Regarding the reply given to ETHUKRISHNAN M DAS by the owner of rudra houseboats things were happend on reverse that what you had said The incident took place was told by the them: The aftermath lunch was served in the middle of the back waters with no palm trees around with direct sun coming. We had not asked them to sail the boat rather requested to park it in the shelter area once the lunch is done. Travel agent was told 10 times that we are vegetarian. So they are not doing any favour by preparing veg food for us. They gave us kaccha roti and beans ka sabzi, sambhar and dal. We were waiting for the lunch on the table and the entire food was served cold. On request they only heated the dal again. Evening tea and snack is suppose to be served after intimation. We were informed after it was kept on the table. They knocked the door and said ki evening snack bahar rakha hai khalo. They served it at a time when we were tired and resting in the room. If we have booked a place we would want to eat meals at our convenient time During the dinner time they had not closed the boat curtains whereas othee boats were closed. the entire dining was filled with mosquitoes and we had a one year and two year infant with us. We would have tolerated the heat but mosquitoes was unacceptable to us. Still we did not complain and asked him to serve in the room (no one wants to spoil the bed in which one has to sleep). We had a picnic mat which we had placed before eating. We had asked them to make separate dal for babies without chilli but the cook had put green chilli. Thus we had to ask him to cook the maggi which we had bought from the market. He served the food in the bedroom with katch roti. Very politely my wife told him that roti is kaccha but the guy with a very bad attitude took the entire caserole saying ki khana waste kar rahe ho. Ek do roti kaccha hoga dusra khalo. This is not the way you speak to guest. He misbehaved with my wife. Apart from this the bathrooms were unclean and had stagnat water. My friends wife in the morning when went to kitchen to prepare baby food byherself she saw that the flour had hundreds of ants in it and the kitchen was super unhygienic. In the morning from the same atta they prepared us poori. The pic has alredy been shared.

My concept of a house boat stay was entirely changed when I stayed in Rudra Houseboats.. It was indeed an awesome experience for me and my family.. The staffs were very polite and friendly and thanks to Mr. Giri who took his extra effort to prepare warm milk for my 1.5 old child. Kudos to the entire houseboat team . Will surely recommend to my friends and relatives.

Good crew in general. Very responsive and good hospitality. Bathrooms not so clean. AC inside bedroom started dripping in the evening and wasn't fixed. Wouldn't open an empty room to replace the one I'm staying at. Had the guts to ask for tips at the end of the trip after that incident.

Great experience. This was my first time in House boat. They made feel special with a great service. We found calm and greenery surroundings on our house boat excellent.just out of the world.The food was awesome.The boat was very comfortable.we were shown many parts which can only be seen from boat.The whole stay was awesome here.

Overall an awesome and Wonderful experience, we had fun with family. We had booked 2 bedroom houseboat for group of 5 with a small child. The journey started at around 11.30. They have very good staff, the helpdesk lady called us multiple times in morning to guide us to the location of boat. We stayed on the boat till morning. schedule was : welcome drink once the boat starts off, lunch(boat stopped for lunch in the lake), evening tea and snacks(payyamburi), boat halts at a location for evening till morning, dinner and boat moves back to starting point, breakfast, then Deboarding. The staff on the boat( driver, cook and one more person) wer very courteous and polite. They guide you and tell you fascinating stories about the place. Loved their hospitality. Food: It was awesome, but if you are from North, pls do ask the chef to use Kashmiri chilly instead of the red hot chilly, even after more than a month since our trip,we still remember spicy dinner 😂 Tip: pls ask for the duck mappas, the best that we had there(we paid additional of 500 for buying duck) . Also pls carry mosquito repellent and own snacks if you are travelling with child.

The experience with Rudra House boats was good, Vineeth (the chef) and Kannath (boat driver) were very welcoming and hospitable. They charge about 1500 per hour (if you book hourly basis) but you can negotiate that. Food is 500 per person onboard ( do let them know in advance if your vegetarian because it’s mostly non vegetarian food available in the meal ) . They also take you to lake side fish market to buy crabs, prawns and fish which will be cooked onboard and served to you if you’re interested. All in all it was a good experience.

An okish kind of experience. There is no entertainment in the boat. After sailing for sometime they stop the boat at particular location over the night from then there is nothing much to do in the boat. Never ever plan in the summer. It is very hot and AC is for name sake. Food is ok.

Pathetic experience on Rudra boat-1 We booked a single occupancy bedroom boat which was unhygienic Lizards in bathroom as well as bedroom. Small insects on towels. Except this food was good .

We were 2 adults and a 4 year old kid. We had one of the memorable experiences. We had gone with a mindset that experiencing nature its truest form might not be an indulgence with a luxury but an experience of a different kind. However in this rawness the staff did maintain a good level of comfort. Vineet the chef and caretaker is an amazing person and did his duty well and also helped customise few food options for our kid. He surely needs to be appreciated for the good food (we had vegetarian) & was assertive and quite co-operative. Rajesh the boat driver was good and navigated quite well in uncharted areas. One point of improvement can be to explain to the relevance of few points to the customers, overall it was a memorable experience

Excellent food and great host.

Room is full of crawling/flying insects. AC was dripping water, constant cooling was not coming through. Very shitt drainage smell coming from one of room/ diesel smell make you feel vomitted. Under the bed full of cobwebs and insects. Here i am giving you 1 star is for cook Vineeth, who did his job well.

Had a really best experience and such amazing food with lots of love and really happy to have such pleasure full experience in houseboat ❤️ 😊
