Ein Unfall führte mich in eine Wuppertaler Unfallklinik. Die Hüfte zeigte einen Riss am Kugelgelenk. Trotz meines Alters über 80 versuchte man diesen Bruch konservativ zu reparieren. Nach Kontrollmessungen und bei steigenden Schmerzen sollte diese Therapie 6 Wochen durchgezogen werden. Nach 4 1/2 Wochen und unsäglichen Schmerzen stellte ich mich bei meinem Orthopäden vor. In der Broschüre zur anstehenden OP wurde zudem noch einmal von der Operationsvorbereitung bis zur anschließenden Reha alles ausführlich erläutert. Die Operation selbst verlief wie geplant und ich konnte schon in der Klinik die ersten Gehversuche, bis hin zum Treppensteigen machen. Dr. Kreibich kam mehrfach zu Visite um das Operationsergebnis zu besprechen und Fragen zu beantworten. Es war deutlich zu spüren, dass hier ein sehr gut eingespieltes Team aus Ärzten, Schwestern, Pflegern, Physiotherapeuten und Sekretariatsmitarbeitern reibungslos zusammenarbeitet. Hervorzuheben ist insbesondere die freundliche und zuvorkommende Art aller Mitarbeiter im Umgang miteinander und mit den Patienten. Es war nicht wirklich angenehm und es wurde trotz Beschwerden auch nicht abgeschafft. Auf jeden Fall werde ich nächstes Jahr meine andere Hüfte auch dort machen lassen.
