Hotel looks great. Room in which I stayed was really big and had all luxury features. Enjoyed the stay. Food was okay and as expected it was expensive. View from the room was beautiful. One thing is, reception wont tell you the facilities available. You will have to explore on your own. Overall it was a great stay.

Quality of food (taste and variety) has gone down drastically... Went for a buffet lunch with family to celebrate son's birthday after just 2 years (couldn't go last year due to covid scenario) and was really heartbroken with the menu spread. Dessert section is as good as before though.

The entire place was so good and neat, every employee was very supportive, each inch inside this hotel looks royal. Honestly if you will stay here, it will give you such a Royal experience. If you check price wise as well, compared to other 5 star hotels ar Kolkata, here price is quite reasonable. One weekend, if you want to chill with your partner and want to spend some quite time in the city, this will be the best place to hide..😀😀😀 In short, it was a mind blowing experience.

Everything about this Hotel is great, the Infrastructure is huge and spacious. We had Corporate Conference for a team of 1000 and the Stage and move around space was good enough. The Food though was Good to Above average and could have been better. However the rooms were spacious, large and service was good

It's like a magnificent palace. The building bears a sophisticated design signifying a grandeur like architecture. The interior is even more impressive with cleanliness maintained all around. I visited this place to attend the invitation of a wedding ceremony and I truly enjoyed the glory and decoration. The behaviour of the staff here deserves appreciation. Food is of average quality. The ambience is very very pretty. A good place to take pictures and have a good time. Staffs are helpful. They don't approach you themselves but when asked for they are very polite. Food quality should improve ten folds though, some items are nice. I liked the Chinese cuisine. But Indian cuisines are pretty average.

It's really a Great Hotel.. It has been named properly ROYAL BENGAL.. justified. I had been there several times.. Everytime different kind of awesome & amazing experiences I have gathered.. The food quality is best among the 5 start hotels across Eastern India.. All the staffs are very polite & humble.. Went for Pujo Lunch with family. Place, decor, spread was great.. no complaints over there.. But it felt like the staffs were robots.. no politeness, not talking to the guests, no initiative or manners to talk to a 2 Yr old who was playing around. Extremely delighted with the memories I snapped. Anyone can have a gala time with the amenities presented there, hospitality they offers, alluring ambience and last but not the least is the food. They actually serves innumerable items, most importantly those are really sumptuous. It would be great if they offer at least one complimentary drink and add a few more items to the starter.

Stayed there for few days, apart from the iconic majestic building and hi tech controls, didn't find anything spectacular.. Check in / out takes time. Food options are good . Warmth was missing may be due to Covid.

Luxury and expensive so overall experience was nice. But a few people from staff was rude and unprofessional in behaviour. Though this is a basic problem in India that the service providers don't value their customers yet it was not expected from such settings.

I just look for a reason to go to this place, I mean don't get me wrong but I rarely enjoyed the ITC Sonar Bangla but, ever since this hotel opened its doors, I am just unable to stop myself from visiting this brilliant and amazing hotel. This is now my first choice in terms of my hospitality and comfort needs. I would some time sneak out with excuse just spend a night or a weekend here in the utter comfort. The food! Oh my the food! Culinary artistry at its best!! Do try and visit this place just for the sheer experience once in your lifetime.

This hotel is really class by it self and the latest star on the horizon of Eastern India. Staff is very courteous and polite. service excellent. The restaurant Grand Market pavilions buffet is out of this world , you ave plenty to choose from variety of different states dishes had great time. Must visit for experience. the exclusive coffee shop Darjeeling is nice place to relax in cosy atmosphere over cup of tea, again i recommend to the guest warn to spends some quality time with friend and relationship to visit , this coffee shop.

A royal experience for sure. We opted for lunch buffet. The whole ambience is grand and staff is welcoming. The spread of buffet was very good. From local to continental to Eastern India taste. Lot of delicacies for vegetarians. Definitely a one time experience to indulge yourself.

Great place to visit. The rooms are spacious and give a luxurious feel. The food is awesome and the buffet is totally value for money. However, the only downgrade is its service. The staff is very well behaved but the service isn't as prompt and polished as it should be. I am not saying that the service is bad but it isn't perfect. It's quite slow and some staff members are inexperienced. The service is much better than what it was in 2021. I hope that it becomes flawless as the management and staff become more experienced.

The overall experience of this place is 5 stars. There were few issues like the waiter at the restaurant coming to introduce at the beginning that they will serve at the table but we had to search and call them to serve. Taste wise food is great and a lot of spreads were there. The place itself is kind and lavish.

The grand ambience... So nice, decorations That you will be spell bound... Food is nice, more than 200 varieties of food prepared in buffet. Behaviour of the staff's is polite. It cost 2065/- per person , inclusive taxes. A great experience

This is the marquee property in Calcutta today and an outsider can only wish to experience the hotel and hospitality. My experience has been forgettable to say the least because the quality of service the hotel provides is below average and doesn't justify the brand ITC or the property. I have written this feedback because this has been my experience for consecutive 2 stays at the hotel. A property can be ultra luxurious but it's the service you pay for in the end and when that's below average, i don't think I would be willing to experience the non sense again... Overall rating 3 is because of the property and the food, otherwise I would have rated them 1

Went during Durga Puja for dinner. The hotel ambience was great. We went to the Great market pavellion restaurant for a dinner buffet. There was a good amount of waiting time. After waiting for 15-20mins we entered the restaurant. Service staff led us to the table and that's the only interaction that happened. They didn't explain the offerings, closing time etc. We had to ask multiple times for water bottles and table cleaning. Service was very poor. I asked for the drinks menu but that didn't arrive. Suddenly they start closing the restaurant at 11:30pm without telling the guest to take whatever they want before closing. As we were not aware of the closing time our dinner was half complete. We requested to hold for some time so that we can take whatever we want but they didn't listen to us. We talked to the service staff multiple times but the response was very delayed and poor. They kept us waiting till midnight and we had to come back with a half filled stomach even if we paid the full amount. I had never expected this kind of service and guest handling from a Hotel chain of this status. I will not recommend this to any of my friends. It's a pathetic customer experience.

The hotel offers impressive Covid-19 protocols, quite happy with the room and the chicken mac and cheese they serve. However, was not happy with their buffet at the coffee shop, was expecting the food to be better.

Visited the coffee shop. The entire oozes Richness, Class and Luxury. Chennai has miles to go to reach there. People spend there and enjoy life.i have no words for the Hotel, just running short of words to describe.

I think they need to improve their service. For the first time I have gone there on Ostomi for stay. We used to stay ITC Sonar on every puja. Their service is much better than Royal. I don't have any idea that their management is different or not. But according to me I will choose ITC Sonar rather than Royal for stay

Had a dinner buffet tonight . Food quality is good enough but the service and refilling of the buffet items were too high , especially when you are in shortage of time . Being a 5 star restaurant,this should be way too fast

This is a very high end hotel, the service is very good and everyone is very helpful. The rooms are large with great beds. They have a big gym and nice pool, every amenity you would expect, they have. It's a bit of a distance in traffic from from central Kolkata but not too bad.

One of the best buffet I have ever had...the ambience is the very best with fabulous interiors...a real aesthetic feel ...the buffet was at the first floor...the food items had a huge variety with a lot of cuisines..the price was 2000 per head for the dinner buffet...and it was totally worth it

The rooms were clean,sanitized and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing and following all the corona protocols . They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kolkata (W.B.)

Excellent property but very poorly managed, this luxury hotel is full of mosquitoes especially in garden area, even after continuous fogging which is not for guests health also lots of mosquitoes were there. Even a stray dog was there in a luxury hotel garden where event was going on. In lift and room also mosquitoes were there. TV was not working properly, signal outage issue. Food service in garden was not good, we have to wait a lot for roti/bread and experienced poor food service all 3-4 days during our stay in hotel. Outside it was hot but appropriate arrangements not done for lunch/dinner.

Everything is Fine and Great Except they need to improve on Room service , as ordered items are given after 15-20 minutes after request has been raised or multiple reminder for small requirements.

Went for a very late dinner at Darjeeling Lounge ---their 24x7 eatery. Menu is mostly the same as what you get in room service -- all day breakfast options, salads, sandwich, pizza, pasta, comfort food, finger foods, desert etc---basically, a wide selection with a bit of everything. Loved their crumb fried prawn with mayo-kasundi dip. Also tried a grilled fish and their luchi-mangsho platter. As with generally all ITC outlets, food, ambience, hospitality were all of very high standard.

I went there on a Sunday for a lunch alongwith my family at their restaurant 'grand market pavilion'. I am very sorry to say that I was totally disappointed. We were not interested in continental foods because of its nature and confined to the Indian pavilion. However, I didn't find anything special there. Once again I disappointed in desert counter also. The size of 'sandes' was a matter of joke. The Kolkata special rosogolla was missing. The bill amount doesn't match with the food. Hereafter I will go to any restaurant for family lunch. Jai Hind.

Overall and amazing experiance. Rooms are really nice and cozy with state of art technology. They don't provide you with basic things like single use paste/ toothbrush, believe this is due to their initiative to reduce single use plastic, though they have soaps, shampoo etc in plastic tubes, so didn't quiet get it. The bad experience I had was with breakfast. I had an early flight so had to check out at 7.30-7.45. As breakfast starts at 7, I reached there at 7. It seemed that they were not ready, not enough staff. Due to pandemic they had these plastic coverings on all counter, so someone is required to serve you as you don't have direct access. Unfortunately, only 1 or 2 staff members were present, so there was no attention. It was not quiet clear how to approach counters and whom to approach. Those staff available were also not attentive and we're on phone. As I was running late, I ended up having food I had access to and rushed to checked. I just think that if breakfast starts at 7 staff should be available at that time Btw food in Darjeeling was awesome. Overall I would even give a 4±

I came here to have buffet lunch at ITC royal Bengal. And it was a lovely experience I had in here. It has so many delicacies to offer. I love the desserts it has to offer. Also the property has pool and it’s beautiful.

Attended a wedding reception at banquet 4. Must say that this is a luxurious hotel with swanky arrangements and very cordial and prompt service. All members of staff were extremely cordial and well informed also ready to comply with even the most absurdly request. Food was as expected but then I've never rated ITC cooking to be of very high standards. There other luxury hotels whose cooking and taste I like better. But overall it's all good and luxurious.

Went here for a corporate dinner at the Grand Pavillion hence can comment on the food & dining area. The hotel entrance & lobby are great, has "modern meets royal" aesthetic in white & black ornate work. Staff behaviour is excellently polite. Food - The variety is good. Main course was not anything special. Starters, specially fish kebabs were great. Has many North East dishes which is a great amenity. Desserts are what I loved the most. The baked blueberry yogurt is must try

Food was amazing, spread was enormous, never seen so many live counters in Breakfast. Tasted great with the legacy of ITC best chefs in the game. All in all strongly recommended property. The hotel was simply stunning, the location, the amenities, the decor, the service... We loved it. If there was something that didn't exceed our expectations, it was the buffet lunch. Some of the menu items could have been better in comparison. Our room was awesome and the hotel also gave us a free upgrade, so we were more than happy.

Gigantic icon of Kolkata.. beautifully done … issue is when you are inside you get a bit lost about the restaurants and lounge.. rooms are good but the views and the same balcony opening to suite rooms could have been better considering Marriott on the same lane has spectacular view of the horizon and the street.. Darjeeling lounge is good but eta of food is too long a wait.. the breakfast menu is a good spread but have been noticing a lot of spices and red chillies recently in all the Indian food and paratha..

ITC Royal Bengal is one of my favourite hotels to visit be it for a weekend or celebration getaway or buffets. The staff is very humble and welcoming and it’s always a delight to stay with them. The rooms are spacious and airy with comfortable and modern interiors. I specially enjoy the breakfast laid out at the The Grand Market which gives one plenty of options in food and drinks for one to kick start the day. The swimming pool is clean and spacious hence it’s always fun to pop by and enjoy a dip. Staff is extremely helpful and happy to assist all its guests which is a big plus. Looking forward to visit again soon.

The place oozes royalty. Large spaces, small water fountains, light music in the background and marvellous architecture. Lobby to the room and the rooms are warm, clean carpets, great view of wetlands. Overall you feel you are treated with a royal experience.

I feel basis on profile checking they should grant permission for visitors otherwise it does not make sense to book a hotel as other 5 star hotels allow visitors to visit which gives an extra edge.
