An ardent food lover like me can say a number of sentences about food and if its Jai Hind Food - I probably would be conversing, for every morsel, I can vouch for the quality I have got everytime I have visited them. Jai Hind is truly one on my favourites in the city. This Restaurant opens its doors for you till 3AM! And for Kolkata, where slumber is all you can possibly hear at 3, that's the buzz around Jai Hind for all Night Crawlers, looking for a place to pacify that hunger.

I went for lunch to this place looking for authentic Punjabi cuisine and I was not disappointed. But let me strictly advice you not to order anything from their chinese menu. The chinese menu is pretty mediocre at the place and will not please you if you have high expectations. Rather go for their punjabi menu. We ordered Chicken Tandoori and chicken lahsooni kebabs as starters. The chicken was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. Loved it. Then we tried changing our directions by ordering soup which was a bad idea. It didn't meet our expectations. Though it wasn't not that bad but not worthy enough for a compliment. For main course, we ordered Dal Makhni, masala kulcha, garlic naan, chicken tikka butter masala, basmati rice and chicken bharta. Out of all these, the Dal Makhni stood out completely and was right on spot with a perfect 10. The taste was authentic, went perfectly with the garlic naan and I would gave given 5 stars if I was rating them only for their Dal Makhni. The chicken bharta would follow next in the ranking order in the main course. The taste and proportion were good and I wouldn't complain about anything in that. The garlic naan was indeed a good choice of bread for the food ordered but the masala kulcha and the chicken tikka butter masala kind of failed to impress. The masala kulcha was bland with too much of potatoes in it. It felt like it was trying to aim for both an Aloo paratha as well as a kulcha but failed both sides. The Chicken tikka butter masala was okaish. Nothing significant to compliment in that. The service is good. Ambience is decent. Overall, if you are looking for authentic north indian cuisine, strictly order north indian cuisine and you won't be disappointed.

I’m pretty happy with their good food available at all hours of the day, their quick service and the consistency with which the establishment has run over the years. Love the Indian food - aloo dopiaza is one of my favourites. Their chicken Bharta is a staple which most people order. I like it too. Their rolls which they term ‘fat-free’ are quite a popular item too. Delicious and wholesome, theee is the option of either chicken tikka or chicken Reshmi kebab wrapped in a roomali roti. It’s a favourite after-party go to for most since it remains open into the wee hours.

Jai Hind Dhaba is a hidden gem! The food here is absolutely amazing. From their flavorful curries to the mouthwatering tandoori dishes, every bite is a delight for the taste buds. The service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I can't recommend this place enough if you're a fan of delicious Indian cuisine.

Great North Indian restaurant with delicious sides. We had chicken tikka butter masala, chicken bharta, and with Butter Naan. Every single side was delicious, but the Chicken Tikka Butter Masala had us licking our fingers! Ambiance was ready to go. Overall, a great place to eat if you're craving Mughal-style side dishes and breads. The service is extremely fast. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

Food in the midnight! -Oh yes! Ofcourse! Went there around 12:30 am in the night and surprised to see the jam-packed atmosphere. It was really nice see people dining there that late with us. This dhaba is good not great! Good for its atmosphere, late night servings, fresh food, reasonable dhaba price! Although, Food tasted quite average, butter chicken was okay and the mutton masala we ordered didn't have a great taste. The second negative I found from there was no proper availability of restrooms in the ground floor. There was one restroom but that lacks hygiene. Keeping aside all those, if you want to have a late night dinner with friends and families, this place might suit you! Happy dining! 🌞

Recently tried out Chicken Bharta and Butter Rumali Roti on a late lunch . The chicken bharta was damn good and fulfilling . The prices are comparable to the other eating places in the locality , but won't call this place cheap in any way .

In the mood for something good and light, both on your stomach and money? Hit your nearest Jai Hind Dhaba to taste their delicacies... both in terms of veg and non-veg. One of the notable items served is the paneer korma, which seems to be unique to this place. Also, don't forget to try their kebabs.

Salt was less in all dishes. Egg tadka didn't taste as good as a dhaba should have. Price is affordable. The Only good thing is it stays open till late in the night and the view of the road from the table , that steals the heart. Overall rating 2.5/5

Too much crowdy place. You have to wait long for table. Food quality is average. Best for non veg North Indian dishes like tandoori, Nan, Paratha. I ordered a plate of chiken butter masala and paratha, Paratha is okay but Chiken was worst and i ignore the dish and ordered again for a Kashmiri Aloo Dum. Again i disappoint, Taste like normal Alu sabji type. 🤢 Only one one thing, price is average and best family for family dinner. 😀

Tandoori Chicken is a must try 🤤, I tried Channa masala too it's a great option for vegetarian seekers. The Aloo paratha and masala kulcha is basic but OMG the LASSSI is heavenly. Must try guys.

Great North Indian restaurant with amazing sides. We had chicken tikka butter masala, Chicken Bharta and Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala along with tandoori and rumali rotis. Loved each and every one of the sides, especially the Reshmi Butter Masala had us licking fingers! Ambience was good to go.. All in all a great place for dining in if you are craving for Mughal style side dishes and breads.

Review: The dhaba is on the road side and easy to find, place was clean and quite comfortable seating arrangements, quite crowded during the lunch hour, the food tastes very basic , not so spicy and to be honest quite dull but the lassi is a must try. Order : Lassi (sweet) Paneer butter masala Veg pulao Masala butter kulcha kadhai paneer Pocket pinch : 905 for 2

Palak paneer and cheese garlic naan are a must try. Tandoori items are okayish. The washrooms are not clean.

this restaurant was not up to my expectations. While the prices were reasonable, the taste and quality of the food did not meet my satisfaction. Specifically, the chicken barta and fish tanduri were disappointing, even though i have previously enjoyed the barta dish. However, the other items like the tandoori roti, chicken reshmi butter masala, and soda Sikhanji were okay okay.

After hearing about it so much from so many, finally decided to visit. Finally the turn came after half an hour, We ordered one day makhni and masala onion and paneer tikka at first. The food especially the day makhni was so horrible according to all four of us that we decided never to order and visit again. We couldn't even finish the food. It was so bad. Uploading the pic of the unfinished food in the plate.😑

A very nice restaurant albeit a little lacking in management of tables. But the food and service is awesome which makes it worthwhile the effort of bearing with the waiting. The dishes are very good along with the prices which are also affordable compared to some of the places such as one on the bypass. The menu is somewhat diverse but does only cover the Indian and the Chinese cuisine. This also makes it better in a way as most of the patrons of the area prefer the dishes offered. It is a good place to spend an evening having dinner with your friends and family.

No doubt on the amazing quality of food, I feel bad for taking away two stars but can’t help, I did hear their staff talking vulgarly about a female customer of theirs just behind her back. Not acceptable at all

The best thing about this place is that it is open 24×7, and therefore u can always keep this place as the best in Kolkata for dinners after late night parties! It is best known for Indian Food specially Butter Chicken and Chicken Bharta. ❤️

Nice food. Usually crowded in the weekends. Have a nice 1st floor dining area if the ground floor is full. Ordered Mixed Fried rice and Chicken manchurian which was Great. Paneer tikka roll was also good. Service is really fast. All together great dining experience!

  • 2/5 Tanuka S. 2 years ago on Google
Jai hind dhaba is pretty famous for its north Indian food, and eventually I had to try it. Ordered Rashmi kebab, butter chicken and butter nun but every thing was stale and the taste was bad. Chicken was extremely dry and didn't taste like butter chicken itself. The nun was the worst there. It became hard and chewing was the task. So we had to waste food. Only thing good was the lime soda.

  • 3/5 Arijit c. 2 years ago on Google
It tastes good but the money is much more than that. food serve design is good but as compare to other location get better food in the lowest price compare to here. 1 chicken roll rs-150/ not so desirable .

  • 3/5 Saarthak A. 2 years ago on Google
I used to absolutely love this place for it's authentic North Indian food. The breads were their specialty but other items were very appetizing too. However ever since the Covid, there has been a massive drop in quality of the food. Nothing tastes as good as it used to. Sanitization has never been their strong point either. The only good thing is their prices are still more or less the same.

  • 4/5 dev M. 1 year ago on Google
The best neighbourhood dhaba, good food, good taste but not hygienic I guess dhabas were not meant to be hygienic. Egg tarka was good and even the Kulfi was very tasty. It remains crowded and busy most of the time considering the location of the dhaba. Also it has a historic significance in its name and the Netaji pictures hanging inside. Overall a good dhaba with good food if you are not looking for good hygiene. Recommended.

  • 4/5 Anish R. 1 year ago on Google
Nice late night dining experience. The 1st floor has a more cosy ambiance as compared to the other 2 floors. Indian cuisine is highly recommended. We had Tandoori roti, Kadhai Chicken, Saag Chicken, Onion salad and Boondi raita. Both the chicken dishes and the Boondi raita were really good. The rotis were really crisp. Service was also decent. You can actually grab food here from 11am - 5am!

  • 4/5 Roshan Lohani _ C. 1 year ago on Google
The vibes and ambience of this place were okay. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Coming to the food, we ordered Nan, Paneer, baby corn Manchurian, fried rice and tandoori roti, which they served quite fast. The taste was also nice, and not that spicy. Quantity was enough but the price was a bit on the higher side. Also, we had to order the onion salad @Rs. 30 extra as it wasn't complementary. Overall, I will suggest you to have a visit for the taste and variety. 🙌🏻

  • 5/5 Saba S. 11 months ago on Google
Good for late night visits. It's open up to 4am. The food is just okay here.. good enough to fill your stomach. Their Chicken butter masala is really not good. But as I said it's good for a budget friendly meal with friends and if you can't find any other place open.

Ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani, Butter Rumali Roti, Butter Tandoori Roti. Rumali Roti was cold everytime they served, Paneer Butter Masala was bit pricey but taste was good, Dal Makhani tasted exactly like Dal Tadka. Butter Tandoori Roti was warm. Avoid Dal Makhani but Paneer Butter Masala was good.

The chicken is cooked perfectly well (usually it is overcooked in many restaurants which leaves it tasting dry and the texture is thready). The butter chicken wasn't according to the original recipe. The Dal, Kheema, Rolls, Tomato Egg Drop soup, Fish Manchurian and Garlic Naan are all to-die-for. Definitely worth a visit.

Well Jai Hind was one of my favourite Dhaba, now they have detioriated in terms of Quality. 1. Chicken Tandoori was very hard (overcooked) 2. Chicken Butter Masala and Dal Tarka had raw Spices as if it was just not cooked properly. 3. Charging additional Money over the printed MRP

It is located near Paddapukur stop.... The restaurant is quite famous for it's good food.... We had a chicken curry, with tandoori rotis and chicken reshmi kebab..... The kebabs were excellent, though the tandoori roti could have been softer and the curry was ok..... But according to the price, the quality is good.....

Great place have only been there twice but I can asure you that no matter how many times you enter into the premises of this place you will feel like you have visited the place for the first time . It has a total of 3 floors and they serve you truly authentic punjabi cuisines. You will keep locking your fingers once you tasted the food they serve and that too with the utterly sweet smiles on their faces. Do go and dine here I promise you won't regret it and in addition to quality food, it is really pocket friendly too, ain't that lovely to hear.
