The place still justifies the reputation it holds from 1990s. To have a decent vegetarian food, this place would always be my choice in Mayiladuthurai. However, one should note that, on most days, the place closes at 9.30 PM based on the crowd that comes for dinner.

Tasty tiffin items, reasonably priced. I had onion rava dosa. Wow..what a big dosa and tasty. Chutney and sambar added to the treat. Decoction coffee was like the one made at our home. Decent veg eatout at the busy area. Very near to Old Bus Stand and New Bus Stand. Another one is Saravana Bhavan. But I would rate Kaliakudi first.

Servers are the worst possible. Hate to take orders and serve tables. Also treats the customers like unwanted visitors begging for food. This hotel was known for its quality long back. Now it's not. Rats are happily roaming to entertain the guests. Horrible experience. Will never visit again and don't recommend it. The only gold thing is chef making food faster.

For the people who are coming out of Mayiladuthurai during pandemic pls avoid this place.This is one of the oldest hotel from my grand fathers time .We used to eat at the same hotel whenever we come to Mayiladuthurai but this time we had an horible experience.The food is delicious but the services are very poor and the person taking order is very arrogent.

Ordered Onion Podi Dosa priced @ 120/-. Drinking Water provided was OK. On normal days depending on crowd they close at 9.30 P.M and not till 11.00 P.M as displayed in google. On 7th October 2022 I went to this hotel and had a chappathi for lunch. After that only I suffered trouble like vomiting and headaches due to the worst quality of such food. Totally waste of my money. One of the oldest restaurants in Mayavaram. Exists from 1950s and possibly from the 40s itself. They have changed the facade, added AC etc. But they still serve you on a banana leaf even for tiffin items. Service is a little old school, but you will get what you want. Food is tasty and their rava dosa is awesome.

Very nice vegetarian place in Mayuram. This place has a great legacy and is almost 70 years old. Though the management has changed hands, the quality is maintained. Excellent tiffin and the specialty is Godhumai (wheat) halwa.

Really bad nowdays. They are losing their name... Instead we have to pay extra 10 rupees for non quality cotton bag for parcel.
