A friend was staying here long term and i was visiting her for a day. It's a beautiful place, done up tastefully. Comfortable beds and a pantry with all basic essentials like toaster, bowls, plates etc. There's filtered drinking water available inside. I would definitely go back here and stay long term when I take a break again. Highly recommend.

I stayed in Kariappa House for 2 days in Room A. Pros: 1. Courteous, helpful and friendly staff 2. Very quiet and close to nature 3. Amazing pool, plus point it is shaded. You need to book a slot in advance. This can be done one on one once you reach the property. 4. The bread and croissants are yumm and homemade. 5. Has parking space. Cons: 1. It is recommended to get your own toiletries and dental kit. 2. Some lanes to the property is very narrow for the cars, try to take the main route always. 3. The food options are limited and expensive. The breakfast has croissant, south indian cuisine, muesli and bread. As the rooms do not have fridge, each floor has one refrigerator and the fridge in tea room is accessible 24*7. There are mosquitoes in the rooms but the rooms are well equipped with mosquito repellents. The property has a pup (jasmine) and two cats (DD and _*i forgot the name*_). The place is well maintained.

A memorable night stay... beautiful furniture and thoughtful classy decor. The place is clean and quiet...Jazzy the Labrador stole the show, exuberant girl! The place is quaint with colonial charm.

Brilliant stay at Kariappa House for 4 nights. Note, this is not a hotel, so please don't treat it as such. It is a beautiful home, with welcoming staff and home style rules. We swap our outside slippers for home slippers, go up to our well appointed rooms and let the outside world go by as everything quietens down. The breakfast is a simple spread of one South Indian item, bread and omlettes. The pool is perfect for two people and must be booked in advance, giving you a private experience. But the best of all are the staff (Jazzy the labrador included). They are helpful, warm and take pride in their work. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. If you want to skip the loud crowds, late night music and bustle of white town, this place is for you.

To avoid, do not give advance payment... I lost 15k inr for nothing. I asked early for a refund regarding the cyclone, which unfortunately forced me to cancel my trip. The hotel didn't cared at all and was absolutely not flexible, even regarding an exceptionnal and sad situation like this.

This place is one of the best in Pondicherry, classic, felt like home, good food, friend staff. Ramji and Vanija Mam have showed the best hospitality. I will give 100 out of 100 to this place. This is one of the best.

I stayed at the property with my family in October '22 and absolutely fell in love with it. I'll go back to Pondi only to stay at this property. The staff and hosts were nice, the breakfast was simple and delicious (my mother might have asked for recipe of the coconut chutney), and it wasn't too far from the centre. The staff will even help you out with getting an auto! Highly recommend this place.

It's a lovely place just beautiful, rooms excellent very well maintained by the house keeping people they are hard working to keep the place clean and beautiful. The staff is very polite and very helpful.specially Mr Ramji .Ms vannaccha is very well mannered,all staff 5 star, Mr dilip at the main reception is very courteous and very helpful. I loved this place.
