This
is
my
favorite
home-roasted
coffee
shop.
It
has
a
strange
name,
``Laundry
Boat,''
but
there
used
to
be
a
building
called
this
on
Montmartre
Hill
in
Paris.
It
was
the
center
of
activity
for
artists,
literary
figures,
and
actors
of
the
time,
including
Picasso.
The
master
apparently
opened
the
shop
about
40
years
ago
with
the
desire
to
create
a
hangout
place
in
Yorii
like
the
one
that
used
to
exist
in
Paris.
When
you
step
into
the
store,
a
surreal
world
opens
up.
In
one
word,
it's
a
retro
space...
Old
folk
house
cafes
are
also
popular
these
days,
but
when
they
first
opened,
they
didn't
aim
to
create
an
old
folk
house
style,
and
it
looks
like
they've
aged
naturally
over
the
years.
The
counter
chairs
have
also
been
repaired.
There
are
more
than
a
dozen
old
clocks,
mainly
wall
clocks,
hanging
on
the
walls.
Among
them,
there
are
some
clocks
that
keep
accurate
time,
but
I
recently
noticed
that
the
clocks
are
different
depending
on
the
day.
The
master
is
a
very
warm-hearted
person,
and
if
you
go
alone,
talking
with
him
is
one
of
the
pleasures.
It's
a
small
restaurant
with
3
tables
that
seat
4
people
in
addition
to
the
counter
seats.
The
booklet
written
as
Daifukucho
is
the
menu
table.
Since
there
were
a
lot
of
photos,
I
only
took
a
few
photos.
There
are
also
snacks
like
spaghetti
and
sweets.
I
only
use
the
restaurant
after
finishing
lunch,
so
I
haven't
had
any
snacks.
Every
time,
I
enjoy
a
relaxing
time
while
enjoying
delicious
coffee.
Among
them,
my
favorite
is
Mandhelin
Sumatra
G1,
which
has
a
refreshing
bitter
taste.
The
BGM
that
plays
inside
the
store
is
a
famous
classical
piece.
It
flows
quietly
with
the
sound
suppressed.
Whether
you
visit
alone
or
with
a
group
of
friends,
it's
a
hidden
cafe
where
you'll
be
satisfied
every
time
with
its
calm
atmosphere
and
delicious
coffee.
It's
a
retro
shop,
and
smoking
is
still
allowed.
To
get
to
the
store,
you
have
to
walk
several
tens
of
meters
down
the
road
that
leads
to
the
temple,
so
you
may
not
even
notice
the
store's
existence
from
the
wide
street.
There
is
a
parking
lot
in
front
of
the
store,
although
it
is
not
large.
