Pathetic service and even worse quality of goods. Totally jacked up price. They had charged me three times the market price and most of the fish died within two days. Such was the quality of the breed and the free food that they provided along with the package

I am giving one star because a rating of 0 star is not possible. First of all let me tell you that this particular shop is not at all like in the pictures shown. It’s a rather tiny dungeon. To make matters worse the owner has absolutely no knowledge on keeping fish and treats them as mere commodity. Do not even ask for suggestions from the person who manages the store, he will totally mislead you. He was suggesting a customer not to put any filter in his two feet fish tank. I was totally surprised by his ignorance and tried to debunk his theory on which he got upset and slashed at me. Also the the pathetic condition in which he keeps his fishes is very sad to see as a fish lover. Not to mention the over the top pricing. I bet you will get any item cheaper and of far superior quality in any other store in south Kolkata. I promised myself never to buy anything from this one store.

Very small shop. I went there after seeing photos posted on google. Don't let them deceive you. They are not of the original shop.

Worthless place (For both pro fish enthousiasts and someone trying to get into fishkweping). The staff are not helpful. Further more they don't know anything about fishkeeping. I went there to get a Betta which they didn't have. The person told me I should not buy Betta (Beta Fighter as he called it), as they are not hardy enough which is completely false. Then he told me he could get me one but I have to pay up first (w/o seeing the fish). Furthermore, as a new enthusiast, I was asking a lot of questions about filters, fish tanks, conditioners and cycling. The person had no knowledge about the hobby and was answering all questions irritatedly. Probably guessed that I wasn't going to buy from them. Well I won't. And so shouldn't you. 0/10

This place does not at all look like the ones shown in the pictures...The shop is too small...although they have a decent variety of freshwater fishes and the quality of fishes that they had was also ggod....This is definitely not a one stop shop if you want to go for nature inspired aquariums.... If you just want to create a simple freshwater aqurium, they you can visit this place....Also this address is the actual shop....The other address with the name "Ocean waves aquarium" is just their warehouse...do not visit there.

Very nice shop. The owner of the shop is very friendly. If u want to start an aquascaping hobby…..then this is the place where you have to come for. All kinds of products are available here. Actually they have 2 store, both r in Picnic Garden. The shop is in Topsia near 42 bus stand…and the 2nd one is their gallery at Kalika place near Jugal stores, where beautiful planted tanks, terrariums, and marine tank setups are there. I can say this is the best aquarium shop I have ever seen in Kolkata.

A bit expensive in terms of fish and other fish related products. Hardly you can do any bargain with that old man. But as it's the only decent Aquarium shop in the Picnic Garden area, so what else can you do. Their weekly and monthly fish collection is very good, so unless you don't want to travel far then definitely you can visit this place. But now-a-days people don't care about money much when they are keeping aquariums in their place. That's why giving this store a 4 star.

I was trying to search for a 10 feet by 8 feet aquarium in Kolkata for my office. I had few quotations from other businesses. But it was high and not worthy. But then, someone suggested ocean waves. The name sounded good, but the owner, Mr.Souvik is a really nice n knowledgeable person. He helped me build my beautiful aquarium in budget. Huge respect. Highly recommended
