awesome view of the lake from your balcony. There is an indoor and outdoor play area which kids would love; they also provide bicycles which you can take around the lake.

Hi It is an old classic hotel with good lawn space and Kodaikanal Lake view decent property for stay of day for two, it has its pro and cons but yall can give it a try. Pro nice play area for kids. The view from the room is good. more lawn space. Well experienced staff Con Wi-Fi process can be Improved, Buffet can be improved, They don’t have À la cart , rooms are clumsy, They don’t have swimming pool, Massage parlours were old and congested, All games in clubhouse are chargeable Room service costly, The design of the hotel is bit confusing you have to be there for a day or two to understand it, The restrooms are in US style with bathtub & shower Overall its a decent property to stay in kodai

Best place for a memorable holiday.The hotel is located on the lake side with a picturesque view of the kodai lake on one side .Has big spacious rooms with lake view and cottages also . Balcony is there for rooms , tourists can sit,relax ,enjoy the view of the beautiful lake and foggy climate from there . Lawn is also there with chairs and tables on both floors. Restaurant is also good with live dosa counters and variety of dishes .Service is also at its best Rooms especially wash rooms are clean and well maintained. Parking is also not an issue except for season time .Rates are bit high especially during season time but considering the ambience, location and services its at par .

Had a great stay here with my family!!! The service and hospitality is so good and the staff are very pleasant and friendly. All the tourist spots are very nearby to this hotel. Overall we had a excellent experience . Thanks to the team for providing very good stay to the customers. Special mention to Mr. Senrayan for his excellent service.

We went there for dinner. The service there was excellent. Food except for desserts were good. They could have had better options for desserts.

From where do I start!! Should I start by thanking the management of Carlton for having & maintaining such a lovely property and a wonderful team or should I start with the staffs of Carlton who are doing a fantabulous Job in taking care of their guests, as a team or should I start with two of the best people I ever met in service industry I.e, Mr TR Shankar(Restaurant Manager) and Mr Manikandan (Chef).... Well, I think, I should start with my own cumulative experience till date in Kodai, all these years and having done multiple trips!! To be honest, eventhough I have seen Carlton.. I never stayed there even once before.. Since it was an old Iconic property, I perceived that it won't be good, my bad. Even this trip we initially stayed in another property of a good brand, similarly priced, but in two days due to poor food and service we decided to vacate the place and that's when my wife asked me to check with Carlton, turned out to be the best decision. From check-in till check-out we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and my sincere gratitude to the whole team of Carlton. While all of them were super good, I think I should point out two people who were exceptional i.e., 1. Mr T.r Shankar - why? Eventhough he was the head of the restaurant with so many years of rich experience... He led the team by example, I mean, I never saw him sitting in one place or distracted or idle!! He was running that extra mile with his team with full Josh and was providing exceptional service to the quests.., what a person, really superb. 2. Mr Manikandan (Chef) - We loved the food and enjoyed every single day of the stay, awesome it was. In fact, myself and my wife were discussing to an extent that we will go to the hotel where Manikandan is the Chef, in case if he changes from Carlton to another brand. Also, he was so nice and kind to us and took care us so very well. Best service and food experience from the chef himself!! Loved his care and attitude, so humble he is and some of the dishes I had was the best ever. For people who are looking out for a good hotel in Kodaikanal - I genuinely recommend Carlton for their unmatchable location, food and above all their exceptional service. So, if you can afford, please don't look any further and book your stay in Carlton. I am sure that you will thank me later for my recommendation ☺️ Love you team Carlton, keep up your good work🥳👍

We went to this beautiful serene property on Sunday for a lunch .. it was my husband's birthday.. they really made him feel special as the staffs were cordial,warm and welcoming . One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in the recent past.. an absolute pleasant experience staying here .. right from check in to the end of our trip we were completely satisfied with our experience. Hospitality of the staff was on point, rooms were clean and spacious with a wonderful view of the lake. Boating and shopping is close by and we could walk to those. Carlton club is also good with lots of options for playing and recreation. We spent a good amount of time here. They have cycles inside the hotel , free of cost for guests which was also good. Coming to the food , the buffet options were wide and tasted really good. Staff were very polite here too and got what we needed at all times . I would definitely recommend this place for anyone planning to Kodai.

Had a 3 day stay here im between our core India trip and we had an amazing time , the hospitality that they showed us was excellent and all staffs were absolutely respectful , my kids needed special food and they made it without any hesitation . The property is also very clean and food was amazing . Love to come back again - Mr.Antony , Mr.Rajkumar and all their team /co staffs deserves a 5 star . Thank You Carlton for a great memoir

The hospitality is great and all the staffs behavior is very soft and always helping in nature. Location of the hotel is excellent and rooms are very neat and clean. Food taste is too good and cook used visit ask the level of spicy and accordingly he changes our needs. Event management also excellent.

The Hotel is by far par excellence! It’s been a beautiful experience and my parents enjoyed a lot. The food, coffee, dinner, breakfast and stay exceeded our expectations. Loved sitting next to fireplace in the grand hall. Arun, Simpson, Anand, Smita and everyone else were most cordial. Will come back again only for Carlton

Fantastic location overlooking the Kodaikanal Lake.😂 Just a narrow road between the hotel and the lake. Superb quality maintenance and overall arrangements. Rooms are beautifully designed and the lake can be seen from all over.

I would like to share this review based on my 1 nights of stay! We have a 5-year-old kid and 1 year old baby and the experience were truly amazing. We were greeted by the ever so courteous Front Office personnel Mrs.Kanmani and took care of my 1 year baby wherever it was essential in a very professional manner. This is my second visit and never hesitate to visit in future also

Excellent location beside the lake. The balcony opens up to the serene lake and aesthetic landscaping. Its a heavenly feeling. The rooms are spacious and good with well crafted boutique touch. Its worth to stay at this Carlton for our money due

Firstly the property is well located, rooms perfectly planned out to provide the best view of the lake.The property is a piece of art for its structue and landscaping. Hospitality was excellent. Service and maintenance was on point.The standard of food has been improvised to its best. Their amenities (The Den) could have been included in the package. Felt very refreshed at the Spa, Sauna and jacuzzi. Perfect place to stay.

A very good place for your stay at Kodaikanal. As mentioned they have free WiFi which will keep you connected. Breakfast and Dinner are complementary and the best part is that the view from the balcony is amazing.

Unbelivably good staff, amazing variety of food and beautiful property We were at this paradise on earth from 17/5/22 to 20/5/22 - 3N4D . Beauty of Nature and its design can be very well seen in pictures ,on website .What me and my family would like to share as a part of memorable trip is their Human resource wealth . Each and every team member makes a classic symbol of hospitality .Right from security who greets you at the main gate to Reception team , Restaurant Captain and his team , Room service team ,House keeping team,Gift shop lady , Travel Desk Gentleman - every one was passionate about service with smile straight from heart . Everyone wore masks too ! Truly happy with ambience , facilities , choice of menu , buffet spread ( Breakfast and dinner that was a part of package ) , spacious rooms ( we were in super Deluxe room with lake facing large size balcony on first floor ) ,huge area for enjoying nature and beautification around . Everything - cycling track ( cycles are complimentary from Hotel ) ,walking track around the lake ,Shops with local specialities , Pay and park are easily accessible. We decided to be just there enjoying intermediate rain, fog ,cool breeze and projection of IPL matches on full screen . Worth every penny spent !

Very good Hotel to stay in Kodaikanal and it is very near by lake , all staff's are extremely friendly and courteous.Mr.Anand was very friendly and helpful.
