Stunningly beautiful. Lounge by the pool and watch the game in the Kruger National Park amble down for a drink on the banks of the Crocodile River. 🐘 🦌🐊 Take a game drive or self drive in the Kruger Park. Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp Gate is just 10 mins drive. We stayed at Hippo Hills situated on the river bank, and it did not disappoint. We had an amazing 4 day break in this little piece of paradise ✨️ πŸ’™ ❀️ β™₯️ πŸ’• πŸ’– ✨️

Great location with shared views of the Kruger along the Crocodile River. Entry and check-in were great. Once unpacked, we headed off to the riverside hide and were greeted by a friendly elephant and amazing sunset. Got to view the resident bats come to life at sunset. Great facilities. The spa was fully booked, so we didn't get treated this time. The on-site shop has your basic necessities at reasonable prices and some alcohol too. Units didn't have modern finishes. Wifi connectivity was good. Generators were working well during loadshedding over the weekend, but they did make us suffer during the week. Housekeeping could do a better job. Also very strict on inventory but do not have a check sheet or conduct inspection upon arrival.

Beautiful place to stay for a few days. Pools are clean, the putt putt is challenging, fantastic staff. The views of the river are great and you get to see some wildlife! We spotted lions, elephants, hippos, rhino, giraffe and fish eagles from our deck. Highly recommended.

This visit has left us with varied experiences. The facilities are really neat and in a very condition. We had a beautiful view of the river and saw quite a few animals. The cleaning lady was friendly and efficient. The staff at the gate and Reception were very friendly and made a great impression. The disappointments came with the restaurant. The facilities were clean and staff were friendly BUT the waiting times with every order was extremely long and the food was definitely not up to standard. The worst was the Italian evening when we waited 35 minutes for the starter (reheated garlic rolls) and eventually when we got to the main course, we were told after 15 minutes that they ran out of spaghetti. We ordered Macarroni with the bolognese. The three helpings of bolognese all varied, ranging from very saucy to dry. The next day we ordered cake, just to see that the cake was covered by water dripping from the top of the cake fridge. Pity.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ngwenya. I definitely would recommend to families who have kids & couples who want some peace & quiet at the same time. The viewing deck at the restaurant looking over the crocodile river is truly a gem! Make sure to try their cocktails & pizzas, too.

On holiday for 7 days. Chalet had views over Crocodile river. Witnessed Hippos, Elephant, Water Buck, Warthog and Lions and Many Bird species and were visited by Nile Moniter. Entrance to KNP is only 9km from Ngwenya which is convenient.

If I could give more a ten star rating I would. Property well kept and maintained, secure and safety excellent. Views are breathless, maintenance and cleaning excellent really a place where you feel on holiday welcomed and a place for resting and enjoying. Lot to do and kids can have fun with parents having peace of mind. All the staff are so friendly my favorite staff member is the security Thabo what a sweet heart, greets one with so much welcome, makes us smile in and out the main gate, he is full of happiness and energy makes one start of your day smiling he loves his job and loves people he is the best. My new best holiday destination, I will be back every year from now on

Oh wow, what a superb resort is Ngwenya Lodge. If you are a nature lover, then this is, no doubt, the place to visit. We purchased our first time share week almost 20 years ago. We now own 4 weeks a year. I will never get tired of this resort. From the birds to the wild game over the river, to the activities to the beautiful gardens, it is simply the best.

On arrival, Monday afternoon 25/7 the entrance gate staff welcomed us 4, so well. Huge smile from Alfa which was great after a long, tiring trip from eMalahleni (Witbank) - Roadworks hectic but that to will pass!!! Sibubiso at reception friendly & helpful. Chalet #230 very spacious & comfortable, new carports. Friendly & thorough cleaner, Girlie. Our meal at La Fera on Tuesday night was super yummy, good value for money. Gardens immaculate, scenery from our patio breathtaking!!! Wonderful day in KNP, **we saw 2 Honey-Badgers in broad daylight** that was a 1st. We also saw 3 ENDANGERED Ground-Hornbills etc etc. On our departure this morning (Friday 29/7) Daniel at the gate was superb, can't wait for our next visit with our friends.

Always great being here! Staff is friendly and helpful, facilities are beautiful. To be next to the Crocodile River and finish your day off with the sun setting over the Kruger is just incredible.

We love our annual visits to Ngwenya. We go when it’s really hot so the air conditioned units are bliss. We spend our days swimming in the many pools, and lounging in the units resting. It’s a real relaxing holiday. Early mornings we wake up and enjoy a coffee on our balcony that overlooks the Crocodile River and see what we can spot. The late afternoons after similar except we have a cold cold beverage πŸ₯‚ our children enjoy the many activities Ngwenya staff organise each day during Christmas time.

Views are the best, staff are friendly and always willing to go the extra mile, lots of activites especially for kids, 3 nice pools, restuarant and bar, lots of viewing decks that overloom the kruger, all rooms had air conditioning and our unit was connected to back up power which was a huge plus. Rooms are relativly cleana and well maintained with clean linen and lots of utilities. Cell signal is down most of the time and no wifi in the lodge. Still one of the best lodges in the area

Fantastic Place with a great setting looking over the Crocodile river of the great Kruger National Park. There are plenty of wonderful hides use, walkways, swimming pools and a super restaurant/bar whereby one can about always see enough wildlife in and at the edge of the river. We had electrical problems wich was solved within good time served with a free breakfast for the inconvenience, so exceptional service ;) * Enjoyed every moment with the family, especially having a wonderful braai along the setting of a dam in the heart of this Lodge having even some friendly visitors such as the water monitor lizards roaming around lol Will definitely love to go again ..

What a beautiful lodge, very friendly staff as soon as you enter the gate. I’ve proposed to my girlfriend on one of the deck hides overviewing the crocodile river. There is so much to do at this lodge and it’s extremely kid friendly too. What a beautiful place.

An awesome establishment. Extremely well managed and super friendly staff. The security guards at the gate are a real tonic and never fail to raise a smile with their personality and wit. Accommodation is spotless.
