Massage chair section - IMAI MAMORU Everyone is nice except IMAI MAMORU Terrible staff at BicCamera NishiShinjuku! This is not the first time he was rude. The first time he refused to let me try the Panasonic Massage Chair. It was on a different day. I let that go. Today, when I asked if I can try the other chair, he said “No, if you’re not going to buy you can’t try” “You came here before already. So many people want to try” There were no people!! Of course I will try the chair many times before I buy. There are so many options! And of course it’s not my first time in BicCamera! I have a lot of free time! Is that unusual for you? I have always loved shopping at this particular branch because all the staff I had interacted with before helped me a lot. I even recommended this branch to all my Expat friends, even though we are closer to the Akasaka Branch. All of my appliances came from this branch. And before I bought anything here, I always took my time. It was never a problem. In fact, the staff who helped me with everything were very happy to explain and accommodate me. For example, one of them even gave me free shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment sachets (Dyson airwrap section) even though I wasn’t planning on buying on that day. Before that, I had tried the airwrap many times. I bought it after a few months and after going there to try so many times. I bought all my appliances here and I always felt comfortable shopping. But Imai was refusing to let me try and was being rude. He even asked me weird questions, “Do you live here?” Do you have a business?” Like do you think I can’t afford that massage chair? LOL After I called him out for being rude he suddenly said, “I don’t understand English.” He said that after speaking English. Great try at escaping.

I didn't expect this mall to have so many things to buy, such as phone accessories, headphones, and gachapon machines. Besides, the location is pretty close to the public transportation station.

Bic Camera is one of Japan's longest-running electronics retailers when it comes to all manner of appliances, cameras, TVs, sound systems, etc. But they're also really great when it comes to video games, consoles, accessories, and games/anime-adjacent goods like plastic model kits, etc., like this ones pictured here. Their prices are pretty comparable to rival chains like Yodobashi Camera, so unless you have a points card with one or the other, there's no specific advantage to one over the other. I have been a pretty loyal customer of Yodobashi Camera for about 20 years, but whenever Bic Camera is more convenient for me location-wise (such as today when I didn't feel like walking an extra 10 minutes in the summer heat) it's totally fine. It's actually pretty refreshing to know there's another comprehensively stocked retailer like Bic Camera (and Sofmap for that matter) to fall back on when the need hits. This location has 4 or 5 floors of goods separated by categories, too, so chances are they have what you need.

The camera store here is really a place to go If you ask the staff, they are willing to open the cabnets and allow you to test the lens instore. The staff are really friendly but most cannot speak english. They have Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax etc instore and even the latest models. Accessories from tripods to color gels and backdrops are sold here and they even have a printing station inside. If you are planning on a purchase, bring your passport as tax refunds are possible (as of my time).

They sell everything. It's like a department store but focus more in electronic stuff and no shoes, cloth and bags, etc, but you can find pretty much everything else. Wife was there to purchase health related product and cosmetic. Foreigner with passport get tax free and 7% with electronic and 5% with drug and cosmetic. Oh, BE AWARE...not all electronics are cheaper then US...compare before you buy...I was looking for lent protector for my Sony Action Cam, I can get it from EBay for 22 and here, it's like 3010 yen...

Good place to shop for electronics and watches. It's a haven for photography enthusiasts and watch lovers. It also offers a variety of products like food and beauty products. This is where you can buy portable hair straighteners at a very good price.

Different floors to accommodate everyones needs either for electronics, health, beauty, toys for kids and many more niche items. Even for being in shinjuku, there wasnt as many people as i thought and its a good break from the busy shinjuku streets

This West Shinjuku store offers great amount of toys and video games, something not offered in the East shinjuku Bic Camera store. It is located in the Odakyu building. 5F is where the toys , cosmetic and Tax free counter are.

Huge variety of stuffs available with 6 floors. Staffs are easily approachable and some of them know English as well. Price is on the higher side. But good place to buy many things at once. They have separate membership discount and points as well.

Do all your first and/or the last minute souvenir shopping here. Here is why - pretty competitive price and lots of inventory. I've found stuff other stores don't carry at this very location. I’m sure timing had a lot to do with it, but the chances are that they stay on top because of such high traffic. They know how to cater to the international market. The staff are generally very helpful (I've never had any problems), you can usually find an English speaking staff in each and every building of this store location. Look for stuff here first, go some place else if you don't like the price. Come back later if this is a better deal.

Cutting the store to three stars for the general lack of helpfulness in several recent visits, but especially today. However, I feel like I am on the verge of reducing the entire in-store shopping experience down to two stars, because if they can't answer questions and be better than online in the service or shopping experience, then how can they justify the higher prices. I basically don't like shopping online, but I feel like I'm not being given other choices. Original review below, but I feel like I have to note that review is from an ancient time when I used to spend quite a bit of money at Bic Camera. Google Maps wants me to rate this, but I'm not even sure it's the right place. I think it's the converted Halc store, where I do most of my electronics shopping. I don't always buy at this location, but I'd say it's my primary source.

As usual, candy store for electronics lovers. Bought this flash for USD $224 after 8+7% off. Amazon was selling for $299 + tax. Camera assecessories are much cheaper here. However, Camera body and lens are similar in price to Amazon.

In front the West exit JR Station. About 2 minutes walk. One of big electronic appliances and discount store in Shinjuku. From 2nd floor to 6th floor. In the 5th floor have sections for toys and cosmetics. 2nd floor got space for food tasting, traveling and many others.

Located at 2nd floor of Odakyu Department Store. Big Camera here not just selling camera and electronic device, also selling souvenir, candies, wine, suitcase and there is official counter of merchandise of Olympic 2020 Tokyo.

In Japan offline shopping plays an important role in buying stuff . In that too there are a handful of sellers who hold the monopoly. One of them is Bic camera it has many branches . But the one in Shinjuku is quite big you would get almost all the electronic items. For the tourist it is a good bet as they can shop tax free by showing their passport.

A huge electronics store with different floors to go between while shopping. They have all kind of stuff, and the customer service is great. Also they offer tax-free discounts on place.

Big thank you to Mr Ishigami that helped me with the camera purchase! Despite my poor Japanese and the language barrier, he went above and beyond to understand me. I was able to shoot beautiful pictures of Japan with my new purchase!
