Like all American restaurants in Japan, it was way too overpriced for all we had. Our salad was way too simple for the price and lacked taste. 1200 yen ($12) for a very basic Caesar salad that a 2 year old could throw together and was barely big enough for two people. The coleslaw wasn’t very creamy or crunchy. Of course I understand that every coleslaw is different but for me, I really dislike that style of coleslaw because it’s got that sweet element to it but it doesn’t have anything to deliver a fuller taste. The fries were fine and the burger was fine, but they are definitely better places with a more exciting atmosphere. I can’t say much about the customer service either lads. There were times are glasses were half empty. I really want to give a positive point about this place but all I could remember was just a lack of atmosphere about the place. It felt dead inside very unlike the burger joints in America. Portions sizes weren’t as good either. I will definitely like to visit this place again and find out the good point. Because maybe we didn’t order the right food or just something wasn’t right but considering other reviews online, it must be great so let’s give this place another chance again sometime in the future.

20230731 - combo set and BBQ bacon hamburger both tastes awesome. Chicken and pulled pork are tender and the hamburger is full of rich flavors and juicy. Even the side dishes, potatoes and grilled vegetables that I had today, are also impressive. Love it! Just the volume is not as much as some previous reviews said. Probably I expected too much before I visited there. I’d say the meal volume just fits an adult. Anyway, it’s a nice restaurant, where you could relax yourself, causally chat loudly with your friends and enjoys delicious meat!

Wonderful environment!! We ordered the Big Boy Tray! The chicken was amazing. They offer sauce that you can add if you want to but the chicken didn't need it. We got the hot sausage and mild sausage. Both are very flavorful! We also split the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. That came with some mashed potatoes. I also got a double whiskey that came in a fun glass. I took a video that you can view. Overall experience... 5 stars and I will be co ing back!! Make sure to call ahead and make reservations. We were lucky to be able to walk in.

Ordered the big boy platter and it was great! The fries are amazing, the sausage is very tasty, the grilled chicken was juicy, the pulled pork was soft and the ribs is pretty tender. The price is very reasonable for the portion that is served, but it would definitely be great if they were more generous with the grilled vegetables portion! The staff are all very friendly, everyone speaks English! Entering this restaurant made me feel like I was not in Japan at all, in a good way. I would definitely come back here again!

This place is by far one of the most recommended places for smoked meat. You can come as a group. It is also English friendly. I highly recommend to take the set menu if you come as group. You should try the grilled veggie, chicken and sausages.

Excellent food. Even the fries were the best I've had in a long time. That half rack of ribs was extremely soft and full of meat, worth the price. Paired with a fancy beer I can't remember what it was called, but was light and fruity. If you ask, they might give you a sample to try one out (the beer, not the ribs). For my second visit. All you can see are the bones. It was too tasty to stop and take a picture before it was all gone.

Now, that's what I call proper barbecue meat. Perfectly grilled and that's an awesome chunk of lean meat without any layers of fat, unlike all those scam restaurants out there shamelessly serving you fat instead of the meat you expect. Side dishes are pretty good, service is super fast and staff is genuinely awesome. A+++

Blown away with the service here, the staff were all really lovely and spoke English too, which I wasn’t expecting. Food was excellent too, I live in Osaka and it’s so hard to find this type of bbq food. The ribs were incredible, the chicken was ok and I would have liked a bit more sauce. Probably could have ordered some extra but I didn’t on this occasion. Also the portion size was way bigger than I expected! Will definitely come back and try some of the other options!

I came to Midtown Yokohama for a going away lunch. I did not think that Japan could have SUCH wonderful BBQ! I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs. Boy, they were tender! I would definitely come here again when I get the chance. The food was absolutely delicious!

We were here for the lunch set and added the Wednesday special of wings. The food lived up to my expectations. The wings were tender and well-marinated, I didn’t even need the BBQ sauce. My pulled pork burger had tender pork and the sides of fries and potato salad were so generous, I skipped the burger bun. The steak option was also fantastic! The service was warm and friendly. We were handed towels upon being seated. The restaurant was beautifully designed and maintained. As a bonus, this restaurant had the best washroom I visited in Japan! An absolute gem of a find.

We got the Godzilla plate because we had 8 adults and 4 kids and it was more than enough food! We took home 3 boxes of leftovers (everything reheats very well, even the fries). Everything was delicious! They were very accommodating for our big group (we had reservations) and were in a separate room with a TV so the kids were entertained. Even though we can get BBQ in the USA, it is well worth the visit and one of the better BBQ places I've ever had!

This place had everything about America that makes me a little embarrassed. Loud obnoxious customers. Customers stumbling out drunk. Ordering in excess. If you miss home I guess this is the place for you. The sausage and rib eye were great attempts at tasting American, but you can shake that amazing Japanese flare. The super 7 west coast IPA was the closest IPA I have ever had from any attempt anywhere. It was just very light in flavor. The brisket was amazing hands down. Melty, tender and smokey! If you miss America this place is close, it's worth a try.

The brisket was juicy, and the fries were the best I've had in Japan. We tried the smoked sausage and it was crispy, juicy and smokey at the same time. We'll keep going back...

Amazing! The food was so good. Probably some of the best bbq I’ve had. The sides were fresh and flavorful. The Big Boy platter was great! Also had the chicken for a starter which had hella flavor! The drinks were nice and strong too! Beautiful establishment and definitely will come back!

Midtown BBQ did NOT disappoint. Wow! Midtown had really good bbq. My husband’s dinner of wagyu brisket was simply amazing. The meat was so tender and flavorful that it melted away in your mouth leaving you wanting another and another bite. My bbq chicken was also tender with just the right amount of smoky flavor. The coleslaw reminded me of my childhood where a similar homemade version of slaw could always be found at family summertime picnics. The coleslaw had a well balanced blend of both creamy and tangy. If you’re missing bbq, and you’re near Yokohama I would recommend a visit and make sure you come hungry! The only critique I had was that I was hoping they might offer more of a selection of sides like macaroni and cheese, greens, and some beans but this is definitely not a dealbreaker. The bbq is no joke!

Their food is amazing! We live down in southern Honshu, and every time we come up to Nagoya, Tokyo or Yokohama we have to get Midtown BBQ! The brisket is a must, and pair it with a glass of the “Juice is Loose Hazy IPA”! You will not regret it. They usually have a couple Tall Boys Brewery’s beers on-tap; it’s one of the best craft breweries in all of Japan. Honestly, everything about this restaurant is top notch! Now if we could only convince the owner to open one near Hiroshima we would be set!

Excellent BBQ and beer spot. I got the 1/2 rack of spare ribs with the A5 Wagyu brisket. Mark and his team were really welcoming and provided great service. We only had a reservation for two but they accommodated four of us we had some late arrivals. This is the best BBQ I have eaten in Japan. Good selection of beers help set the welcoming atmosphere.

Classic 100% American steakhouse! Amazing meat, flavor and sauces. The portion sizes are perfect and the staff are very kind and welcoming. You can buy their spicy sauce there, which I recommend since its cheaper than anywhere else. 10/10 I will visit again when in Yokohama!

I was impressed with the quality of the western food offered at this restaurant. We started with delicious nachos. Then, I ate the classic cheeseburger and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious.

The food here is great and so is the service. The staff is super accommodating and helpful even when you don’t speak Japanese. If you miss American style BBQ this is the best you will get in Japan. I got the lunch special and it was a lot of food for only ¥1500. I have been more then once and I will go again. I highly recommend!!

Don't let the price of the Wagyu scare you from getting it. It's worth every cent. We had the A5 Wagyu Tenderloin Steak and the Angus Ribeye for main courses and then Caramel Cheesecake for dessert. The ribeye was really good, and even with how good it was, it paled in comparison to the Wagyu. If food is your love language, then bring a ring because you'll want to spend the rest of your life with the Wagyu.

The first time I went it was good, but probably because I haven't had good BBQ in a while. The more you go you realize Midtown has a lot of hit or miss items and the drinks are fine. I attached a picture of a 4000 yen brisket dish; feel free to decide if it's worth it or not.

Very very tasty. We opted for ribs and grilled vegetables. And the beer was delicious. Lots of foreigners on the tables… I will visit again

Went them for the first time on wing Wednesdays. I tried the boneless wings with the house dry rub. It was one of the best tasting rubs i have had. I even bought a package to take back to Okinawa. For dinner, i ordered the ribs and pulled pork. Side of roasted vegetables and coleslaw. The portions were not small. I as much as i could. I didn't expect to feel like i was back home in the backyard plates. They also have a good selection of craft beers. I highly recommend this place for you BBQ fix!!!!

Showed up at opening and was seated immediately. Offered a cold moist towel to wipe away the Japanese summer humidity. BBQ Bason Cheeseburger lunch menu was great (crispy thick bacon, juicy burger, with crunchy fries). Just enough fries to satisfy without being heavy. Only comment was there was only a small container of ketchup to go with the fries. The place was full 40minutes after opening for lunch on a non-holiday Monday, with the waiter receiving more online reservations.

Good place. Good food, good people. Very, VERY American but that's basically what it says on the box. Not cheap but food wise, you get a full meal and a delicious one. Beers are domestic craft from Tall Boys brewing of Nagoya - American brewer. Decent range of styles.

This joint serves up some seriously awesome BBQ! My family, who hail from Texas, were thoroughly impressed with the food here. We arrived early and were seated quickly at a table for seven. About 15-30 minutes later the placed was full! The owner and waiters were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend this spot if you're craving some delicious BBQ. We ordered the big boy plate for two, while the rest of the gang opted for the dinosaur plate. My 11-year-old went for the double cheeseburger and absolutely loved it! Although we were tempted by the mouth-watering desserts on offer, we were so stuffed from the main course that we had to give them a miss.

Wonderful bbq just a couple blocks from Kanai Station. I got the Big Boy platter that is way more food than one person can eat alone. But it was perfect for left overs. The quality of the food itself is wonderful and the flavor is amazing. You also get good value for the money. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable.

All the dishes were super nice. Especially the wagyu brisket bbq and smoked spare ribs were so tender and melted in the mouth. The spicy sausage was so fresh and juicy too😋 The restaurant were clean and had fresh atmosphere and they provided good service too. Highly recommend.

Some of the best food I’ve had in all of Japan. Hands down the best BBQ, absolute magnificent. It’s better than most anything I can get locally back home in the U.S. The price is just a little steep, but it’s great food and worth the cost. No worries on being let down on anything you get from here.

Delicious authentic American BBQ! I was extremely impressed with the quality and flavors of the meats. It reminds me of the BBQ I used to get in Texas and Louisiana back home. I highly recommend coming here if you want good ribs, and pulled pork!

Fantastic experience just like in Nagoya. The big boy platter is a great arrangement of different bbq foods, all delicious in their own way. The ribs are my personal highlight, it's like in those videos of salt Bae where you can just pull out the bones without any effort. Service was also great, more personal and flexible than the robotic Tokyo service. Also best fries in all of Japan, finally some crisp and not that saggy potato you get elsewhere.

Close to the Kannai station near the Yokohama stadium. Once you walk downstairs there it is! I've always wants to try this place and finally made it for weekend brunch. Some customers were enjoying the football match and I felt was I was back in the states with everybody enjoying their time together at the bar. Everyone was a foreigner except for my group! We shared a big boy platter and fried chicken appetizer with the three of us. The meats were marinated in different sauces so you go to enjoy different flavors which was amazing. Need to come back for their desserts!!
