If you go to Kos Town, you will end up here anyway. This is the hub of the town itself. The harbour is large and dominated by the castle. The area is surrounded by restraints and bars, most of which are way overpriced. My advice is to go a couple of blocks away from the port for better standards quality and prices. Most of the ferries to the other islands leave from here. The internal Greek ferries will leave from the right as you look out to sea at the other side of the castle and the others which involve Turkey or passports leave from the terminal on the left side of the mouth of the harbour as you look out to see. In the evening, the circular part of the port is filled with daytrip boats, etc.

Not that big but quite nice. Views of the castle and over to turkey. Lovely part of town with bars and restaurants all around.

Vibrant, touristic place. Most of the tours start here and you can also find many tour agencies near the harbor. It is also the starting point for the city trains, the blue line and the red line.

The harbour was really nice, plenty of bars and restaurants with fantastic views ! The supermarket is also very good with a wide variety of products.

Works still being carried out from earthquake damage. Nice views and level walking. What out for cyclists.. They are everywhere, and ride straight at you. No they are not all Greek but they are all ignorant to the fact sometimes you have nowhere to go. Could really do with a better cycling setup.

A fantastic day spent in Kos on a day trip while holidaying in Turkey. Such a laid back easy going place I loved every minute of being there. So many great restaurants and bars to choose from. Eat some fantastic food or get a drink, chill and simply watch the world go by. You can either get a 20 minute ferry from Bodrum or a more leisurely hour long ferry ( we opted for the hour ) and you have a day to spend soaking up the atmosphere of this lovely island

Lovely in the evening watching all the ships coming in. Plenty of bars and restaurants varying in price, and shops. Castle and hypocrates to view. Can park up bicycles and bustop at the dolphin 🐬 water statue.

The local harbour is breathtaking and I can sit by it for hours watching the boats coming and going. At night this place has an amazing feel. The only negative is the sometimes intrusive cruise vendors.
