IG: @kamelja I try to stay as honest as possible to keep my integrity in my reviews and I feel its rare I write that i do not recommend a place. As much as I was hoping for this to be a true Michelin guide recommended experience, it was really sub par. It was way overpriced especially considering the service charge at 12.5% — for what we got, it was not nearly worth this surcharge. Starting from the beginning - the service was simply poor. We were shown where we can hang one coats, but no one helped with getting them taken to the coat check section. The servers showed us the table but no one helped us get seated. Food wise — we got two tasting menus (we weren’t allowed to have one person with a tasting menu and another ordering separate dishes). The dishes were decent but nothing was outstanding. The only one I’d highlight is the lamb — but even that one was not as soft as it should be. The cod fish was too dry. The cod was just mediocre. The lobster ravioli’s dough was too hard. The dessert — underwhelming. The pastry tasted old and didn’t even crack as you expected it to. Then the wines that we were oversold on: with the glasses priced as bottles you’re used to. I don’t want to sound cheap, I splurge on food, but the meal’s quality and the price at the end with the barely mediocre service was more than disappointing. I also said I am chocolate intolerant yet at the end we got two portions of chocolate petit-fours. This for me is a huge no no. And speaking about the wine, it also left us a bit surprised. We told our server we’ll be ordering a La carte, not wine pairing, and we didn’t see anyone come to ask us about what we’d like till our starters were about to show up. Also, need to mention the restaurant was almost empty — only 3 tables including ours were taken. We left really underwhelmed, especially since someone else recommended this place to us and we had high expectations. Plus, again, this place is on the Michelin guide. It feels like the quality might have dropped since the judges visited the place. I truly regret leaving so much money here, it didn’t deserve it. I will say though, the lamb dish was the best from the whole menu.

I was very disappointed in our meal and overall experience, especially considering our group of 6 was the only party in the restaurant for 80% of the time we were there. It felt as if the service was disappointed that only 1/2 our party drank wine and that we were not choosing the tasting menu. (I have food allergies and ruined it for the group) There were only a few cocktails offered (one of which was not available at the time) but there was not one I was interested in. I asked for a different cocktail and was told “No, we do not do that here. We are a wine restaurant.” I was then presented with the cocktail menu but the server then walked away with it. We spent well over $1,000 dollars at the restaurant and between the service, food, flexibility and overall experience, it was not worth it. The food was good and the presentation was beautiful but not for the price and experience.

Fantastic find, buried into Krakow's old town, it's a hidden gem for seafood specialties. Very kind and accommodating staff, great bread, reasonable prices, great lobster and wine selection. Service was definitly a highlight, dishes are served all at the same time with a good description. Only let down was the beef tenderloin that tasted a little too gamey. Otherwise thumbs uo

Overrated and overpriced. This place has a lot of potential, but really have to do some serious work to be able to get "up there". They prices are way to high compared to what you get. I know a lot of better restaurants that have better experience at a lower price. The waiter was very nice and bring the rating up, but the somellier was arrogant and shallow.

Beautiful restaurant and great romantic atmosphere, the staff was nice and polite, although felt like they kind of don't like our table in particular in comparing to others, which felt a little weird. The tasting menu was surely interesting , a lot of different and original dishes. Nice surprises like the delightful pumpkin biscuit and more. But from the whole 11 courses - the absolute best , and our favorite was the deer sirloin with black truffle which was REALLY amazing from the first to the last bite of it, and only by itself was worth the whole visit . Mushroom soup and Lobster-chorizo dumplings we're incredibly special and surprising as well. The wines deserve a separate noticing since each pairing was better than the last and I found myself sometime expecting it more than the dish and there were times when it even saved it. A real treat. The price is surely not cheap and even a little expensive comparing to other similar restaurants and considering that most of the courses don't share the same level of excitement. That said I believe wine pairing is a must here and worth to pay the extra. I only wish I could forget the taste of the last dessert, which was .. very unique and unforgettable. And from the looks of the neighbor tables it seemed like they share the feeling))

The place is amazing, the service and the staff are super kind and the food was exquisit, so before to the desert i would give 5 stars but after the desert I can't it's not on the same level, it wasn't even sweet with onion pure sincerely we wait more for the last dish. They charge in the bill the starter and the sparkling wine welcome. I think should be include in the price. The worst was the desert i'm sorry but i'm sure that you could solve it easily.

Had the chef's tasting menu with my wife. Excellent service and wine pairing, delicious food. The starters are great, scallops as well, the lamb chop is perfect, but the lobster consommé and the sturgeon fillet are average for us. It end up around 600pln per person with wine pairing, definatly worth the price. Highly Recommanded.

I really looked forward to this food tasting. My wife and i choose the 7 course menu. The food was beautifully decorated, the service was exceptional, and some of the courses were very unique. That said i was a little disappointed. Some of the dishes were bland and none of the dishes were stunning. It was too expensive, so i would give value for money 2 out of 5 stars I almost feel bad for writing this because the personel were so kind and professional, but i go fine dining for the food not the service. I would not recommend this. Sorry.

All I can say is wow. Exceptional service and the food was amazing. I recommend the Goose leg and the beetroot soup with dumplings.

I got invited and to be honest was hesitant to go, as am not into Michelin star restaurants he my bad experience in them, yet this was exceeded my expectation, amazing food & tastes, everything was just perfect, the food, the wise selection and the friendly staff. They even made changes to the food due to my allergies. The only thing that we didn’t like, their menu is too complicated to read, hence we were provided the small simple version. Overall, great experience.

Outstanding Michelin Star worthy restaurant with amazing food and wines along with outstanding noninvasive but extremely informative male waitstaff. Simply but beautifully decorated. Wine pairing suited the tasting menu. Also, although usually not done, a modified menu for a non-oyster eating guest of ours was prepared. Reservations essential.

Fantastic food, very nice service and great wine menu (huge by the glass offer!) We didn't try the lobster but everything we did try was fantastic! Great Caviar, amazing Foie Gras and fantastic meat quality!

This Michelin Star restaurant is stellar! I dined at this wonderful culinary establishment on September 19. From the time I arrived to the end of my meal, my experience was absolutely incredible! What made it extra special was my server, Karolina, was an absolute doll; very friendly, knowledgeable of the cuisine and such a pleasure to talk with! I highly recommend this extraordinary restaurant for a very relaxing evening with high quality food and drink! What a way to finish off my amazing trip to Krakow! Cheers!

This is one the best restaurants, IMHO, anywhere. Strikingly gorgeous flavors, amazing, knowledgeable service (they even have the proper Riedels for each wine). We were flabbergasted on randomly walking in one afternoon.

Great experience! Restaurant itself is nice, but not overly elegant compare to other competitors. We have been served mostly by Michal, who was friendly, attentive and recommended us the dishes which were excellent. Liver parfait, halibut, duck and tipsy cake... all done to absolute perfection! Pietro, the sommelier was an absolute star. Knowledgeable, professional but also very friendly and kind! Definitely someone who cares and loves the job his doing. Many thanks for recommendation of Saint Lauren! 👍🏻 Place worth visiting and coming back! 5 star all the way!

Unfortunately quite the disappointing experience. When arriving staff quickly let us know that we had 5minutes to decide if we wanted tasting menu, or we would have to go a la carte. Never a smile, not eager to give reccomendations and seems oddly annoyed that one of us was pregnant and were to not have the wine package included. The wine package costed more than food itself, and pairing was only a 3 out of 5. Only one wine seemed to go perfectly with our dishes, which is disappoint at this level. Had to ask for refill of water and was generally unavailable throughout sitting, despite being 5 people serving approx. 4tables.

The food is simply amazing and will visit Alberti a some day again. I would be however more enthusiastic if the interior, especially restroom area, could follow the quality of food as now I find a big mismatch between those two unfortunately:/ My overall score of 5 refers only to the food which is indeed exceptional!

Albertina in Krakow is a culinary gem that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant exuded warmth and sophistication, and it was a delightful surprise to secure a table without a reservation. The impeccable service throughout the evening added to the overall charm of the dining experience. For appetizers, the DEER TENDERLOIN TARTARE stole the spotlight with its harmonious blend of flavors. The rich notes of black truffle danced alongside the velvety veal marrow, while the egg yolk provided a luscious creaminess. The mustard seeds added a delightful pop of texture, making every bite a symphony of taste. Equally memorable were the DUMPLINGS WITH FOIE GRAS AND PRAWN. The tender dumplings were a canvas for the luxurious combination of foie gras and succulent prawn. The mint-tarragon sauce imparted a refreshing herbal note, beautifully complementing the sweetness of sugar snap peas. Moving on to the main courses, the STURGEON FILLET showcased the delicate flavors of the fish, masterfully paired with pickled leek, sorrel, and watercress. This dish was a delightful balance of lightness and depth, leaving a delightful lingering taste. The SEA BREAM BAKED IN SALT was a true showstopper, arriving at the table in a spectacle of flavor and presentation. Carved from salt and cleaned before me, the fish was beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The accompaniments of cauliflower, truffle, mushrooms, and fennel added layers of complexity, making it a dish that will remain etched in my memory. Throughout the meal, the sommelier's expertise in pairing Polish and French wines with each course elevated the dining experience to new heights, further enhancing the flavors of the dishes. To end the gastronomic journey, the PINE MOUSSE with Parsley brûlée and Almonds was an inventive and delightful dessert. The mousse was exquisitely light and airy, while the parsley brûlée added a surprising twist, beautifully offsetting the sweetness. Paired with a Polish ice wine, it was a memorable finale that left me wanting more. In conclusion, Albertina delivers an extraordinary dining experience that combines artistry, creativity, and skill. Each dish reflects a meticulous attention to detail, and the restaurant's ability to seamlessly blend Polish and French influences is a testament to their culinary prowess. If you seek a dining adventure that tantalizes the senses and leaves you with cherished memories, Albertina is the place to indulge.

I had dinner at this restaurant. To be honest, I hadn't expected it to be a good restaurant until starting the course. However, dinner in the restaurant was one of my best Kraków memories now. Because all the dishes were very delicious and complicated construction's tastes. Especially, I was attracted to dessert. I'd never eaten such one before; really delicate.

Fantastic, Michelin worthy food. Excellent service. We had foie gras, lobster ravioli, duck and lamb, as well as a bottle of Riesling and paid about 650zl. So not cheap, but worth it.

To sum it up in three words: Michelin quality restaurant. Had a pleasure of visiting last week with a group of friends. Had a good time. Great ambience, awesome food, good vibes. Everything was well presented and explained. Wine pairings spot on. Hats off to the chef and good luck in the future. Will be back.

Exceptional. Food exquisite - wonderfully balanced and made more special by the excellent wine pairings. Again, exceptional service by both our waiter and sommelier. Couldn't have had a more wonderful meal ...

Culinary perfection achieved through masterful cooksmanship, insightful wine pairing and well executed service. Not a single false note from start to finish. We had dinner for two, both of us trying either seafood or meat-centered à la carte choices, and the Albertina managed to deliver the single best experience possible in both cases. The outstanding selection of wines and liquors would be well worth a reservation by themselves. Of course there is a price tied to such places (although it is here reasonnably high), but having traveled over 60 countries and tried many fine dining experiences, this is definitely THE single best restaurant I've ever had the honor to visit. They even lent us an umbrella when we left as we'd forgotten ours, how more perfect can they get ? Don't hesitate, book. I'm not even paid to say that, but they don't need to, this is the kind of place which you'll feel compelled to tell all your friends about.

One of my favourite fine dining restaurants in Krakow. Service is always top notch, great food (love lobster and oysters!) and very good selection of wines. Sommelier has always been super helpful! Visiting them again on Thursday, can’t wait for the best food experience!

This is a fine dining restaurant and it is an experience to eat there, especially when one's not accustomed to it. Servers in white gloves, an actual sommelier and tiny portions (which is a plus when you take the tasting menu - 7 courses is a lot). All that is very charming and for a moment lets you feel like the 1%. When it comes to food, it was really interesting, some courses were better than others, but there was nothing that didn't taste well. On the other side, even the best dish - deer sirloin - wasn't entirely spectacular as I would've expected from a fine dining establishment - though that may be my plebeian taste showing ;) it was still very, very tasty and I would definitely be back for more if I could afford it ;)
