Kodanad view point gives a great glimpse of the Nilgiris with some really good view. Amidst the adjoining tea estate the view and areas around the view point make good choice as photo shoot spots. There are 2 spots that are great view points. I prefer the one that is just at the lower level from the main view point as it gives a much broader view and is more spacious. On a great weather this place could be a photographer's paradise

It's a good place to visit. The weather is nice, the place is well maintained, filtered water is available. You can see a lake and a river emerging from it, if there is no fog. The way to the place is very beautiful with a good road. The entry is free. An elevated spot is built for a better view. A shop is available.

It's a view point about 18 km ahead of Kotagiri. Driving on the meandering roads through lush green tea gardens is an amazing experience. Once you get there the view from the place is awesome looking down on to the valleys and the mountain ranges towards Mysore direction. Ticket is Rs 30 per head. Washroom ,tea and snack facility is available. Recommend to go in morning hours for best view other wise area is mostly cloudy or hazy during day time.

The viewpoint in itself is not that great. They do take entry fees of Rs 30 per person. But all you can see here is white blur. The ride to this place is indeed beautiful.

Visited in June 2023 One of the best view points with lesser crowd . We went there by 7AM and were treated to one of the most magnificent views from here. One can see 4 forest reserves from the view point ( Bandipur, mudhumalai, Satyamangala and BR Tiger reserve). There is an entry ticket but as we were early nobody was there to collect it. The drive to this place is also very good and highly recommended.

One of the Most stunning view point that I have seen in my life. We need to buy a 30 rupee ticket to see this . The view is stunning. Also the climate is incredible with breezy wind πŸƒ. Also there may be a chance to find wild animals here.

A must visit place. The view is so beautiful. Sometimes covered by fog and when the fog disappears you see mountain range covered in green with blue sky. A place where you can sit for hours admiring the view and feel the peace. You get lost in the beauty. You can reach till the view point with your vehicle. There is ample parking space. A small entry fee of Rs.15 per person. There is a small facility for tea and snacks. Also home stays are available nearby and also a small restaurant.

Good enough view point. Offers wide view and there is ample space to sit or stand and enjoy the view. Very good place for sunrise view. The mist does disrupt the view but we can still enjoy a good chilled spot for spending time.

The point has excellent views but could have been well kept, there is entry fee of 30 per person. This place has a lot of monkeys so please be careful. The views are breathtaking but this does not seem to be a tourist attraction due to its poor maintenance. This comes under the forest department.

Lucky enough to have a spectacular clear view. Entry fees is required. Worth a visit. The road to reach this place is also very good though it's far from the main Ooty town.

Had visited early morning to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately it was really foggy n the sun was not at all visible until it came up completely. Waited for an hour, the fog started clearing up n the hills were surrounded with cloud beds. It was a nice view. The roads leading to this place also have a few spots with good view points.

Wonderful experience and an exotic view. I went there based on the suggestion from my cousin who is staying in ooty. Despite heavy rush in the main spots in Ooty, this was totally without rush, yet so many are visiting. The drive is fantastic with beautiful scenery and smooth and silky road. Need to drive slow because monkeys might jump in front of your car. A must visit place.

This is a must visit sunrise spot in Kotagiri. It’s quite unexplored with very minimal crowd and no tickets. You don’t have to hike even a bit. The road leading towards this point is very well made and maintained, kudos to the administration!! However, there are no tea/maggi spots.

The view from top is mind blowing. Visit early morning before the sunrise for a pleasant view and hills valley is top notch. Everyone who visit ooty i would suggest everyone to visit this place. Cant express how beautiful it looks with your eyes.. the photos can’t justify this place. Its very beautiful, we had left from ooty main city around 5.45 am it takes nearly 1hr 10mins to reach the end point with bike or car with many turns and twistis the road is beautiful. We also saw bison, try to reach there before 6 am to see the best sunrise..

Nice views, but seen better. Nothing exhilarating, maybe due to low visibility. This is a dead end but the route to reach Kodanad view point is nice. Visited in quite sunny weather maybe should try in a little colder time or maybe in monsoon for an even better experience.

One of the most striking aspects of Kodanad View Point is its unparalleled scenery. As you stand at the viewpoint, you are greeted with panoramic views that will leave you awe-inspired. The mist-laden mountains, verdant valleys, and cascading waterfalls create an idyllic setting that feels straight out of a postcard. The ethereal beauty of the place is something that words cannot truly capture.

Calm, chilly and scenic place. The views consisting of the mountains, falls n cloud beds gave a nice soothing experience. Must visit during weekdays if u need to experience the serenity with less crowd 😊

One of the best view points around Ooty. Situated about 20 km from kotagiri town. Ride to kodanad view point from Kotagiri is truly amazing. Beware of the monkeys while you're here.

Come here to Enjoy the amazing view above the clouds. And to enjoy the cold weather. You can find lodge to stay very near to the view point. Only 30 minutes ride from kothagiri. Very good road, beautiful views while you drive from ooty- kothagiri- kodanad. 20 rs entry fee when you reach there. Don't miss this when you are coming to Ooty.

The view from the point is mesmerising, the place might be misty some times but would recommend you to wait for few minutes, once the fog is cleared the view from there is really breathtaking.

One of the best view of Lower Bhavani and Dhimbam forest area you can have from Nilgiris. Entire vally is visible from this place. Near calm and maintained.Roads are also good. Entry fees is charged. This place is worth visiting even though you have to travel 30kms from Ooty main city.

Very unique view point . A must visit if you are visiting Ooty or Coonoor. The ride towards Kodanad is a beautiful experience. It’s filled with scene roads and plantations. The viewpoint is less crowded in mornings and you can witness a beautiful sunrise from here. πŸŒ… Ample parking space, clean public restrooms and small cafeteria available.
