A very memorable dining experience, this beauty can be justifiably classified as an intimate late night restaurant, barely a stones throw from the awe inspiring castle complex. Ambience is matched only by the extremely fine fare and expert one on one service. Totally stripped bare of all pretence. Most meals you soon forget about afterwards. That won't happen here. A sleeper to be sure. Outstanding!!

We happened upon Pod Nosem by chance and we were so glad we did. This restaurant was a highlight of our stay in Poland. The atmosphere was good, the food was good, but our server Anastasia made our night. She was so fun and made our dining experience exceptional. The dinner choices that I would recommend are the traditional cabbage rolls, Gołąbki z mięsem wieprzowym i sosem borowikowym. These are on the first course menu. You need to order these!!! They are a staple in Poland and DELICIOUS!! . Also, on the entree menu I would recommend the Veal breast with fried sour young cabbage. It was tender and flavorful. This establishment has accommodations on the top of the restaurant, which we were able to view. Next time we visit Krakow, we are definitely booking our stay here. I highly recommend making Pod Nosem one of your dinner choices while in Krakow!

Pod Nosem is one of the best traditional polish cuisine you can have in Krakow. It is same time traditional but also they have their special touch on every meal we had. Marius was our guide during this extraordinary time. He is extremely professional and has a lot of knowledge in every aspect of the dinner but also wine and alcohol selections. We had amazing time and we truly recommend this place.

Nice Polish restaurant. Delicious food and an attentive service. Prices are ok, not the best value for money in the whole city but with this great location and the direct view to the Wawel it’s fair. (I don’t care if I pay 5€ more in total, the total package need to be good which it was). For a typical Polish dinner it’s a good option to choose Pod Nosem.

Delicious food, very well thought out dishes, both tasty and visually pleasing. The menu is inspired by traditional Polish cuisine, a light and modern version. We liked it so much we came here twice during a short trip. The design is reminiscent of medieval Polish castles, lovely colours, cosy. Service is friendly, we felt very comfortable here. Here’s what we had for our lunches:
Zurek
Beef Pierogi
Mushroom broth
Salad with sheep cheese and pumpkin
Duck breast with pumpkin, apple, black rice
Deer fillet with chestnuts and kale
& various desserts

CHRONIC DISH ALERT. 70 zloty for this, back in Manchester I’d be paying £18 for this hands down AND it’s Michelin star. I can certainly see why, as the pig knuckle was so succulent and melting on my tongue. Potatoes were perfectly cooked and the cabbage at the bottom had absorbed the pork sauce, yet giving it a light balance. Absolutely superb, bravo to the chef. My partner did order the Zander and wasn’t as impressed however still satisfied enough. I’m keen to try the duck next time I’m up. Two mains, two beers cost £37. Not bad at all.

Incredible view of the Wawel Castle from the outdoor eating space! Food, wine, and service were all good. If you want the tasting menu, make sure you let them know during your reservation.

Located just under the castle. And it offers a beautiful view towards castle. The food are all delicious, local Rose wine was remarkable. The only minus was the service, a bit undertrained. The bathroom was awfully dirty, which is unbearable for a such high standard restaurant.

If it was possible I would give this place 6 stars ⭐️ When my wife and I tried the first bite of our entrees our immediate reactions were both “Wow!”. She had the fish and I had the venison. We both agreed this was one of the best meals we had ever had. My wife said she has never had better fish on her life. The waiter was also very knowledgeable about wine pairing and offered me a few tastes of some Polish wines. These were also fantastic. The prices were quite reasonable for the quality of food.

One of the best meals of my life. Amazing location and atmosphere. Our waiter was incredibly helpful and suggested the best wine pairings. Deer sirloin was insanely good.

The food in this restaurant is mega tasty. But, the service leaves us to expect better. Waiting too long for the waiter (when the restaurant is not even half full), cracked cups... I had to look for a waiter to pay. Strange for a Michelin-starred establishment. Since I like good food, I can't allow the service to lower my rating below 4 stars - they cook very, very, very tasty food in this restaurant.

PLN 1,200 for 4 people . The salad is not tasty. The asparagus was not completely cleaned, there were parts that could not be chewed and swallowed. There were parts of the salad that looked rotten. The waitress does not pay attention to communication with cutlery. My next dish was venison tenderloin, the meat was tasty but the green pasta was not. In general, I recommend this dish. But this is an ordinary restaurant with high prices. The wine was delicious, very rich in taste. The toilet did not have a pleasant smell, it was dirty, there was no moisturizing hand cream, there was an empty jar.

Came here with my partner and 6 month old baby. As it was a sunny day, we sat outside with the view of Wawel Castle. Didn't know what to expect, but I enjoyed my Earl Grey tea. Partner had beef tartar for starters and duck for main. I had deer. Delicious all round. There was only one unisex toilet and no baby change facility. So bear in mind if coming with a baby. Or leave the baby with a babysitter and come here to enjoy the ambience and food.

Great location, service absolute spot on! Such a nice place! We had coffee, which is very reasonable price and a lot cheaper than on the Main Square. We also had desserts, lovely creamy cheesecake with chocolate crust and frozen cherry dessert, which was basically homemade ice cream with cherries. All decorated with fresh fruits and flowers, served on some beautiful dishes. Highly recommend!

First of all the location is perfect. The waiter was nice. The minus is a food. The tasete of food was medium, lets say nothing special. The lamb was hard to chew and beans were practicaly raw. The food did not have the character to make this place special. Today, the cook has had no inspiration. Nothing special.

The place is very close to Wawel, I tasted Beef Tartare. Very nice service and delicious food in a good atmosphere.

This was an amazing experience. The food was amazing and so was the wine pairings. Everything was fresh in season and our server, Sebastian was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. I got there at 7 PM with my brother and sister and before we even knew it, we had been there 2.5 hours. Our appetizer highlight was the beef tartar! It was incredible. And the smoked trout was excellent as well, I just have a soft spot for tartar. We had the pierogi with sweetbreads, the summer borscht, and the young cabbage soup to start. The main courses we had were the duck, the cod, and the beef cheek. Our favorite was the duck with foie gras. It was perfectly cooked and it was very nice foie gras! The restaurant is situated with a brilliant view of the wawel castle on a surprisingly quite road where there are only pedestrians allowed. 10/10 experience!

Touristic attraction. Super pricy selection of wine or bad ones, simple food not fine dining and disgusting service. Never ever again

Had the lunch menu-deal, the soup first and chicken for seconds. It was good, but tasting portions, wouldn’t go if you’re really hungry. I’d come back to try other things on the menu though.

We had the absolute best time at Pod Nosem on Monday, November 8. This was our first dinner out in Poland together with a bunch of friends. Anastasia, our server, is an incredible person and an amazing, fun, and effervescent presence. We would highly recommend going to Pod Nosem and having a great meal!
