I stayed here with my American in-laws when they were visiting us from USA. They have some private baths, so people who are not used to this hot spring culture in Japan can feel comfortable. The room was nice and neat, and Mom and Dad were happy about their little treats and green tea set up for us in the room. We enjoyed yukata, the summer kimonos, too. The locations is walkable from the nearest station. There are some taxis awaiting as well, so it is very convenient. You can walk to Toba Aquarium and Mikimoto Pearl Island from the hotel.

Nice hotel and nice view! Buffet dinner is kind of value served. You should not expect more than how much you pay. I can say breakfast better while sitting in front of windows. A very fresh morning eating breakfast with the best view! Onsen is good! Swimming pool is small but you can enjoy sunset with nice view! Overall is good. Absolute above standard Holidays in Todaya!

I loved this place. It was so tranquil and peaceful. The location up on the hill overlooking the bay is wonderful. The service was really accommodating, we got a free shuttle from Toba station, and they were able to give us the directions to the onsen in English which was very much appreciated because my Japanese is only OK. They even called a taxi to pick us up when we were leaving, and we only went there for a day pass onsen, so they were just great. The flowers - and let me just say they had some huge floral arrangements there - were all real. Spectacular. The gift shop had all sorts of great stuff and good prices. The kimono and yukatas were gorgeous some of the prettiest ones I saw in all of Japan, sadly they were rental only. We went here for the day pass onsen, which was amazing because so many ryokans require you to stay at the hotel as a guest in order to use the onsen and don't offer a day pass, but thankfully Todaya does and we couldn't have been happier. We had it all to ourselves which is why I was able to snap a couple quick pictures before going in. The onsen itself was a bit of an adventure to get to, but it was well worth the trip. We had the privacy of the trees, but we could see down into Ise bay which was just gorgeous. It was a gorgeous rock pool and the running water and fountains were everything zen. The onsen was very clean and organized. The temperatures were perfect, and we loved being there. It's one of my absolute most favorite memories from Japan and I would totally go back to Todaya if I ever end up in Toba again.

Good hotel. Lot of hot spring spots. Breakfast and dinner provided and we got surprise lobster dishes for free. Recommended.

Stayed here for a night and I loved it! The hotel itself is dated but is in great condition and the amenities in the room were good. The room was very spacious and relaxing with great view of the harbour. The onsen were great, and they have 5 small private onsen that is on a first come first basis. The food was OK for the price, but for the breakfast the view was nice with the sunrise.
