The famous B Leaf.. Kesel Kole.. May be the Original.. The small shop with a rural vibe.. How the place has changed and developed.. But happy that they have still made an attempt to keep the old ambience..and feel.. The food was great and delicious as always.. Rice and curry may be a bit costly if you compare with general rice and curry joints.. But this is different.. Highly recommend to dine in.. But take aways are not at all bad.. So if you are hungry and want to try some good rice and curry with a great spread.. This is one place you should try. M

TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE. Overall great food, not expensive and A LOT of options. The place is located by the side of the main road near the main road. Plenty of parking space. The restaurant is on the 1st floor. U can take the stairs or the elevator. The food was great. I had fried rice and chicken this time but I had rice and curry before and my friends had pork curry. We were all very satisfied with the food's taste and portion. Totally Worthit for the price. The fried rice tasted way above it's price ancld the chicken soup don't taste as a typical chicken soup and it has more grains and other ingredients added to it. You can pick the curries for your rice and curry and the choices are more than you can ever imagine. They have all the regular meat and seafood options pork and beef. They provide kola Kanda in the morning and soup in the evenings The atmosphere is excellent. The place is decorated as a typical shop at a village made of clay and coconut leaves. They have filled the place with antique ornaments, appliances and machines. Highly recommend if you are gonna grab a quick bite or a meal.

The best place closer to Colombo to enjoy the authentic and delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. Family run business operational for about two decades now. Prices are reasonable and a great variety in curries, mains. You can select four vegetable curries (out of around twenty) for free and then the choice is protein. Lime and passion juices are frequent, sometimes coconut water and faluda. Choice of desserts include fruit salad and caramel. Washrooms are clean and spacious. We normally go for vegetable rice and curry along with separate portions of preferred protein. Tends to get pretty busy specially in weekends and holidays. A special mention of the interior and the mood. It's virtually a museum of household equipment used decades ago, going back to colonial period. The dining area is built to give the feel of a village home and you can enjoy old Sinhalese songs along with the meals. Sometimes owners themselves can be seen working in the kitchen and serving areas. Their efforts and dedication to maintain this wonderful authentic restaurant is commendable.

Quite different place. The owner is an antique lover. They have one of the best curry selection in the town. All the available curries are displayed on curry pots. They have local curries and fried rice, buriyani options.Their curry display has 15+ local curries and its great to see they are maintaining their standed pretty well. The place has car park for 10+ vehicles and dining area for 50+ people.

One of the top places to have rice and curry in colombo. A good range of selection. The curries were full of flavor and very much authentic. Bit spicy but that is to be expected. Could be very busy during lunch hours and there could be a line but if you wanted to try authentic sri lankan dishes this would be an option. As far as the ambiance, it has rustic vintage vibe to it, something you do not get to see often!

It's a famous place in Rattnapitiya for lunch and dinner. You can have rice and curry, fried rice and biriyani. Most of people comes for rice and curry. They have variety to choose. The queue is little bit longer for rice and curry. For fried rice and biriyani less queue. Dine in and takeaway available. Worth for the price. You can get soup, soft drinks and dessert too. Crowded place but the staff will handle it. Parking will be a bit problem. Otherwise everything fine.

Very unhygienic place. Rice and curry had no taste. No spices used at all. Place not cleaned for ages especially car park lift and on to the entrance of the restaurant. Serving people also serve very stingly. Been an animal friendly person cats has infested the whole building. While we ate cat stole food from a diners place while they went to wash hands. They have even not started eating. Prices reasonable but does not justify the other aspects.

Fell in love with this place when we found it by accident. It's got a small facade but is a very large area inside. Was enthralled by the huge display of clay pots filled with local delicacies. We had hoppers and they were perfect. 8 plain hoppers and 4 egg hoppers with curry and katta sambal and the bill as under Rs.600 - definitely going back here soon!

Food was great and they providing with larger potion to the normal size. Atmosphere and vibe is more of a 70's - 80's. Don't have AC and prices are affordable. Food was not warm at the time. Have a good parking lot and good family restaurent.

A local restaurant. Spacious place with lunch and dinner options. Less crowded at evenings. Staff is friendly. Many meals choices are available. Accepts only cash. Worth the price. Meal quantity is more than the required by an average person. Well served. Restaurant is built with a classic antique theme. Many old antiques can be seen as exhibits. Restaurant is on the first floor of a commercial building. Parking is available on the ground floor. Classic Sinhalese music is played on background. A cozy place, really loved.

Buffet meal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available. Several Sri Lankan dishes to select. Recommend to vegetarians. They prepare uncommon dishes with vegetables. When i went they had a dish which made by fried Kohila and it is very delicious. Curries tastes like a homemade food 😋. Reasonable price. Ample parking.

Good place to have a decent nutritious srilankan meal. With 5 vegetable curries and a meat item is a well balanced meal you are looking for. Lots of space with a nice environment. A good parking is available at the ground floor. Service is good. Also they have a homemade lime juice.

Great place to dine in and have traditional Sri Lankan Rice and curry. The place gets queued up early for lunch, as early as 1130 am. Mainly for take away. Good dessert too, specially the Caramel Pudding is tasty. Food quantity served is generous compared to other places. Best of luck guys!

Different place when compared to a normal restaurant. It has some of the antique products used in the past in display. It has self service and we can select any curries as we wish and pay the bill. The food is also good but it’s too spicy 🥵. I wish the food was little bit less spicy it is a good choice in the area to take our meals.

Best!! Love their food, varieties, ambiance and everything. They have renovated the building. Now they have ample parking and even a lift to take you to the 1st floor. More than 20 curries to choose from. They have About 5 to 6 fruits juices and 2 to 3 dessert items. Decent pricing. Great location. Highly recommended.
