If you ask a real Chinese about the food there,I could only say go somewhere else .I been there few years ago and was really good. That’s one of the reason why we were there again and it was really disappointed.I odered a dumpling and the filling inside is even raw. They brought at the end these 2 pieces “ we recooked again” (Without any apologies). What about the rest 4 pieces my daughter has eaten? Even asked me to pay for it at the end!NO WAY!

the food is ok, the xiao long bao seems to be made from frozen instant packs. the highly raved yang zhou fried rice served was on the salty side. the server explained that the chef was a rookie hence they offered their apologises when i provided my honest feedback. the servers are friendly but the quality of food can be improved

Very disappointed. My boyfriend and I were there today and will not be coming any time soon. The food was just awful. Firstly, one of the things we initially ordered was not even available so we took the BBQ duck instead. I ordered poached chicken Sichuan style. The food was so incredibly bland, not even salted and no amount of soy sauce could drown out the disgusting bitter taste. My poached chicken tasted fishy and bitter and I was not able to take more than a couple of bites before giving up trying to taste anything in it. Moreover, we ordered these dishes knowing well that the portions are going to be small and we thought it was going to be something special but the portion sizes were just absolutely laughable. Overall, we were completely disappointed and dissatisfied. I had to eat something sweet afterwards to get rid of the bitterness left in my mouth. There are way better asian restaurants out there that won't charge you as much.

The Pak Chai and pork dumplings (with coriander) were tasty, the wantan was okay, the spinach dumpling was a little bland, the beef tripe tasted nice but was very hot and the chessnut cake was quite fatty. The service was good, attentive but slightly slow The dishes are quite expensive considering the small portion size. They even charge €1 for packaging. Regardless of these, overall, I think the place is still worth giving a try. I think it is best to try a variety of DimSums to have a good flavour plate.

At Dim Sum, I enjoyed a satisfying meal of delicious fried noodles with tender beef, crispy fried squid, pork and coriander dumplings and tasty fried vegetables. The chrysanthemum tea served was a delightful accompaniment and added a refreshing touch to the meal. I'm intrigued by the Hong Kong lunch box, available only in the afternoon, which gives me a reason to plan another visit soon. Overall, the varied menu and enjoyable dining experience make this a place I'd recommend for a tasty taste of Cantonese cuisine!

Absolutely not recommended. I was there the first time and the last. We decided to go for the hotpot and as we had a vegetarian in our group we ordered after being ignored for 10 min the vegetarian and the classical (non - vegetarian) menu for it. 20 min into waiting the waitress came and told us that they could not offer us both as they couldnt provide an according pot that has a separation as therer were non left. Looking around we were the only guests asking for this. We told the waitress that they should have told us beforehand while ordering to find a solution for this. 10 min later they magically found one. After another 20 min of waiting (50 min in sum already) the waitress started bringing all the food apart from the actual pot to cook it in. Then she came and asked the vegetarian in our group which broth she actually wants (tomate, mushroom etc.). It took then some additional minutes for the pot to actually arrive and in summary about 1 hour. The food and the broth was mediocre at best and nothing too special the meat was very scarse also. since the cooking and eating takes quite some time we had to stay even after the restaurant was actually closed an were asked too pay already (it was around 22:20 on a friday evening). As we were asked for an absurd sum of ca. 110€ (as the price for the menu was per person even though not listed as such) We also had to calculate for the waitress the single amount as we wanted to split the bill. We payed since we had already enough trouble through the evening but actually it felt like an absolute rip-off for what we got: a lot of discussion with the waitress, broth, too much vegetables and a minimum amount of very thin cutted meat that was not worth its money.

Authentic tasty Cantonese food in a traditional simple atmosphere. Polite and friendly service. Plastic chopsticks and lipstick on the not thoroughly washed jasmin tea cup were on the other hand a bit of a turn off.

Most of the dimsum are authentic, tea is ok too, and this restaurant offers huge selection of dimsum as compared to many authentic chinese restaurants in Germany, but the hot and sour soup is not what I expected

Stumbled to this small restaurant as we strolled in Bonn. Nice place to have lunch. The dim sum is good, all served appropriately. Definitely they’re understaffed 😅, but still the service is good.

Very cool restaurant. We had a hot-pot with 6 adult guys and it was definitely enough and very tasty. Service was great, we never had to wait for anything and pricing was fine as well. It is situated directly on the marketplace close to the old city hall, so also great. Can definitely recommend!

An authentic Cantonese dim sum lunch satisfied my crave for my home food. Wantons, roast duck and dim sum are all housemade. Every bite reminded me of my hometown - Hong Kong. The menu is extensive with lots of choices from dim sum delicacies to hot wok-fried dishes. Hot pot is also served on the third floor! I will definitely visit again for the steamed fish! A highly recommended Chinese restaurant in Bonn!

A tasteful journey to southern China. Porched chicken thighs with a ginger and leek dip and spinach roots with garlic were an unusual experience. They didn't correspond to my taste experiences and still aroused enthusiasm. The deep fried glutinous dumplings filled with red bean paste were to the point with a dominant bean note.

Nice food, but the taste of the ice tea was so light, it was like drinking water with a few drops of sugar. The waiter was super friendly. She asked us whether we wanted to sit by the window.

5/5 would recommend! The boss and staff are extremely nice and welcoming. I got some tea while I waited to be seated (my company was running late) and saw the staff and customer interact. The food came fast and all the veggies were fresh and the meat thinly sliced. All questions to the broth and the sauces were answered patiently. Really sorry about the amount of questions, it was my first time eating Hotpot! I absolutely fell in love with the food and the Ambiente. I paid around 40€ for my share of Hotpot, an add on meat and drinks. The restaurant is sadly not accessible to everyone since it is on the first floor and the toilets are one floor up.

Great selection of food, especially the starters. The service is good and friendly. Should be kept in mind that the restaurant is on the first floor and only accessible by stairs.

I ordered Hongkong lunch box 3, The duck meats was very delicious, soft and highly seasoned. Must try 👌🏼 the deliver time was a bit too long.

The food is simply amazing. It’s been very finely seasoned and cooked. Also, the owner is super kind and friendly. The deep fried bean curd is so crispy and flavorful, totally not too oily. The dim sum tastes fresh and balanced in ingredients. Everything is freshly prepare and served hot 😊

Good food. Their Dim sum is very similar to Indian momos.

Haven’t tried hotpot or other dishes, but the dim sum was disappointing. One of the dishes, #28, was served cold, not even lukewarm. #16 was three very thin pieces. In general, the portions were too small for their prices. Considering the name of this restaurant, I naturally expected more from the dim sum dishes…

Germany is flooded with boring standard europeanized pseudo asian style menues. Dim Sum is a positive exception. First time I find delicious chicken feet outside Asia and Americas. Excellent close to original chinese food. Don't miss this rare opportunity!

This is the best restaurant in bonn! They do so many dishes that are so delicious most restaurants in bonn have 1 -2 dishes that make the standout this place has so many. I highly recommend the sticky rice cooked in a lotus leaf stuffed with chocken and beef or the ribs with black bean sauce the list gos on. The main dishes are amazing also recently i ate pork belly with rice there and the pork was so delicate it was amazing. The only thing to keep in mind it can be a bit pricy i normally go there with my with and 7 year old daughter and can expect to pay stound 50 euro because the food is so good. Try it out you will love it to.

Pleseant young german waiter, just did not like he said he has no change(seems systematic) Funny, I always tipp.No reason for that....

For a restaurant that bears the name Dim Sum, the dimsum is nowhere near good, best only edible. Never in my life i have cheong fan served cold. Portions are miniscule, and the whole place filled with dusts. Our eating plate dirty as you can see dry green onion sticked on it. What’s worse, seems like the server plays favoritism when you are asian vs. white customers. We have to wait for good minutes and constantly trying to make eye contact to just get the menu, while other white customers were given the menu even before they sat. All in all, not worth it and they should be ashamed of bearing the name dim sum. It’s such a disgrace for the great HK dim sum.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. But it was my first time to pay for a dish that I didn't order. The waiter said she was sorry for us that the 'boss' refused to cancel the wrong order he made.

[Food] (5★) 楊洲炒飯: I have tasted tens of fried rices in both Guangzhou and Yangzhou, and I am sure that the Yangzhou style fried rice here is authentic and remarkable. (5★) 叉燒: I ordered the Hongkong BBQ pork neck several times here, and always felt satisfied. (4★) 蔬菜: The various vegetarian cuisines will not make you feel disappointed, especially for those who prefer light food. (4★) 點心: The dim sums here are OK, but you may need to visit here a few more times to know what you like and dislike. (2★) 川香回鍋肉: For a restaurant named Dim Sum, I did not expect much about it and it turns out to be really a bad one. It is too salty and not in Sichuan style. [Other] (0★) The cloth they used for wiping the table smelled terribly.

This restaurant features a variety of authentic dim sum (sort of Chinese tapas) specialties, all very tasty. Highly recommend - plus if you sit close to the window, you get a very nice view on the old City Hall building!
