We stayed at Tusk Bush Lodge for 4 nights. We loved our bungalow which is atmospherically decorated and has got a nice large kingsize bed. The main area could be more atmospherical though. Not to much is organized so we went outside for diner at a few placed located on Marloth Park. Breakfast is a bit the same every day but ok. The location is very good to visit the south of Kruger, it’s only a 15 minute drive to Crocodile Bridge Gate.

Tusk Bush lodge is a perfect base for your Kruger Park safaris - secluded, quiet and spacious yet very close to the Crocodile Gate of Kruger. The lodge is located in Marloth Park with NO fences which meant that we literally had zebra, kudu, bush monkeys and more right in front of us throughout the day. Very special experience! Rooms are spacious with air con, ceiling fan and small fridge - everything you need before and after safari. The small pool was a huge bonus when returning from safari too! Special mention to Gift for her delicious home-cooked meals (and packed lunches for safari) and Douglas for his warm welcome and good banter. Tip #1: take a shuttle direct to Tusk Bush Lodge from Johannesburg Airport with JSL Transport. Tip #2: take a full-day safari with Chasin Africa and/or Kruger Pride - we did both and highly recommended in both instances.

Couldn‘t imagine a better place to stay! Cozy atmosphere and everything was very clean. The food was delicious. We delighted in the visit of several animals, e.g. zebras and impalas, right in the hotel area. The most noteworthy thing is the excellent service. We were warmly welcomed and every of our wishes was fulfilled, even without mentioning. Doug helped us booking tours through Krüger and gave us great recommendations. Thank you so much for this fantastic experience!

Review When my better half and our friends, occupied the Tusk, we felt like royalty from the treatment we received from day one. Gift our cheff, your food was delicious. We had the honor of meeting the man behind the concept, we felt the tranquility and I like how you kept the place to its origin. Dauglas, the main man, what can I say about you man, the ladies can't stop talking about you. All I can say is that, this was not the last time, the rest is nothing but good memories to treasure in our minds and souls. THABISO

I recently stayed at Tusk Bush Lodge for my South African adventure. I chose the Tusk Lodge for its beautiful, secluded location within Marloth Park, and its close proximity to the Kruger National Park. What I found fascinating was Tusk's ability to give a true African bush experience, whilst still providing first-class amenities and service. Where else in the world can you relax by the pool while zebras, kudus, and warthogs come strolling through! (Not to mention the other array of animals that call the area home). Tusk provided good value pricing for our private bungalow, while maintaining extremely high levels of hospitality. The staff were kind and thoughtful, providing us with personalised attention and able to organise our Kruger Park safari and airport transfers. Douglas the manager was accommodating and knowledgeable, using his experience as a guide to teach us many facts about the African bush and its animals. The 3 course dinners were also great, with a variation in tastes and flavours each night. Overall we had an amazing trip, made possible by the the team at Tusk Bush Lodge. Thanks guys we'll be back next year!

Our stay at Tusk Bush Lodge was everything we hoped it would be. We enjoyed the winter bushveld setting with daily visits to our door by the warthogs and various buck. Our hosts Douglas and Wayne ensured that our stay was most comfortable. The accommodation is very comfortable with the table set for two our favorite aspect of the bungalow. Highly recommended!

Excellent staff! Gift & Douglas make a great team. Enjoyed the food, enjoyed the company (hanging out with other guests) & just a great experience altogether. Loved every moment and would recommend it to anyone who needs a peaceful yet eventful getaway.

You don’t have to be a genius to save just book directly with the lodge from there website. Had everything the lodge offers a quite self catering braai bush experience with wildlife that comes and go as they please. Easy to recommend and will definitely return. Thx Wayne for making it special
