On first arrival, I thought this place was great. Clean, modern interior. Floor 17. A bit of a view of the harbour. But once you start using the room, you appreciate how badly designed it is. Despite being this far up, you can hear everything that's going on in the street below even with the window closed. You have partitioned toilet and shower areas. These are backed by a full-length window. Great for exhibitionists, but some might not like this. There's a blind, but the great outdoors is still visible, and the adjacent building's populace can probably see your special areas. The toilet and shower room share a single sliding door - either the shower room is closed, or the toilet, never both. This doesn't matter, though, since there's a gap of about a foot between the top of the door and the ceiling. When you shower, the whole room fills with steam. There are no frills such as a gym, room service, etc, but it's a nice place and well-located for the ferries.

I'm here on a long stay, HKD 8000 a month. A good sized room, helpful staff. There is a very pleasant patio area with a shared lounge where you can microwave food, get fresh coffee, and hot water. Great location, 5 minutes walk from the promenade, and on to the ferries.

The room from website is not real. The room was quite small and bad smell.

We had a totally awesome stay. Room was small but just enough to move around. sadly they donโ€™t serve breakfast which is a downside of it but we manage to find mcdonalds and jollibee around the area to get breakky. Their staff can speak fluent english which we didnโ€™t have a problem. we didnโ€™t need to deposit as well and check in was so quick. Our room was on 10th floor facing the harbour view. the walls on the bathroom have mold and the curtains need to be washed as dust is very visible. overall we will come back

Stayed 26 to 30 Jun 2019 in Harbour Bay hotel at 1 Mingden Avenue, Tsa Shim Tsui, Kowloon. I took a standard twin room for the single ole me, because I like spaciousness. At 1000 HKD a night, it was very cheap. Two twin beds, plenty of space, 1.5 cupboards, big TV, decent bathroom, nice in room amenities (slippers, shaving kit, hangers, working desk, usual toiletries, sewing kit, hair drier, plenty of plugs, good WiFi speed, small fridge, 2 AC vents, 2 radiation heaters, safety locker). The rates might have been low because of the ongoing protests, so do your research. The best thing about this hotel is it location - plenty of dining pubs shopping general hangout etc. nearby all in walking distance, and the MTR (HK ๐Ÿš‡) at 2 or 3 minutes walk as well. The rooms were neat and clean through and through. Only a few niches beyond the reach of a normal person's height had a layer of dust. Hotel has no restaurant btw - which doesn't really matter because there are literally 100s of joints within walking range of various types (Local, French, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, American Burgers). Great place for people watching too.

I come to HK regularly, however this was my first stay at the hotel. The room size itself is standard with others in this price range in HK. The toilet and shower set up is different, I feel its OK for a one person room, not ideal for sharing. The towels I received was pretty old and a few of them had some large holes in them, which is not good enough for any hotel. Bed is also smaller than other hotels in comparison. This area of TST is also quite lively, and staying on the 8th floor, I have to say it was very noisy, difficult to get a goods night sleep. Staff attitude wasn't great in general upon checking in and checking out. Won't be my option for staying on next trip.

Stayed there on 10th Dec for 6 days. Staff were kind and helpful. Room was a bit rundown but ok. Location is perfect as near K-11 Art mall and Nathan Road. Good place to stay for an affordable and good location hotel.

Room was a bit tiny and felt cramped for two people. Rest was good. I opted for the breakfast served in a nearby cafe which was good (long wait for the breakfast though)

I wouldn't recommend this place even though it is not horrible. Pros: it is well located, next to Nathan road and the ferry to central. It is clean and the bathroom is spacious. The rooms are decent for the price (for HK). Cons: the staff doesn't seem to care much. We booked a queen bed room and ended up with two beds, asked for a new room but didn't obtain any help, apologies or anything. Also, our room got flooded and we had to call the website we booked the room on to pressure them to change room. The rooms we got (I guess the cheapest?) are small but this is normal for HK. But the bathroom is badly conceived : there is no real wall closing the toilets and the shower and the water can get out of the shower is the evacuation doesn't work properly (which happened to us, flooding our stuff). Also terrible is the ventilation system. We were there in winter so we didn't need AC. When we removed the card we use to turn on electricity on the room, the AC was automatically turning on at full blast (I never saw that anywhere else, it is usually the other way around!). Also, it was not possible to set the system to hearing or any temperature higher than 20 C. We were so cold we had to turn off the system when we were in the room. But there is no air when it is off and then smell got bad in the rooms we got (a very typical smell in Asia of dry fish, not enjoyable). Conclusion : we had a bad experience there and the staff was lacking involvement and understanding. The rooms were OK for HK, but for the price we expected better (we stayed in better hotels cheaper in that city) especially with the problems we had (our room got flooded when we took a shower, the ventilation system was not working properly and there was a weird smell).

Bathroom is super weird. The toilet and shower are separated yet there's only 1 sliding door for both of them. So you can only use 1. The hanger for bathroom is also placed on the outer side of door. The main beds are nice, the workers are helpful and friendly, understand english well. The bed for 3rd person (we ordered family room) was kinda hard tho.

Booked a twin room city view. Good that it's in the corner so we had great light. Bed and pillows are comfortable. They separate the toilet and bath, and sink, which is okay. Has amenities like toiletries, slippers and towels. Clean room and hotel overall. One is paying for the amazing location as the hotel itself is very small and narrow but room size is as expected in Hong Kong. Just beside Holiday Inn where the airport express bus stops. Less than a minute walk to K11 elevator that brings you down to the TST station area, then a couple more minutes to the station/platform itself. Cons are walls may be too thin as there was a time we can hear our neighbor (so request a high, quiet or corner room). Reception staff not as friendly compared with other hotels.

Great Location and Service. Small but efficient room. Only issue was some flies in the bathroom. Otherwise the handy provided was useful. Would recommend.

Fabulous location and staff. Annie and Cynthia were so helpful on where to go and how to get there. Their restaurant suggestions were perfect. Simon was friendly, fast and professional in check out. The room was great and the bed very comfortable.

Small hotel but decent, good location for tourist. Few steps from subway, great variety of food nearby.
