It's more turisty and more business-like attitude tour compared to the same other tour in the next door...the business size is bigger here, adjacent facilities are a food court and their souvenir shop.

Fun miso factory. Not much English but they give you some samples and you see over 100 year old equipment

Not a bad place to visit if one has time to spare. Self walk tours to see the miso making process and history. Has a little museum with some miso making paraphernalia and some simple explanation in English. The shop has some interesting souvenirs and miso based snacks.

Interesting food. Soft serve ice cream with some miso powder. Food court: some Katsu with miso sauce - very well fried, loved the sauce, a little sweet and salty. Also had some hot pot with noodles. Worth my while to come all the way to try. No English menu. Some pictures available - just pointed to a few items and tried them. 😆 food adventure. Had already done the miso tour in the other brewery down the road so didn’t join in this one here. You can see the big barrels from the food court.

It's a very old miso (soy bean paste) factory. The paste is quintessential part of Japanese cooking especially in certain parts like if Japan like Tokai. Hachomiso in Okazaki lets visitors see the old factory as they are taken on a free tour of the place culminating in a warm miso drink that looks like coffee.

Amazing and traditional missô factory, there is a little museum with professional who guides the groups showing us this factory history, the production process, and more. There are also a little shop with missô products and surprisingly delicious missô ice cream.

Very kind people, interesting free tour but exclusively in Japanese. If you read some information on internet about the whole proces beforehand or after the tour, it is very unique experience. And the miso ice cream they are selling is delicious

Free parking, free tour and it’s very informative. I recommend for people to visit. People work so hard without expecting much from people who are visiting. They even give some free stuffand free misodrink. So generous of them. Free to take photos and videos. It was very clean and very organized 30min duration. I don’t understand the negative reviews from ungrateful people.
