Thursday Calamari special @ R59.00. Absolute bargain and the food is good and the beer fresh

The friendliness and client-orientated attention to hospitality by Bridget, the waitress to my table is worth a return visit. The food, drinks and follow-ups showed reflected true hospitality. Well done. True hostess.

Now if you ever wanted value for money. This is without a doubt some of SAs hidden gems. The food was incredible. Fresh and well prepared. The staff also are very professional. Facilities as very good and situated in a great area. Ample parking. You will not be disappointed.

We went to Dros, Okavango on the 5th of November 2020. We had the calamari, rice and chips combo followed by the cheese cake for dessert. Good alternatives in terms of the menu and also a good alcohol variety. Really nice atmosphere and Dros, Okovango also followed the COVID-19 safety checks by providing hand sanitiser, fever-checking as well as the necessary COVID-19 entrance form. The waiter provided excellent service and the food was really well-prepared. The area is also safe, and you can park close to the restaurant. There are car guards during the day-time as well. I can definitely recommend Dros, Okavango.

What an perfect meal enjoyed here at Dros Okavango. Thanks to Jaco and team for the perfect recommendations as the 500g Sirlion Madagascar streak was perfectly made at medium rare (just needed a bigger stomach and would have finished the last few bites) and also the Platter for one was so much more than expected and was so delicious. Plus with the great brandy special it all goes together al to well. Will definitely be back soon.

Had their Sunday lunch for R99. Got lovely chicken and mushroom soup. Fresh crusty bread with cheese or liver pate. Huge plate of roast and veggies. Great value. Very popular so booking essential.

Excellent service. Waitron was very attentive and rendered excellent service. Meal of the day was scrumptious and well presented, and affordable. Good to have notice that some restaurants still, besides abnormal conditions which is being adhered to, still try and deliver quality meals and service(at affordable prices). STILL THE BEST PLACE TO HAVE A GREAT STEAK@AN AFFORDABLE PRICE ON TUESDAYS.

Beautiful restaurant, welcoming staff,great food selection, food well prepared and on time. Was intrigued by the wine bottle ceiling which is amazing. Ample parking space and conveniently located close to supermarket in case you also want to do your shopping.

Very seldom are we disappointed here. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent. The food is well priced and the quality is generally good, once in a while we get a tougher than average steak but that's quickly addressed by the server. There's a lovely outdoor beer garden with a very safe play area for the kiddies. There plenty of free safe parking with easy access. We'll be back for sure.

Had a wonderful experience at this Dros Franchise last night with my partner for Date Night. We opted for the Tuesday Steak Special. I had the 300G and my partner the 500g. Cooked to perfection. Incredible service from all the Staff especially our waitress Loca. Absolutely amazing! We will be back!

Was taken to Dros for my birthday. James was a superb waiter. His explanation of both drinks and food menu to us was excellent. The food was delicious and the ambience was very pleasant and welcoming. Definitely going to be a regular

The staff are friendly and care about customer service. They made me a cappuccino that I ordered with cream, but they were out of cream. They made the effort to get me cream, and then the cappuccino was cold by the time the cream had arrived. Without even asking, they made me a fresh, warm cup with cream. They really went above and beyond. Their children's area is nice and safe. The standard of the food is adequate. We had breakfast, and for the price, it's not a bad deal. I would just not recommend the chicken livers as an add-on for breakfast because it costs R26, and it's only 2 small, little livers. It was delicious, however.

Great spot to entertain kids indoors while enjoying a meal. Wednesday R55 Burger with Chips ($2.75). Service can be slow on a busy night, but the friendly face makes up for the wait, no rush, no problem. Kiddies Cheese Pizza is ok, kid likes it🤷‍♀️

Dros is always nice to pop into for dinner on the odd occasion as they always have super specials, every day. The play area is great for kiddies and there is someone to watch over them while you enjoy your time. I do find the service is very slow and under staffed.

Awesome place with Awesome vibe. Regular musical performances and specials throughout the week. The absolute best Margherita pizza I have EVER had. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Lovely food and the service was tops.

Loved the cheese and mushroom steak. The customer service was impressive. Also, their prices are reasonable. I enjoyed both the restaurant and bar sections. Oh the bar section is well ventilated and spacious. Kyle is an awesome conversationalist. Will definitely go back.

The pizza was good but would be nice if they offered a vegan option as Checkers is right there so no need to even keep stock on hand. I wanted sushi as I saw it on the website but glad in way they don't do it (focus on what you good at) Service was great, the lady had just enough character. Very accommodating to allow us to watch the F1.

Nice place with a great variety of very tasty food. A playground to entertain the kids, with the option for them to make their own pizzas on request. Saturday nights offer live performances with the well situated outside bar, while kids eat for free on Sundays. Definitely worth the visit!

Sadly this Dros advertises meal specials in the restaurant that are not honoured, such as the 300g calamari for R59. I tried to order it and was told it's a Thursday special. All the food posters have days on them except the calamari creating the impression that it's a daily special. The Manager eventually attended to our party and advised that it was poor advertising on their part by that T&C's apply, and that he would still not honour the special, even after I insisted that he should. Other than that the food was ok. The place was practically empty so there was no vibe. I guess this is why this is the first time I have been to a Dros again in about 5 years. Not a good visit for an out of town traveller and after returning to a Dros after a long absence. Based on my experience at this Dros I shall continue to avoid those in GP.

So this is the only Dros still open in Cape Town. The vibes good. Very big. Big playground for the kids to play. Extremely cold in winter especially sitting at the play area outside. Covered area. Kindly get more outside heaters especially because the section is big. Place gets packed too.

Quite disappointed today... my almost 2 year old received undercooked chicken nuggets, which only arrived after we had to ask and after all the mains had been served. This was obviously returned and was only received cooked after all the mains were consumed... which means a very hungry toddler. We are still waiting for the mash that was supposed to come with the two eisbeins, even after asking for it many times... Not the waiter nor the the bartender was able to tell my husband which brandy they serve. The only positive was the two very friendly and helpful ladies working in the kiddies section. Thank you for their smiles and care.

Service was absolutely excellent. The service was friendly and had an amazing experience thanks to our waiter. We have ordered ribs and steak combo, crumber chicken burger and chips, and a calamari and steak combo our meat was perfectly grilled and the food was fresh. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Been there a few times and always get excellent service from friendly staff. The food is of outstanding quality and at good prices. A very inviting place to visit and you will always want to go back.

Food was great as always but it seems like service is slipping. Waiting times on food and drinks are crazy, maybe it was just a bad night, but use to great service and food at this restaurant even if they are crazy busy or quiet. Edit to post is a must!😁 was contacted by the manager and they said they will have a look into the service. They will definitely see me again. I will keep you all updated on my next visit.

It was a friends gathering occasion. I was disappointed with my meal as I had ordered my rump steak being cooked medium. I initially noticed that it was almost cooked as ordered. But the rest of the meat was red and blood running from the meat. I asked that they cooked it a little more in order for me to try and enjoy my meal. This was not a pleasant experience and I will not be going back there very soon.

Havent been to dros in years, friendly staff efficient service, however quality of food is not what I remember. on valentines day we thought we could walk iin, got to door, when your team leader realised we never had a booking, they had already made provision your team made effort to accommodate myself and my family, your service was awesome fast and efficient my husband ordered eisbine he saw special advertised on table which coincidently was your Monday special, I ordered mushroom burger, got cheese burger instead, the sauce wasnt good, ate chips which tasted as if it was slightly freezer burnt, dry inside, luckily it was small portion, didnt eat burger, again I need to mention that manager did bring me mushroom sauce however it was too late, cheese sauce was not good, my husband ordered a Windhoek draft , he recieved it in a castle draft glass, may seem irrelevant but sml detail like that is what sets you apart from your competitors....💡sml things count when we paid we realised we were charged a different amount, we didnt make a fuss because you have the right team in place, attitude is everything. When we had Dros in Cape gate, I spent my girls nights there, team building .. the food was what brought us bk and service which was bonus, as time went on, family took priority and girls night became fewer sadly... thsnk you Okavango dros for awesome service
