The train station is incredibly spacious and offers a wide range of services, from dining options to additional amenities like travel information facilities. In 2023, this station efficiently handled the transit of over 100,000 people via train. One of the standout features of this train station, in my opinion, is its accessibility. Despite being located beneath a large building, each train line has direct access to the street, although it may be available only during working hours. I felt safe and well-informed thanks to the numerous large information panels that provided updates on train schedules and any changes. This train station is truly impressive in its design and functionality.

Nice train station. Been here a few times, mainly transferring to other cities. Plenty of shops, food, and places to grab a drink. Easy to get from one platform to another. Easy access to buses and taxi’s.

Dirty station with graffiti and homeless people. It doesn't feel comfortable at all.

Manheim central Station is a hub for surrounding cities like Heidelberg and Frankfurt. It's located in the city center and all trams, making it easy to visit. Transit is very easy and fast between trains

Clean station with many shops to grab a bite for the train ride. Toilets are also available. The bahn information counter is constantly crowded but the large board showing train timings is very useful. Had a train delay on my way to Frankfurt but it was updated on Google maps when I plotted for directions. Would be helpful if the station also made announcements in English to help tourists.

Huge train station. Many trains stops here. ICE, TGV and of course local trains and RB/RE. Outside you can take the tram or Bus. Burger King, MacDonald, bakery, Chinese food etc as well as gift shops, flowers and books.

Central Mannheim location with great connections and retail area. Friendly staff were unsolicitedly helpful when work colleague and I were trying to buy tickets at the machine.

Beautiful, clean and well kept train station situated close to bus and taxi stations. There's also a tram just in front of the station so it's easier to commute to other parts of the city.

After living here for almost an year I can say Mannheim is a beautiful city. Everything you need is available retail stores, shopping malls, touristic hotspots and so on. Beautiful and historical places like Heidelberg, Speyer are in a close distance.

There's a kebab shop just across the road, plenty of people around even late at night. But can't they have even one staff member for a lounge considering how long some of the late night changeovers are?

My old launch pad for several adventures. Easy to navigate.Way more shops than it had twenty odd years ago. Seems to always have a good crowd moving through.Made some sweet memories here.

My trains were delayed, because of the crowd I couldn't book the next ticket. Come at least one hour early to get seat reservations. Some employees were rude and unhelpful

Not extremely huge but there are chairs to sit inside the station complex and on the platform. Paid toilets available. There are various places to eat however if you have connection overnight, the stores will not be open. Yorma and Le Crobag are the ones that open early for snacks and coffee.

It's an absolute joke on the trains. I've stood up for the past handful of trains due to their being a lack of seating. Maybe stop selling as many seats glorious DB, plan your trains better. This is on an ICE train so the 9 euro ticket is not to blame. Shade

From here you can connect to anywhere in Europe. This station had more seats than I've seen at some other stations. At midnight it's a total ghost town though.

I’ve been commuting from Heidelberg to Mannheim for over 10 years. My local train is RARELY on time. If there’s ever a crisis (e.g., strike, disturbance on a line), it’s absolute chaos. Trains are often switched to other platforms and then switched back again last minute. The announcements can’t be heard during rush hour, and the overhead boards don’t match the changes. The personnel who I have encountered have not been helpful and have often been extremely rude. My biggest problem is the smoking. I’m highly allergic to cigarette smoke. Every day that I wait for my local train, I can count numerous smokers who don’t adhere to smoking in the smoking zone. I have never seen DB personnel enforce the non-smoking rule, and occasionally, the smokers are DB employees standing far from the smoking area! One day, a person was smoking next to a DB worker. I asked him why he doesn’t tell the person to go to the smoking area. He said it was no ´t in his job description. Clearly, the current approach is not working. Change to a completely non-smoking rule and enforce it!
