"Overated by Loyal Customer" It was lunch hour after celebration of holy mass at nearby church. A talk of town, said that a nearby place served fantastic chicken rice. With an empty tummy, rasping for food, we drive to the place. Bunch of cars parked on the side of the road. These place must be good, we said to ourself. It was fullhouse during lunch hour, so we need to wait for a vacant table for a while. Luckily after 5 minute, there's a vacant. As we sit, their staff was busy hustling their feet.. Here and their.. But nothing on hand.. No one seems to be bothered by us with a table full of empty plates. After 15 minutes, I've decide to raise a hand, calling for their staff to clean the table and took our order. Sadly, we just received a look with no response. It was a very puzzling moment, it was not just us.. But few other customers on their tables with empty plates waiting it to be clean. I decided to go to the counter to order, looking at the menu for few minutes. The taukey seems not to be bother by me.. Called him to order foods, He just told me to just sit back at my table. Wait to be serve. Ohh.. Okay.. Waiting again for almost 10 more minutes with their staff just brush through us, empty handed serving and talking to customer with already food on their table. A lady came, to take our order. Unfortunately, only pork is available she said. We ordered, mixed charsiu pork and crispy pork. Food arrived quite fast. Food taste good. Same usual taste.. Nothing much special on their pork rice. During us hungrily devouring our food. Out of the sudden, one of their staff, shouted "roasted chicken rice!", as she taking order from one of the table. Some of us customers, puzzled again.. Since they said, only pork is available.. The place was overated by loyal customer. Service and floor management is very bad.

The food is really good and tasty, not overcooked with excessive salt or msg. Just like excellent homecooked food! Fried chicken and steamed ginger chicken was delicious. Be prepared to be patient and wait if there are many people :)

Roasted pork belly ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ 4/5 Hakka Long Bean Rice ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 (with slices of pork instead of usual anchovies, slightly mushy rice and oily - nevertheless it's a delicious plate of rice) Curry are mild, nothing like Indian, Malay or Peranakan type of curry. Beancurd Fu-Chuk and slices of bamboo shoots added into this curry. This 'curry' to me is similarly depicting Malay style gulai lodeh. Taste is ok. Old school kopitiam with comfortable seating arrangements. Collectibles of antiques of yesteryears can be seen displayed in this place. Attentive servers.

Enjoyed a nice meal with their long bean rice featuring steamed chicken, roasted pork, and char siew though the curry was unremarkable. Adequate seating, and the staff were alright. The vintage decorations add a rustic charm, but be aware of limited roadside parking. I'd consider returning if I'm ever in the area!

Managed to try the curry, steamed chicken and Long bean rice. Long bean rice is one of the signature dishes here, it is a type of Hakka cuisine that is rarely found on the market. Also the steamed chicken here is famous as well, it is tender and tastes great. The place lovated on the road side and the parking is very limited. Service is lacking, the server is less attentive, you need to sit on your table to wait for table service and it took quite a time.

It takes 10 minutes to get my order and waited another 40-50 minutes to get our meals and drinks. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ The staff are so busy yet they didn’t have time to serve us. 😤😤 Anyways, we still got nice food on our table. 😋🍗🍗 100% recommended for the steam chicken. 🍗🍗🍗 Please come early if you want to eat breakfast or lunch here.
