For me the museum wasn't that interesting as I am not a big fan of the history of Poland, but you can't buy a ticket only to the hill. They accept international students card, so the entry price is a little bit lower (15 PLN). The view from the hill is breathtaking, I think if you are in Prague for more than 1 day, you definitely should visit it. The public transport is relatively good to this place (on weekends the bus 100/101 goes every 30 minutes), even if the hill is far from the city centre.

This is not just another mound. Entrance to the mound includes the museum - and the museum here tells the story about Kościuszko, Poland's war hero, and why he deserves a mound named after him - and it's fascinating. The exhibitions are chronologically laid out and easy to follow and understand with Engkish descriptions. Once you are done with the museum, climb the mound and enjoy the great view from the top. Highly recommended if you want to learn more about Poland's history and the interesting role Kościuszko played in international politics. There is a public bus (nr 100 I think) that goes right up to the mound once an hour. The cafe has a good variety of snacks and drinks.

Such a beautiful place with magnificent views . You have the amazing Kopiec but around it you can also go for walks . It's very peaceful and gorgeous . It is uphill so pay attention to it if it's something that's difficult for you. You can go by car or by foot . It's totally worth it to do it by foot on a sunny day because you can appreciate all the views from different angles. We had a family pass for 40zł which is around 10€ for the 3 of us .

Kopiec kosciuszki is a very particular fortified mound that is surplombing the city of Kraków. In fact, from the top of it you can see the city having a view like no one else has except, maybe, few birds. It’s very original and uncommon to have preserved such a typical infrastructure from the knights era in a megalopolis like that. There are buses that drops you in the closest neighborhood and then you have to climb on foot a bit. The entrance to be able to see krakow from the top of the hill isn’t free however, but cheap enough you should plan that during your trip. Going to the top takes a bit of courage, I don’t recommend for people afraid of heights, especially because the road that goes to the top isn’t secured sideways. If you slide, you fall. It’s as simple as that. Like during the era it has been built. That’s why is better to limitate to a number of persons maximum allowed on the top of the mound at the same time. Crossing people while climbing and others going down can be tricky because of that, but the view is definitely worth the way up

Great place for a walk, family time and even having a drink or Len made at a restaurant or café with a view to the Krakow from above. There is a museum now. Only one minus that the only entrance is via this museum, and normal ticket regardless you want to go to the museum or not is 20 zł. So basically if you want to hike to a mount only now you pay 20 zł per person. The museum is totally worth of visiting. And at the end there is a great café with nice deserts. You can get to this place now but two buses: 100 from Salwator and 101 from Rondo Grundwaldzie.

Historic, fortified mound located in a scenic park not far from the center of Krakow. You'll need to take a tram to the park, then it's a mile, mile and a half hike to the mound and the fort that surrounds it. There are a couple of restaurants, a café, and a small museum inside the fort. The views from the top are excellent, you can even see the Tatra mountains on a clear day. There is a small fee to enter the grounds but well worth it in my opinion.

Get up there and get the view over Kraków. Its a nice panorama, you will get nowhere else in this town. Whatever really is beneath that hill, it was a lot of manpower to create this impressive Starfortress and its hill. To complete the little trip, i can recommend a Zapiekanka and a Zyviec in the Rooftop Bar at the site. Its quiete nice, but beware of the doves... ;-)

Please take the bus that takes you up.. don’t climb the way on foot, it’s so tiring especially with hot weather! One of the four mounds in Krakow. Built over a hill covered with woods, so you cannot see anything but trees till you reach the top. There is a museum as well in the walls that surround the mound. There are tickets to get up the mound and the museum for 24 pln

We went within 20min via Uber here. You pay 5 Euro per person to visit the museum and the mound. View is great towards Krakow.

A great discovery in Krakow! I think it's a shame that more publicity isn't given to this place, which is well worth the detour! You can also visit the Kościuszko Museum (Polish national hero) at the same time. The only drawback is that you have to pass through the museum to access the hill. Student price: 18 Zloty. Recommended!

Around 3 euros of entrance, the Museum looks amazing, not Soo long but very rich of story and interaction. The hill is amazing, but you can enter it only after seeing the Museum because it's a part of it.

Convenient transportation by bus or own car (parking right at the spot or another free one 350m away from entrance). Nicely prepared exhibition on Kościuszko's life before you actually climb the mound. Highly recommend to visit during or after windy day for better visibility (because of the smog in Kraków). The view is imo better than from Cracow's Eye. There's also quite fine kid's playground in front of the fort in case your youngsters need one. As a plus - nice discount on entering with children.

Good place to see. Nice panoramic view not only from the top, but also throughout the way to top. Easy to walk up but if it's too sunny, we will get tired soon. Hence if possible, plan on partially cloudy day.

Fee is 20z normal, 15z student/discounted. You start going through a mini museum about the life of Kosciuszko that’s cool, but not a bit underwhelming. Afterwards you get to enjoy a really great view if you catch a good day, such as the one we had. The trail is an interesting design, not a spiral. At the top there’s a lookout onto Kraków with 2 binoculars that are 5z for a couple minutes. At the end there’s an optional wax museum that is historical but the figures look awful. Wax figures in general usually look bad, though. There’s a cafe with a nice view but is overpriced, as per tourist spot tradition. Overall a great view and it should be in the top 10 things to see in Krakow. Getting there is easy but time consuming, requiring a tram+bus from the center. Recommend weekdays in the early afternoon hours to minimize crowds.

It's quite a walk from the centre of Krakow which is pleasant on a dry day. The museum itself is quite informative and it seems a popular place to visit. It doesn't take long to climb the mound itself and there are good views from the top. There was also a wax work museum in the grounds around the mound which we stumbled upon. It was a good way to spend a day when things were closed, and nice to see quieter parts of Krakow.

(Translated by Google) I have passed that many times and the case or guide must draw our attention to this place dividing people into an inferior sort of unworthy of normal life in the fascist sense of the world. It is not easy in this bustling place for a moment of reflection or prayer, but it is worth giving coldness to those who survived and gave testimony to the truth. (Original) Przechodziłem tamtędy wiele razy i przypadek lub przewodnik musi nam zwrócić uwagę na to miejsce dzielące ludzi na gorszy sort niegodnych normalnego życia w faszystowskim rozumieniu świata. We walked from Museum Narodowe aside a very long grassland/park. It was very enjoyable. The entrance is 15 zloty for students. You have to visit a small museum exhibition that was quite uninteresting. The view from the top was enjoyable and there weren't many people. I suggest you to enjoy the view longer by having a coffee or food at the terrace.

Review for Kościuszko Mound: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kościuszko Mound isn't just a vantage point, but a journey through time and perspective. As you ascend, each step brings the breathtaking beauty of Krakow closer, unfolding panoramas that encapsulate the city's rich tapestry. The summit offers an unparalleled view, a silent tribute to the spirit of Krakow that echoes in the winds. However, the surprises don't just stop at the vista. The on-site museum adds a layer of depth to the visit, intertwining history and culture in an immersive experience. Krakow's allure lies in its multifaceted charm, and the mound stands as a testament to this, offering both visual and intellectual delight. In our journeys, whether exploring cities or self, it's essential to have various perspectives. The view from the top often provides clarity, much like how proper guidance can illuminate our paths. As an international video personal trainer and life coach, I help individuals see the bigger picture, inspiring them to reach new heights in their endeavors. Whether you're soaking in the sights of a city or charting your own course, it's always worth looking beyond the horizon. 🌍💪🏼🌆.

Place has historic and religious importance in Krakow. It offers nice panoramic view of the city. Carry your own food and drinks as the basic facilities are missing.

The road to the Kościuszko Mound leads through the forest, so you can walk, it's nice and cool because the trees cover the sun.  If you go by car it's shorter of course but we had a great 20 min time walking ! So when you get there, on a clear, sunny day, the views from the mound are stunning! You can see panoramic views on Krakow and mountains. You will also visit the museum and learn about the history of Kościuszko Mound in a nutshell, affordable ticket prices. Inside the museum a very nice cool temperature considering that it was very hot outside.  After sightseeing, time to rest, there is a restaurant/café where you can have lunch, iced coffee, something sweet, beer or whatever you prefer, good selection.

Great view of Krakow city and surrounding areas. The walk up the mound hill has some steepness, caution for mobility impaired.

Great place, though it's a little far from historical center. On the top of a hill you can see the entire Kraków (though it can get quite windy up there). The museum's exhibition was also interesting. The ticket includes an entrace to the top of the hill and a museum about life of Tadeusz Kościuszko.

Kościuszko Mound - one of the five Kraków mounds, dedicated to Tadeusz Kościuszko. Built in 1820-23. From his death in 1817, the cult of the national hero Tadeusz Kościuszko grew. He was especially esteemed in Krakow, the city with which he was connected and where his body was buried.

Nice place with a nice view from the city. Depending on the day, the wind can definitely hit up but nothing that screw up the trip. Due to covid restrictions, the museum and bars were closed so I cannot judge but overall it's a nice one to two hours trip. I missed some signs and texts in English for foreigners like me but overall you don't really need them as the place has a pretty much straightforward path.

  • 5/5 Jack P. 2 years ago on Google
Come for the great views of Krakow. Additionally, there are two museum exhibits for the price of one ticket. There is a dedicated car-free walking path from city center, so I recommend the walk.

This museum and view poits is OK. Museum tell the life history of Kosciuszko and his accomplishments. The mound is impressive but at time feels little dangerous. There is no railing on the mound, so please be careful walking up and down. Beautiful view of the city Krakow and surroundings. You van see Polish mountain range from the top of weather permits.

  • 5/5 Ellie C. 1 year ago on Google
On a clear day, the views from the mound are amazing. A bit out of the city, but it was worth the trip. I learned a lot, and the museum is very interactive which is fantastic. The mound itself is very well looked after. The cafe was good too with great service.

As for museum, there are a lot of textual information, so recommend to those who like reading. The mound itself... well, nothing special. Nice view around but that's it. Quite expensive as for me. Good thing is that there is free parking near the entrance and some space to park down the road.

  • 4/5 Sebastien H. (. 1 year ago on Google

Great location for a view over Karkow, with cafes and restaurants readily available around it. We did have to wait about 20 minutes, but I assume this was due to it being a bank holiday! Exhibitions are also available in the fortress. If you are visiting Krakow I would recommend coming here!
