A very special place in the city center of Kos, a worth to visit place for free, especially in autumn and spring where there is not very high temperature during that period. I suggest this place without a doubt, for tourists to visit!!

It’s a nice historical place besides from all the trash laying around. If you’d clean up the site it would be a much better view. I really appreciate the very big head marble statue that just lays calmly in the archeological dig.

Nice history place, that is free for the public. If it's on you way stay here and take a look.

Smallish ruins with a useful information signboard. Accessible 24/7

In a park just south of the main square, also other fine ruin spots around here.

It needs some TLC overgrown with litter all around even a bike thrown onto the ancient stones. You can still see the ancient site but in its present state it looks like a pile of old stones.. 😞

One of the small sites you will find dotted around the town, especially this part of town there is about 7 within a few hundred metres this and the southern part of the Agora are located in a small park.

There's nothing much left of the altar dedicated to the god of wine. However, the surroundings are nicely maintained, with steps and blocks giving a nice aesthetic to the place.

One needs a lot of imagination to see something that simply is not there! And it's free because it would be hard to convince anyone to pay for a dozen rocks that may, or may not, have been from a temple dedicated to Dionysus. It's only a speculation. I also noticed that most reviewers bundle up the entire Agora with the Altar of Dionysus, so it's not a fair comparison.
