Was here in the moth of Mar 2022 as part of my 20 days motorcycle trip of North East. And this was the best place we stayed in all of 20 days and perhaps the best homestay I have stayed ever. Located on Hill top gives a really awesome view city ! Very clear and well maintained place, they have in house kitchen and food here is really really good.... we pretty much had all our breakfast & dinner here. There is a cafe also near by if someone wants to pick up coffee ! Best part of this place is the warmth and hospitality. Owner & the care taker are very welcoming and have provided us with excellent service. The best thing that happened to us with this place was Owner's father (Mr.Kito). When we reached here we ended up meeting Mr Kito , we along with one more traveler (cross country cyclisyt) instantly hit it off and the warmth & welcoming feeling we had this place was all 100% Mr Kito ! He was kind enough to help us with all info and guide us with all local information on where to eat and what to see. I would for sure recommend this place to stay if ever in Kohima !

Anyone will fall in love with Nagaland the moment they enter Akim Homestay! The hospitality of the hosts will make you feel that you have stepped into the house of your own brother or sister. They will love you and take very good care of you to ensure that you are comfortable. The beauty of the gardens with a breathtaking view of the mountains will stay imprinted forever in your mind! Wonderful people everywhere. The most beautiful place on earth! What more does a man need? This is paradise!

the place is very neat and clean.we took two rooms both the rooms are very spacious and well maintained.The food is good. we enjoyed our stay at Akim.we will surely come again. thanks to Akim family for your hospitality .Thnks to Mercy also.

The homestay is on a beautiful location. Very friendly and nice hosts. The food options were very limited, only one option was offered. Also the dinner was very simple as they were understaffed. The room was spacious, clean and welcoming! There was powercut therefore no hot water available early morning. This was very challenging in the very cold weather (10 degrees). Overall good place to be. Please confirm food arrangements before booking.

It is located on top. Beautiful house. But service was lacking. Very few people to take care of the house. Food was basic. There was no water and power supply in the morning. We were freezing.

A perfect place with best combination of nature and hospitality. The owner is very supportive and also trh support staff is very helpful. Best place if looking for a vacation stay or even for staycation.

The name represents well about its .... You will get a very keen sense of homestay , like a home away from home, no doubt. Ma'am who owns it , is very jolly & informative. Only one regret needs to be addressed : the bonfire was promised but not delivered. Otherwise go ahead, rooms are really cozy & very neat n tidy, everything is well spacious , food is really good. You can cook yourself if you want to. The surrounding view is just marvellous. There are other sites(historical, landschap, trek...) you can visit , not far from here. & Loved the garden ✌️🥰

An excellent place that's not maintained whatsoever! There are four rooms with just one young girl looking after this homestay alone- she is cook, maid, housekeeping, waiter everything rolled into one. Sad to see the way she is misused to save on having more staff. Absolutely dirty rooms with cobwebs all over, bedsheets not well cleaned, toilet not maintained.

The best place to stay in kohima. The owner and the staff were extremely good.

Akim homestay has all the potential of being an ideal stay. Its calm & serene location, coupled with its spacious rooms and really nice premises are worth the money. But the service was pathetic. There was no one around to even get our basic queries answered. And when we somehow located a puzzled caretaker/staff/manager, they had little or no knowledge of what we were asking, which were only about the homestay timings, servings, policies etc. Their complementary breakfast was served beyond our requested timing and that too the tea arrived minutes after we ate bread omelette with cold water. Overall review - can find better homestays at such price range.

Loved the accommodation provided at Akim Homestay...Service was excellent..Staff were courteous...Food was delicious as well...In short, i had a wonderful experience and i would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting kohima...
