This is an artificially built mount created in ancient times. It takes about an hour to get there walking from downtown, about 15 minutes by taxi (about $8) and about 20 minutes by tram (4 PNL). You can reach the top fairly easily and in less than 15 minutes. Very nice views of the city but quiet windy. Not something that I would particularly recommend as it takes an effort to get there and come back and then there isn't anything else to do in the area so it's probably something to leave last once you've visited the main attractions in the city

I visited on Polish Independence Day so a lot of people with flags to pay respect were here. Was a nice warm sight.

One of the highest hills in Krakow with an astonishing view of the city! A must visit place for the tourist, but at the same time, you can come here for a picnic with friends or family and spend a couple of hours above the city :)

I can only recommend this place if you are looking for an accessible place with really nice views of the city. If you are a tourist short on time and staying in the center for a weekend. I would not suggest going there because it's quite far and may not be the best thing to do in Krakow. But if you have some time, definitely go there, you won't be disappointed. Busses and trams are literally 10 mins walk away if you don't like to walk.

View from the lower portion of krakus mound. Steep climb, but use the proper path and it will wind around and be better. There are benches on which to sit (this is the lower part of the area - before you get to the mound). Seems to be a party/hang out place for the locals so a lot of broken glass. Some one was cleaning it out though. So sad people don’t care for places anymore. You can also walk down the hill toward the cemetery and take that path to the Liban Quarry and see where part of Schindler’s List was filmed. We spent about 1 hour total with the mound and quarry.

The view is breathtaking. Life feels unreal while you’re there AND it’s completely free. [That’s the best mound out of all 4 of them in my opinion]. That’s a must see!

Climb up this hill to see a panorama view of the city. It's a good view, but the location is slightly out of the way with not much else around there. But worth a visit if you have already been to most of the other attractions in the old town and the Jewish quarter. It's nice to get some exercise to burn off all the pierogi and vodka!

Kopiec Kraka is this place that doesn't require wide opinion, it guards it's opinion itself. You just need to be there and feel the place 💜

Lovely hill for a nice walk in nature while visiting on Krakow. You can see the city from the top. Only recommended when the weather is nice.

Great view point all over the Krakow. You will easily find all the Kraków’s main buildings. You can easily rest near this place and spend 1-2 hours. I advise to visit before the sunset

Beautiful man-made hill, stop a natural park, overlooking the south side of Krakow. You can see the whole city skyline and in good weather it's lovely to go there, have a picnic, rest and enjoy nature and the views. It's a lovely place and you can walk there from the city center, it's not too far. Well worth a visit.

The best spot for Krakow's panorama. Mould got a bit of battering over recent flash flooding and people taking shortcuts. Overall very good.

Nice trip We rented bikes and rode them to the foot of the hill. We walked the last couple of 100 meters and got a fantastic view of the city.

A very pleasent area of the city. Worth visiting during Rękawka when Krakus mound hosts a mediaeval village.

I take there every guest and they like it a lot. It's the best to show them other mounds as well. It's a nice small challenges for cyclists😉

Nice place and very scenic view of city in evening time.

As a tourist, I would say could be disappointing, just normal view of city and nothing much to do. 15 minutes more than enough to explore it fully. If resident then decent point to relax under blue sky

A wonderful place for a picnic, or just for a bit of exercise. Beautiful view of Krakow from the other side of the Vistula River. Great for the family, time out with friends, a date, or by yourself. Easy parking, especially for bikes. (◍•ᴗ•◍)

Such a beautiful place with an even better view from the top. I went during the winter after a few days of snow and I can't regret. Even though it can be a bit slippery and dangerous depending on what shoes you are using, totally worth going up on the top. To climb the mound itself there are some poorly made stairs which are used to both going up and down. I recommend coming here with a blue sky and not foggy otherwise there wouldn't be much to see. It's a totally free trip and there are bus and tram stops around which make things easier to everyone.

Nice place to have a picnic. The view of the city is not that great, though. It's near the remnants of a concentration camp you can visit as well.

  • 5/5 Amin Y. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful view from the top. Nearby there is a huge quarry with many paths so you can go for a walk and admire the nature in the middle of the city.
