For me, this was one of the best restaurant on the island of Kos. We ate here several times because it was so good! We tried different meze and every single dish was super delicious. Really to recommend is the white house wine. The waiters also try very hard and want to provide good service, which they absolutely succeed in doing. We can recommend this restaurant in every way. Best go there yourself and thank me later ;)

We are here on our last night in Kos and it was a perfect way to end our holiday. Wonderful service from our waitress and the host who remembered us from walking past the previous day. All the team were so friendly and kind. The mezze was great- we particularly enjoyed the baked feta and the stuffed aubergine. All in all a fantastic experience! Would highly recommend!

Really nice staff and amazing food!! We had the time of our lives, even tho our friends ditched us. Luckily we replaced them with the staff. Couldn’t be happier! 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Ordered moussaka. Was good, taste was great, not so greasy like in other places, meat great. Ate it with Tzatziki, which was also good.

Good food, Poor service. We had a strong feeling that they don't serve customers equally. First waiter took a company who were behind us and escorted them to the tables. Then when we had finished eating and asked for a check we ended up waiting around 40 min before we finally got our check and only after we asked about it second time from other waiter. It might have been that the waiter we asked the check first forgot us but still he took checks to tables next to us but didn't seem to notice us even though we tried to make eye contact with him. Food were tasty but service let us cold.

A nice greek restaurant in the oldtown of Kos, really enjoyed our mixed Grill Plate, it was more than enough for 2 People. Couldn‘t finish it, the Pita was very good, also the Tzaziki! Prices are okay, would recommend!

we need a restaurant for lunch at kos town. The pita gyros was great for just 4,50 E. Coke cost 3,00 E for 330ml - okay but not cheap… service was good, but not perfect

Great place in a charming square. My husband and I spent a few hours here one evening. The beer was reasonably priced and I got a good fruit l smoothie, which seemed to be mixed with yoghurt or ice cream. We stayed for dinner and were very glad we did - Ambrosia served best moussaka I had all trip, and my husband really enjoyed his kleftiko. I would also recommend the dolmades we had as a starter. I would have liked to have seen face masks used a more consistently, and ones of the servers touched my husband’s shoulders a few times, which was too close contact during coronavirus. I’m pretty sure the staff also shouted at us across the square another day to get our custom... we will happily come back when the pandemic is over for the food and view, but no need to shout!

Family run business of 25 years! This place is the cheapest for beer during happy hour and truly know how to treat you as guests well! Couldn’t wait to take photos so apologies for the half full 😂🇬🇷 Awesome food as we had appetisers with our drinks having visited the Kos old town. Great for any type of food throughout the day from small dishes to larger meals out.

Visited Ambrosia twice. Both times upstairs and was served by a very kind, friendly and smiley waitress. We wanted vegetarian dishes, not so easy in Greece generally, but at Ambrosia, we had no issues. We ordered lots of meze and were guide by our waitress. Everything was delicious, but special mention to the mushrooms and humus, which were amazing.

Me and my family loved it. There were so sincere and welcoming. The food was delicious, literally everything we ordered. Calamari, mussels, fish and some meze along with uozo🫨❤️ The service was fast and the atmosphere was stunning in the upper floor. We also appreciated the little desert they offered us when we were paying the check :)

Great food and staff. We tried fried feta with honey, dolmades, wine cheese and filled calamari. Fried feta is a must! The waiter was very friendly. Definitely an authentic experience!

Picturesque, on one of the lovely squares in Kos Old Town, really friendly service, good atmosphere and tasty food! We had two cocktails, two starters, two mains ... 56 euros. Lovely! Thank you!

Definitely the best place in town! We had a great time and loved the service, everyone was more than kind. We came here yesterday at 2 for a small bite and were planning to leave after an hour, however we stayed till they closed at 12 in the evening :) Since we had such a lovely time we decided to come back today and we had the best time !!

Great food enjoyed and atmosphere was good. However spoilt by one particular waiter who was very abrupt and ignorant. Felt he picked and choose who he was friendly to. Other diners commented also on this. Shame was really nice food but will not be back

WARNING This restaurant operates a Euronet ATM on site, which charges very high fees, especially for currency conversion. One point has been deducted from this review for having a scam ATM in the building. Positives - Good atmosphere - good location Cons - lamb kleftiko disappointing, not the traditional version of the dish - waiters quite rude, service very very slow - drink prices at the absolute top end of acceptable (eg Mythos 5 euro, often 4 elsewhere, beer still going for 2 at the restaurant opposite), large water 1l not 1.5l like elsewhere Never seen a restaurant in Greece have a charge for bread before.
