😠 very un organized do not recommend, loads of bullies. my child was poisoned by the cafeteria. Some of the teachers are very rude to students. Compared to other international schools this is horrible. People often mention school, international, children, community, learning, years, teachers, students,

An outstanding learning environment that nurtures curiosity and helps build the character of children. Our son and daughter return happy and full of energetic stories every day! ISD plays at another level on many fronts: from the exceptionally motivated & capable teachers to quallity class rooms & facilities at the edge of technology to a vibrant, truely international community of students, teachers, staff and parents to highest standards of motivating learning. The school emphasises a holistic learning approach over a drill & test routine and still reaches world-class results in global IB rankings. We are extremely happy for our children to attend such truely outstanding place!

Very nice atmosphere at this school! Treating each other with respect is very exemplary and desirable in urban schools. The festivals are always very well organized.

World class education, developing the whole child from elementary to upper school. IB curriculum that supports students life skills of inquiry based learning. Motivated, happy staff in a well resourced school.

I resided in Germany in 1988 . I had friends who went to the International School of Düsseldorf. In my perspective, they loved the experience, very hospitality, love the German language, made new friends and memories to remember and pass the stories to the Next Generation. I had visited the ISD and I love the warm atmospheric of the community and love the food!!!

This school is great. The teachers are extremely supportive and really well educated. Coming from a kid who sits in the middle of most groups, bad reviews are quite contradictory to the experience I have had for the past 8 years. There are constant improvements in both the school system as well as the teaching methods. If theres one school in Düsseldorf you should attend- it's this one.

This is my second year at ISD and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of this exceptional community of learners. A special place where you can be yourself. It is a rich and rewarding experience to collaborate with global citizens who share their wealth of knowledge. Proud to be an ISD Lion!

The most amazing, innovative international school in Duesseldorf. With open-minded, caring, knowledgeable teachers and supportive parents-ISD puts students first! A truly internationally minded school where children from all over the world learn together, whatever their needs may be! Families working abroad for short or long term will feel at home when joining the ISD community. Children will not only thrive during the school day but also have opportunities to follow their passions and interests after school. ISD offers extensive after school programs which include: Drama, Arts, Music, Math Clubs, Language (Mother-tongue Programmes) Robotics ...and a variety of team sports. Students have opportunities for friendly competition against local clubs and other international schools. ISD is a special and unique school!!! Go Lions

Nice school and i loved it and believed that the learning system was awesome until i came to MIS (Munich international school) where i noticed that i learned more there in 1 week than i ever did in one year. The school and the students are great but you can find places where you learn way more even though you are still in the IB Format. If you parents want to find a fantastic school, go to Munich and let your children attend MIS they would learn more and they would have the equal if not more fun!

The most educational school ever studied before. Students learn by them selves (self-learning). All children from all over the world is suitable to be educated here.

The best international school! In different countries we had the opportunity to be part of 3 International school. ISD brings the high standard in terms of professional environment, great teachers and on top of it a very friendly environment. Both of our kids are enjoy to be in school every day.

The best international school in the region. The one place where children go beyond where they think they can go. The 'breeding ground' for well educated world citizens being taught utmost respect, leadership and social skills.

I want to say thanks again to Mr. Layman, he is really the best teacher I have met. My son and I had a very difficult period in Germany, Mr. Layman encouraged my son and took care of his teenage strangeness. After 5 years in ISD, my son got the offer from Edinburgh University this summer of 2023, and now he enjoyed the new life and I am for sure he has the bright future in front of him. If look back these 5 years( three years with Covid), It always makes me teary. Not easy but finally we made it. Thanks ISD

I visited the school and I was amazed by their facilities and how they teach children. I noticed that the school it is designed for teamwork and creativity. I was surprised to see the 4th graders learning robotics and playing with similar hardware that we had in our labs in university (they learn it 12 years earlier than me).

My son has been going there for the last three years and now we are also sending our daughter to ISD for prep school. The school is amazing. In the morning my kids are going to school happily every day and share great experiences when the return in the evening. We did an extensive research before (mostly between ISD and ISR) and decided for ISD in the end because the educational program is much better and the community is extremely nice. Back then we moved to Düsseldorf from a different area of germany and were welcomed so warmly from the ISD community. It`s really a special place.

We chose ISD due to its fantastic learning environment and resources, to date our oldest have graduated and we still have two left in the senior school. Can only recommend the school and its staff and wish that all schools were like ISD!

We have been very happy with ISD for both our children; over nine years we have seen them become critical and creative thinkers, as well as engaged and compassionate global citizens. The excellent teaching staff go above and beyond for their students, and there is a real sense of community. I can't imagine sending them to any other school.
