For those who like an authentic local food with variety of ulam-ulaman and dipping sauces. Seem like the ultimate dishes is fried ikan keli/catfish. The restaurant is suitable for big family member because the dine area is very spacious and the food served for sharing. They also prepare water in the jug, quite cheap tho. The price is reasonable and affordable.

The best place to have lunch with your family. I enjoy all their foods because you can choose any foods you want (self-service). They also provide drinks in a jug, so you can just take it without waiting or queuing. The also got plenty of table so you can sit wherever you want especially during off-peak hours. Same goes for parking spots.

Restoran Nasi Ulam Cikgu is one of the best lunch restaurant in Kota Bharu. For the first timer who want to try budu should try to visit this restaurant. It located inside the Muzium Kraftangan area and besides Kelantan's Tourism office. This restaurant offers local village cuisine of Kelantanese dishes. There are various of side dishes provided and also buffet various types of ulam-ulaman/green leafs to be choose based on customer own preferences. For customer that comes in group, the also provide jug of drinks to be choose and you just need to take glass based on the number of group members. The price of the dishes relatively reasonable and affordable.

Arrived 1.45pm Thurs 3.1.2022. Jam-packed and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. - owner should implement a queue system on a first come first serve basis. We had to stand at a table where a family is almost done eating - very awkward - because everybody does it in order to secure a table. Not much variety of dishes available - singgang tongkol, keli goreng (locals favorite), cencaru bakar, kembung goreng, ayam percik, ayam goreng, telur dadar, telur masak lemak. Variety of ulam. Dishes quite bland. The air asam, budu were delicious. Choose your own drinks (a jug of sirap, sirap bandung, teh O ais) next to the cashier counter. Parked at the basement of nearby bazaar. Price very reasonable.

The best Nasi Ulam that we have ever had. The price is so reasonable. The owner Cikgu was super friendly person. He even assisted us to mix up some sambal belcan so that we can get the authentic taste of nasi ulam. He also gave so many suggestions for us to visit over at kota bahru area.
