Fortunately, I discovered this location on Instagram, and I must say that I'm happy that I did. Just a heads up, making a reservation on weekends is preferable if you want to avoid the wait, which is usually 15-20 minutes at most. The interior is as magnificent as if you've stepped into a scene from The Witcher. Every employee, including the portion maker, the person who sells dukat, and the waitress, is dressed in a specific costume. Natalia greeted us and escorted us to our table, making the visit even more pleasant by being the best waitress ever. We were given a menu in English, the language preference I requested. Natalia gave us a detailed description of the history behind the establishment, the designated rooms in the tavern, as well as instructions on how to purchase and use ducat, the tavern's currency which gives you a special discount of 10% on the regular price. The price is incredibly reasonable to say the least. The food, drinks, and overall experience was incredible. Once again, a special thanks to Natalia for making the experience truly unforgettable, and I will undoubtedly recommend this location as a must-see in Kraków. I hope to return soon.

This was absolutely amazing. I don't remember the last time I was wowed when visiting a restaurant. The waitresses wear thematic clothing, there's many thematic decorations and the music is perfect. The whole vibe is just right for the Witcher experience. We went there around 15:30 and got lucky enough to only have to wait for about 15 minutes before we got in, but keep in mind that the waiting line can extend all the way up the stairwell leading into the tavern. I suggest you plan when it would be best to visit. They have a system where you can either pay with złoty or buy a currency called ducats (5zł per 1 ducat) to use that instead to pay for the meals. If you use ducats, you pay less money for your meals, so my suggestion is to decide what you want to get, calculate how many ducats you need and buy that many (If you want to get your money back from leftover ducats, YOU CAN, so no worries). The food was great. You can see what we had in the pictures and I would recommend the burger out of those two. However, aside from thematic serving platters, it wasn't anything special, and was quite pricey in my opinion. A pulled pork burger that I had was great, but nothing revolutionary, and the pork steak with potatoes was good (not the cabbage tho), but again, too pricey for what it is and nothing special. The soups were amazing and I absolutely recommend them, they aren't too pricey so that was good. There are many options when it comes to drinks, but I absolutely recommend getting the potions. They're very pricey for what they are, but it's a unique experience that I've never seen before and, in my opinion, the best part of the whole visit. You have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of potions and you get little bottles filled with various liquids, as well as instructions (English or Polish) on how to make it. The key ingredient is dry ice, which makes your potion bubble and smoke just like you were making a real one, and it's absolutely amazing. The potions tasted great as well. Potion of courage is my personal recommendation, and potion of wisdom as the second option. I would like to mention that my instructions were a bit confusing due to some colors on the bottles not matching with instructions, but I'd say that despite that, my experience is 10/10. Be prepared spend quite a bit if you want the soup, potion and main course. My personal bill was around 85zł. However, it's an absolutely unique experience.

Atmospheric as all get out. This underground Witcher themed or Mideival tavern themed bar was such fun to visit. You make your own cocktails at your table preferably after purchasing them with ducats the currency of the bar. It's gimmicky but alot of fun and you wind up with a very good discount if you play along with the scheme. Mixing the "elixirs" is really neat great for photos and videos and they're pretty tasty. We didn't get to try the food but it smelled delicious. There are a couple of large rooms done up very cozy with so many little details to catch the eye. People playing board games by candle light while sitting on fur covered benches eating hearty food drinking from smoking goblets really sets a mood. We'll absolutely come back and bring friends.

Great spot, really good food and drink. Staff are friendly and really helpful too. It was really busy the night we went so I'd recommend booking a table in advance. The elixir drinks were the highlight.

Fantastic atmosphere and service, a must-have stop for any Witcher fan! The prices are reasonable and the dishes are good. I suggest using their currency (ducat) as that is much fun and adds to the experience as well.

Such a fun and different place to go. Went in the evening with two couples and we had the best time. We all made our own cocktails at the table which was such a fun experience. The food was so nice, we had the sharing platters. We then did the axe throwing and archery after. It was such a cheap night out for all of that stuff too. Very worth it.

Absolutely amazing would highly recommend! Such a cool location and service was good as well as the food, the cabbage leaves was okay but would recommend the burger! The potion/cocktail making was so fun! And you can do Archery and axe throwing if you want!

Amazing place with atmosphere from one of the most popular novel of polish writer “The Witcher”. Totally recommend this place, the interior is so close to the taverna from the book or serial so you can feel it on your own skin. Good and tasty menu with different type of dishes and my favourite part is a drinks menu exactly various elixirs which you should make by yourself. Also you can pay by card or cash and you can use special currency - ducats.

People over exaggerate on tiktok about how good this place is. Went to try the famous potion cocktails and was very unimpressed. While the making of it is cool and something that you don’t experience a lot of places. It’s certainly nothing to write home about. Took forever for a server to even come to us to order. And the cocktail itself wasn’t that great, the beer was nearly undrinkable. But maybe you will find something you like!

What a unique and fantastic dining experience. You’re transported into a different era, a fantasy world where there are potions and elves. The food quality and quantity was excellent, I specifically enjoyed the dumplings and the sharing platters.

Great experience, so atmospheric. Even the waitresses are dressed like elves. Have zloty with you, there is a trader inside who trades zloty for theri own currency called Ducat. They have 10%off if you pay with Ducats and you can take some as a souvenir. The food was good enough.

Good restaurant with amazing atmosphere. You feel like in a movie. But meals are limited. I would like to see a lot of choices and their some pictures on menu. Will be better if all workers dressed. Also there are some activities inside restaurant. It was adding special value to restaurant. Main minus was that waiter was a little bit unknowledgeable. Because I asked is there tomato inside soup and she said no and brought me fully tomato soup 😅

Had an awesome time here with my wife on her birthday. It was something she wanted to do because it looked cool, but I really appreciated because I am a fan of the Witcher. Service, drinks, food and atmosphere were all amazing. Also had some fun with Archery after dinner. Would definitely recommend people to come here.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. If you like the witcher you'll love this! The atmosphere is amazing, felt so involved. Server's were in character also and very friendly, offering advice if needed. Food was delicious and the making your own cocktails was very good! Loved how hands on the experience was.

tavern concept is so good. as for food, the grilled pork and dumplings were very very good. cabbage was very large but still delicious. we could use better instructions as to how to play the games, though.

The food was delightful. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to! We had the dumplings, soup, meat wrapped in cabbage and the pulled pork burger! The theme is medieval and it really makes you relax 👌🏼🤩

Super nice experience. For Witcher/GoT etc. fans it’s a perfect place to have a cocktail. Mixing the liquids with a dry ice makes you feel like alchemist :) Paying with “local” currency, dukaty, is a very nice touch. Definitely worth stopping by. Just prepare to wait in line to get in.

One of the greatest experiences ever! Wait time was about 30 minutes but it’s worth it. Tasty food, amazing experience with drinks and environment. Staff wears cosplay, all Witcher related. Just so cool. Whenever I’m in krakow again I’m coming here again.

Great place to transport yourself to a magical place taken from fantasy medieval games and books. Totally recommended! Apart from the great experience, a great value for money too.

Everything was brilliant, theme atmosphere great, people were freindly. Speak English and English language menus. Service was great, as above. Food out of this world amazing, Potion themed drinks was amazing. After all that you shoot some bows or throw axes.

A bit long wait to get in, but absolutely worth it. Amazing service and the atmosphere is beyond belief. The appetisers were great, though the meat in the main course was slightly dry. For the price however, I'm not complaining

Interesting place, food ok. While the concept of using coins to pay, waitresses dressed and behaving like in Wiedzmin world, the result falls flat. It is a bit more expensive than similar places, food is ok but nothing remarkable, and the atmosphere is nice but not as well-created as it could. Perhaps copyrights issues prevent this place from using more names and symbols from Wiedzmin books or games. Pity because behind this tavern there is passion. But the execution is not there yet. Go once for the different atmosphere or to spend a different evening with friends.

Ich bin nach Krakau gefahren, um ein Freund aus der Gegend zu besuchen. Die Taverne sollte nur ein Zwischenpunkt sein, um danach weiter mit Sightseeing zu machen. Aber leider war es zu gut, und wir sind dort über 3 Stunden verblieben. Zuerst vorab, ich liebe die Videospiele und Bücher in diesem Universum. Direkt nach Eintritt hatte ich einfach, dass Gefühl dort zu sein. Das Ambiente und das Personal sogar verkleidet... Einfach nur Top. (Siehe Bilder) Ort an sich als wäre ich im the Witcher Universum, Personal als Elven verkleidet und eigene Währung als wäre das ein eigener RPG. Essen war super auch nicht lange gewartet für die Anzahl an Menschen dort Vorort. Aber die Hauptattraktion in diesem Bereich waren die Getränke, welche als Elixier bezeichnet wurden. Man hat Zutaten bekommen und konnte es selber erstellen (siehe Bilder) Außerdem konnte man Bilder auf einem Thron machen, irgendwelche Schwerter oder Axt dabei nutzen. Und zu guter Letzt auch ein mini Training mit Axt und Bogenschießen. Ich kann diesen Ort nur empfehlen falls ihr in Krakau seid!!

Wonderful atmosphere, truly well invested on the theme. We ordered the dumplings with sweet cheese, the Strength Elixir and one of the dishes with chicken and bacon. The dumplings were good, the elixir experience amazing but sadly the chicken was cold. Most of the personnel was nice and helpful expect one of them whom was pretty rude. My biggest issue was the lack of organisation, as they brought the elixir in polish instead of English and the waitress went away before I got the chance to tell her, there was no staff in the shop and we had no cutlery (I don't blame the staff, most of them were really busy). You'll probably have to wait a bit to enter but the line moves quick. Overall a good experience and would definitely visit again.

The food was excellent. We got chicken and vegetable shashliks. The server misplaced our glass of wine to a different table, and just grabbed it and put it back to us after 30 minutes. Seriously? I wasn’t happy to drink wine from someone's table. She should have brought a new glass!

Sure, it might be a place for tourists but I’ve gotta say I fell right into the trap. The atmosphere is unmatched, the food was good and well priced (if you use their currency) and the drinks were super fun! As a bartender, I do wish there were more drinks (elixirs) to mix and I wish the flavors were more diverse. Still, it’s a neat place to take a friend or a date that I’d highly recommend!

Stopped over while on holiday, I have never had more pleasant experience in my life. It's like being transported to another world entirely. The food, service and atmosphere were amazing rest assured I will be returning next time im in Poland.

Great and accommodating staff! We got lucky as a large group to get a spot on busy Saturday. The sharing platter is enough for 4 people, well worth it. Can be a bit warm inside in the summer The elixir of wisdom didn’t seem to do much for me.

Unexpectedly passed through this taverna and it has uniquely themed ambience located underground. Interesting concept — having their own currency and the ladies are dressed up nicely as well. I ordered pulled chicken, it is not the best I had but enjoyed the experience there.

First it just seemed to be some sort of a cellar ruin. But then you arrive and it is magical. The personnel, the whole atmosphere, the theme, all the ideas to keep you entertained... I can't explain it, everyone MUST see it once. It is really incredible.

Are you kidding me? A bar/restaurant in the theme of The Witcher? I went here on a Thursday night. There was a very short line and we got in immediately. The waitress (Alex, who I shall praise for the engagement she played) was delightful and extremely fun to be around. I had a pulled chicken sandwich which was excellent -although I would have enjoyed a bit more "punch" to the taste-, the roast potatoes were delicious. Cocktails are fun and entertaining: you get a set of bottles and ampoules with the various ingredients and instructions. They also have their own "internal" optional currency, the Dukats: you can buy Dukats (minimum 30, one dukat is 2.50zloty), and prices have a small discount if you use these. It was a very fun experience and I'll make sure to visit again if I'll be again in Krakow (I pinky promised, after all).
