Very peaceful. No pollution. Multi cultural. Peaceful co existence. Very helpful coordinators. I believe inner temple requires pass. To get pass u may have to stay at pondy for a few days. Carry bottle of water for the long walk to view point. Beautiful green walk upto view point. Please like this review.

Very nice place but could only see from the outside. If you want to go inside you have apply 3 to 7 days in advance and get permission, which we didn't know so couldn't see the inside of the Mandir.

A nice place to visit, lot of tourists visit here. The information centre tells you all you need to know about Auroville and why it was founded, there is a video tour as well for anyone who is interested. The matri mandir is a very unique looking building which intrigues anyone who sees it to know what’s inside of it. Inside there is a meditation centre which is not open to all, you need to apply for it first and you might get a chance to experience it in a day or two. There are plenty of food options to explore here from fresh bakes to salads to ice cream. They were pretty good Overall a good place for a one time visit

One of the popular place to visit in pudhucheery, but do book your appointment online as even though you don't enjoy meditation (like me 😜) atleast you could see the structure very close. Since I didn't book my appointment i was only able to see the structure from far but still enjoyed my own company their.

Matrimandir is 2km away from visitor centre. Have to walk a long distance to reach the place(weather will be hot & humid, so please carry umbrella, snacks & water). Even roads there, visitors get entry only whose walk. The good thing is while returning You will get free bus service. If you want to visit inside Matrimandir then only option available is book through online. Inside the visitor Centre Audio Visual hall, Museum, Restaurant, Craft Bazaar , small shopping mall ect is available.

This is 2km away from main entrance. Car parking is ₹100 and for two wheelers its ₹40only. To reach the place bus facility is available only for handicapped, Senior Citizens and Mother with Baby. But while returning bus facility is available for every one. I left it's not worthy as because u can't visit or see inside. As u can see in the picture. If you want to see inside then only option available is book through online. Inside the premises of Matri Mandir food stalls, small shopping mall ect is available.

A very nice and serene experience. An excellent place to visit with clean surroundings. Well maintained and nice arrangements for visitors. Should be on the itinerary of every visitor to Puducherry. If you're looking to spend some peaceful time for a walk amongst nature... this is the place for you. Plentiful opportunities for photo enthusiasts. Disability friendly options are available for the aged and differently abled.... something that's well thought about. A very nice experience.
