I
was
the
doctor's
patient
from
2016
to
2022.
During
the
first
visit
in
2016,
the
doctor
noticed
that
I
had
excessive
wear
on
the
chewing
and
incisal
surfaces
of
my
teeth.
After
a
short
interview,
the
doctor
said
that
the
reason
for
this
condition
was
that
I
had
been
using
toothpaste
without
fluoride
for
a
long
period
of
time.
I
took
note
of
this
and
started
using
normal
toothpaste.
Unfortunately,
the
doctor
did
not
suggest
diagnosing
the
problem
of
tooth
wear
in
more
detail,
nor
did
he
propose
a
method
of
curing
this
condition.
And
I
was
still
his
patient,
because
I
thought
that
everything
was
normal,
since
I
had
no
pain
due
to
this
clash
and
since
the
doctor
did
not
tell
me
to
do
anything
about
it,
I
relied
entirely
on
his
assessment.
And
that
was
a
mistake.
Recently,
I
went
to
another
dentist
because
I
had
to
wait
too
long
to
see
the
doctor.
It
turned
out
that
in
many
teeth,
the
abrasion
of
the
enamel
is
the
cause
of
dental
caries
developing
inside.
Because
the
tooth
has
lost
its
natural
protection.
In
2
teeth,
caries
has
developed
to
such
an
extent
that
there
is
a
risk
of
requiring
root
canal
treatment.
Most
importantly,
I
learned
that
the
main
cause
of
tooth
wear
is
not
the
use
of
fluoride-free
toothpaste,
but
an
incorrect
bite
that
needs
to
be
treated
orthodontically.
To
sum
up,
I
have
a
lot
of
resentment
towards
the
doctor
for
misdiagnosing
my
teeth,
for
not
informing
me
about
the
effects
of
excessive
wear
and
for
downplaying
my
problems
as
a
patient.
I
regret
that
I
blindly
believed
in
the
doctor's
professionalism
and
that
I
did
not
go
to
another
specialist
earlier
to
ask
for
his
opinion
on
tooth
wear.
