Best food for the North Indian visitors, All the dishes was amazing in taste also the quantity of food is sufficient. The best food of the outlet is Paneer Butter Masala and Hariyali Chicken 🍗 Good service provided by the restaurant, polite behaviour of the staff.

I accidently stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the busy streets of Heritage town. This place ticked off most of my checklist points when it came to food and service. Thers nothing fancy about this restaurant. Its the food that speaks for itself. Would rate it budget friendly. Generous portions of Full Hariyali chicken served. Well cooked meat. Succulent. Do give it a try on your visit to heritage town. Friendly staff. They help you out in choosing the dishes from the menu.

Found this place by online and went there to eat North Indian food but the food quality was really bad & unhygienic + service time was too long. Price of food is reasonable but quantity is low. Ex - Pic's I have attached down of Tandoori roti more look like any normal roti at home.

The food was pathetic. Never had that bad a butter chicken at any Punjabi or North Indian food joint. The Mutter panner was sweet as a candy. Don't know how people call it authentic north indian food. The only authentic dish we felt was butter roti. Go to this place if you have had too good a day and then you want to balance it out with some below average food✌️

It's like an oasis in desert for all north Indians in Pondicherry. If you want to taste authentic Punjabi dishes in Pondicherry it is one of the best place Though the place is not that neat and clean but foods served are delicious.

Supremely delicious homely north indian food. We went for lunch just 15mins before their closing time. We were really skeptical about the food after reaching the place, from the outside the dhaba may not look very appealing but the food is definitely worth a visit. Their chicken curry is to die for 😊

Best Punjabi food I have tasted in Southern India. Their portions per plate is amazing. 5/5 for being affordable. 5/5 for serving delicious food. I'm elated I found this place via internet and will definitely recommend everyone to visit it while at Pondicherry. Please try out their kulchas and tandoori chicken.

Worst panneer butter masala I have ever had... Doesn't even look anything remotely resembling paneer butter masala. Ordered delivery and ate at home, but the food has a nauseating white color. Almost everyone who had it felt like puking. Not worth the money, time or even a single star. I'd recommend steering clear of this place

Worst food i ever had in pondy, i don't know how PPL have commented it as authentic and wish i could rate them zero for the cleanliness and hygiene, when we have complined about the food he was very rude and didn't let us Click the picture.

The place doesn't look hygienic first of all. We ordered butter naan, chicken curry which was not so tasty, and daal with no taste. The jaljeera soda was the only good thing. Not like a proper dhaba food. No taste at all. Really not recommended.

Delivery: packaging was good. The taste of food was also good. It's a authentic north India food with love of puducherry. Price is reasonable. Not too expensive. Tried combos. No doubt it was tasty.

This is perhaps highly overrated hotel in pondicherry! Prices are higher and food quality is terrible considering these prices! We had ordered food for 6 people and we could not eat all the items especially the chicken curry which is charged Rs 180. 2pc chicken and thick half cooked gravy which will raise your cholesterol level the very same day! All the items were garbage except the butter paneer which was good. Had food in lot of punjabi hotels around many states which had some resemblance across all but this hotel had none! Terrible food terrible price. Not at all recommended who want a decent food. Try at your own risk!

I'll behaved response from the person on call. I ordered the food telling that children needs to eat. Ordered butter roti. Everything parcelled but every dish was spicy that adults can't even eat without water and roti received without butter. On complaining, answer was that we can't do anything. You can come and take your money back.

When we entered, no one seemed to be bothered about showing us a table. We ourselves sat on a table when none of the staff or the owner moved. The food was decent. Non AC. Not a great atmosphere.

The food is fine. A little spicy and oily but being one of the few North Indian food places in pondy. You might find it good to dine here once in a while. The mango lassi is good.

Authentic Punjabi cuisine! An appetizing vegetarian treat for all the foodies, trying to savour the original Punjabi food which can only be completed with glass of mouth-watering, scrumptious Lassi. And not to forget the amazing rooftop experience. It's not just a hotel to eat, but an experience, a moment of indulgence, a quiet place to spend time with family and yet feel like home. Note: non veg also served here.

been a go to place for north India food for me from last year 10+ years. ambiance is very basic..but taste is good.. roof top sitting..where you can enjoy nice bytes..it's a typical dhabba style restaurant..staff is courteous.. owner Sardarji..welcomes you with a smile.. parking is not available..

Chicken biryani has to taste like biryani and not some fried rice and topped with chicken pieces. Chicken tikka has to be a little tender and succulent pieces rather than thick breast pieces. Chicken gravy was ok ok. The food was homemade no doubt in it but the quality and taste wasn’t good at all.

They definitely provide decent north indian cuisine, at affordable price..... The most hyped roof top dinning have bad arrangements and ambience..... They definitely can take efforts to improve their hotel outlook and inlooks....... If you are ordering gravy just order half gravy that itself enough for 2-3 people......!!! And it is located in on of busy street of pondi town - Mission Street......!!!!

The quantity here is good, the taste is also authentic. The ambience is not very family like, so I’d recommend ordering here instead of dining in but the food is definitely not to be missed. Not just the food, their sweet lassi reminds you of punjab. I had paneer butter masala, dal makhani, paneer bhurji and mushroom mutter. Excluding mushroom mutter, all the dishes are fabulous and hence if you crave authentic North Indian, you can definitely come here once. If only their ambience becomes better, it would become my go to place in Pondicherry.

I went with my friends to this place when we went on vacation. The aura and the place seems to be quite old but it will give a touch of antique infrastructure. The place offered vegetarian and non vegetarian both. So we ordered vegetarian and non vegetarian and the food was really tasty and fresh. The staff was really nice. Though the restaurant was old but the taste was intact. In the city where its really tough to find a good North Indian restaurant this place is worthy.

try the tandoori chicken. kheer was good. don't have much opinion about the other stuff(too punjabi for me probably¿). the old man at the counter is nice.

For a change it really felt good walking into a rustic place with fragrance of mustard oil n being warmly greeted by a Sikh uncle ! If you are craving for some rich (not necessarily healthy!)North Indian food then this is a good place to go. Don’t be a cleanliness freak as it’s a dhaba! I am giving 4 star as I didn’t find their butter chicken any good however my partner really loced her veg options that she ordered. Sweet Lassi was great.

If you love north indian food or you are in pondi with parents who cant have cafes food 3 times a day take them here for a dinner. Authentic punjabi dhaba food runned by pubjabi uncle.Open rooftop to sit with moonlight and all together different vibe.Reasonable price .I loved this place a lot since i am hardcore punjabi food lover .

We a group of 9 hopped in here hoping to have a good food as all of us were very hungry... Unfortunately... It's not as gud as it's hyped.. in panneer Paratha i dint find much of panneer ,neither in alu Paratha did u find alu, pudina Paratha was just very bad.gobi Manchurian was very spicy. Very delayed service.. Sad part is dahi pickle is not served with Paratha we shud order it individually. Mango lassi did not have any flavour of mango. Not a place to visit when you are very hungry , delayed service...

The food is worst ever I had. I'm from AP and expected something more and better but was seriously dissatisfied. The biryani rice is third grade and sticky. Non veg is not cooked . Shiiiiiii****

  • 5/5 Saikat D. 2 years ago on Google
The service is bit slow but the same is compensated by the amazing punjabi taste of the food they serve. This joint is very busy as they support take away as well which is always a priority for any restaurant. While ordering try to ensure you order accurate quantity to avoid further delays.
