Cafe xtasi is a place that serves pizzas made from wood fire oven. I ordered a chicken pizza it was wonderful. The crust was well baked the pizza was delicious and the toppings were ultimate. For a price of 399 a regular sized pizza will be enough for 3 people who can eat properly . I had taken away the pizza because of rain but I would have liked to have eaten it there ordering few more dishes the restaurant smelled wonderful and ambience was good. Staff were helpful to decide what to order.

I must say, these were the most delicious pizza I have ever had. They serve wood fired pizza which are so delicious. We had a veggie pizza. Even the portion of pizza was good enough. It had a perfect crust. We also had some pasta which were different and tasted good. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and ambience at Cafe xtasi.

Wood fire pizza here is well made and very tasty. The art painted on the walls is unique. It is a nice place for spending time. Prices are reasonable too. It is in the center of Pondy so its easily accessible if you're in that side of town.

Just landed here to try their pizzas. We ordered Chukini (chicken) and Prawny pizzas which tastes really good and it was in good size (Party portion) which costs Rs.849 Honey chicken wings or something related to this name- This dish was simply awesome ( must try) and tried their garlic bread as well. Ambience was average where you can have a fine dining with family. Service was also on average. If you visit pondicherry and want to try a different pizza you should visit here

This is one of the famous and recommended pizza places in the town but I didn't like their pizzas a lot. The pizzas were thin crust wood fired. The crust was very crispy and crunchy and i liked that. It had good amount of veggies and cheese but i felt a little bit of blandness even after adding oregano (It might be possible because of the variant I went for or maybe sauce was less or had less salt)

Good place to have Pizzas and pastas. They have multiple options in veg and non-veg. I tried their mushy pasta, pizza vegetariana, mint mojito and lime soda. Everything was good in taste. Service was also fine.

When you go to such a famous cafe, you go with a lot of expectations and when they are unable to fulfill it you fill disappointed. Probably same thing happened with us. No doubt ambiance was good but food was lacking in taste. Service was slow, I had to call someone 3 times to give my order and with respect to that price is not fair.

The Meat Madness pizza was perfect (a medium - 12" thin crust pizza is more than sufficient for 2), the batter fried prawns were fresh and succulent, but the butterscotch ice-cream was full of ice bits and was old stock. Go there for the beautiful pizzas, avoid the frozen desserts.

Horrible taste and service. They've assigned only 1 waiter for the whole floor so even for taking your order, they'll take so much time. After that also, taste is not good as compared to price. Better avoid this place.

Wood fire pizza. Decent pizza with generous quantity of food. We ordered : Mr. Veg Pizza with Oreo shake and lime juice. Regular size pizza was enough for both of us. Liked the food but ambience is little dead. Staff do a decent job but look very not interested in their job.. but no complains about the taste or service. I would go back.

Wooden Fried Pizza.. Freshly prepared unlike we eat in chennai with thick base, here it's very thin and crispy. Must visit place if you are in pondicherry.

It is one of the budget friendly place in pondicherry for having good pizza. We order two pizza spicy Thai pizza and spicy barbeque pizza. Both were tasty. And need to wait for 15 minutes to get a pizza. It is a good place if you are looking budget friendly authentic pizza

A decent place. Lot of rush during weekend. Pizza was good. Very light. A 12 inch pizza can be easily eaten by 2.

Location: good, easy to find. Ambience: average Food: Decent. It wouldn't say it was great. Serving time: very slow. They took 15 minutes to take our order and almost another 40 minutes to serve our pizza. We had asked for two toppings (A and B) to be replaced by two other toppings (C and D). They did not add A and B as requested, but did not replace them with the other toppings. Even after we asked them, they did not reduce the amount. I would call this cheating since they charge extra for additional toppings. The place seemed visibly understaffed. Overall, this place appears to have been marketed well, but the experience was not satisfactory.

We had a very bad experience at cafe Xtasi, place was full of flies and tables were sticky. and most importantly food was bad. we have had better pizza and chicken in small stall in pondi. Overrated.

Upon stumbling across Cafe Xstasi on social media, I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype. The online presence and the beautiful food pictures had set high expectations, but my visit left me somewhat disappointed. Let's start with the pizza, a dish that seems to be a major attraction according to the cafe's online presence. To be honest, I found it to be rather average. The taste and quality of the pizza didn't match the extravagant praise it had received on social media. It felt as if the online buzz had oversold the culinary experience. While the presentation was good, the taste was simply not as exceptional as I had anticipated. Another aspect that dampened my experience was the service. The staff at Cafe Xstasi seemed rather slow in responding to customer needs. It took longer than expected to place our orders and receive our food. This sluggish service made the overall dining experience less enjoyable, as we had to wait longer than we would have liked. In summary, my visit to Cafe Xstasi was somewhat underwhelming. The pizza, which had been glorified online, turned out to be average at best, and the service left much to be desired. While the cafe has its charms, I couldn't help but feel that it didn't live up to the overhyped expectations I had gathered from social media. Perhaps it was an off day, but my experience left me with a sense of unmet potential.

pizza wasn't as spicy as promised. kind of pricey cafe for the quantity being served. service was excellent though and staff were really nice and will give you wifi password if you ask them and the environment of the cafe is cozy and comfortable too.

Visited this place on weekdays. The cook on leave maybe because of less crowd in Pondy on weekdays,so most of the items were not available from the menu. Could order only pizza which was okayish was expecting a lot after reading other reviews . The service was good. Maybe try this place on weekends for more food options and better food

Let's talk about the food - had their Chicken 65 Pizza and plain ginger ale. Both the dishes were bloody brilliant. The crust of the pizza was not to my liking - cardboard thin, but it wasn't a major complaint. I genuinely felt it was a tasty pizza and the cheese was great. I've tried a few wood fried pizzas around pondi, but this is right on top. Would recommend for the food. The plain ginger ale is fermented right at Auroville and I frankly loved the drink. Goes by the name Kajimba and would definitely recommend it. I only visited the ground floor, but the dim lighting and the oldish feeling walls didn't really feel very appealing. Service was a bit of a mess - could notice that the orders were being confused and the waiters were debating who this pizza belonged to. Not a very reassuring sign. Most of the beverages were unavailable - and the weekend was just getting started. Lot of scope to improve.

The wood fire pizza here was delicious. It's a nice place to spend time, with the food being tasty and reasonably priced. Also being in the center of white town, it is easily accessible if you are staying in that part of the town. If you are a pizza lover, this is a great place to have one .

Loved the wood fired pizza and pasta. Made right in front of you. Best in town. If you are visiting Pondicherry and you are a pizza lover, then you must try pizza here. Price was the same compared to other cafés in pondi. Consistently great pizza with great variety of toppings and styles. Service is fast too. Can’t go wrong with this place.

Came here because of the reviews thinking it's a very good place for pizza. But it's just another restaurant with too much unnecessary hype. Definitely had better pizzas at worst places. It was very bland and tasted so bad. Pizza was over cooked too. Chicken wings tasted bad too. Please don't come here with too much expectations

It’s quite a small place, not so well maintained and quite dingy. Fully crowded at almost all times. Takes a min of 30-40 mins for ur order being served. But all this makes up for the delicious pizzas served. Their Thin crust cheesy pizzas are a must try. I would suggest u visit them during off times for a better experience. The pizzas were thin crust wood fired. The crust was very crispy and crunchy. Overall a good place to visit for some fresh pizza experience in Pondy

Overall good. You can go and enjoy food here. We have tried below options... 1. Garlic Bread - taste was pretty good 2. Chicken 65 Pizza Both are good in taste but chickens in Pizza seems to be little hard. Little more cooking was required to make those juicy. It might be issue for today but overall good. Card payment accepted. Cold drinks and desert options are also available.

Freshly baked wood fired pizzas, tucked away among regular urban establishments. Seating is limited, service is slow, especially when the cafe is fully occupied. But the taste is worth the wait. Make sure you order in one go, to avoid delays in delivery.

Just had a Medium Pizza. Have heard good reviews of the place so decided to give it a go. The pizza was brilliant and plenty for 2 people. It was a thin crust pizza with the right amount of cheese and meat.

Great place to have pizzas. The taste is good and fresh. In order to have half and half party of jumbo size is available which i think is around 18 inches of pizza. No nonsense cafe serving some lip smacking wood fired pizzas.

I must say one of the best pizza crust i have ever eaten. Being a pizza lover its a must visit place. Prices also not very high and you get proper wood baked pizza's. Must try.

Well, i tried only one pizza and one side (garlic bread) and it was enough for me to never go back to this place again or even recommend it to anyone else. Ambience wasn't really good or welcoming, low lights were troublesome. Pizza was very tasteless had to eat it will lot if ketchup to get some taste. Garlic butter toasts were hardly having any butter. Another over hyped place in pondicherry losing on it's quality and just banking on their popularity.

  • 4/5 Ajish G. 2 years ago on Google
The original place for wood fired pizza. I say original because 8 years ago when I visited Pondicherry, this was the only place that served wood fired pizza. This time around many restaurants, even le cafe, had it in their menu. The crowd has also reduced but happy that they are maintaining the quality and taste still the same. If you are going for pizza's in pondy, this is a must visit place.
