I really enjoyed my visit to this museum and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Krakow. Lots of local history on view and very well laid out and clearly described. The staff were extremely friendly and the museum has a nice flow so you won’t miss seeing anything. We were also lucky that it was all free entrance fee on the Tuesday that we visited.

Probably one of the best museums in Krakow and whole Poland. The collection, the place, the atmosphere and music in halls are beautiful. Exposition is organized and structured really well. The pictures here are great master peaces. It is also very interesting to study here the history of Poland throughout the history and things of one great family. This museum is my top recommendation for Krakow visitors and tourists.

Your ticket allows for entry into other local museums for 3 months from date of purchase! This museum alone is a great 2 hours or so spent. I suggest paying a tiny bit extra for the audio guide (available in multiple languages and very easy to use). There are a few sensory activity stations and audio tour is also available in kids version! 8 and 12 year old had good time here. (It is fully airconditioned) There is a Cafe that can be accesses without ticket purchase.

This humble museum is the home of the famous Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting Ladies with the Ermine as well as the famous Rembrandt painting. The museum also houses lots of other art works and artifacts although some of the presentations are a bit hard to see (small, dark and placed almost near the floor). The positive thing is that they provide portable chairs to you free of charge so you can sit down and admire the art work even if there is no chair available. Price is steep and no family discount if you are a foreigner. Lockers are free but audio guide is extra.

Highly recommended to go on a Tuesday when it’s free entrance. You have to put your bag and coat in a free locker. The museum has several areas ancient history, armoury section, art from many different eras including a da Vinci painting, Lady with an Ermine. Takes about 1 to 2 hours to go around the whole museum depending how quick and detailed your visit will be. It was a bit confusing to find the entrance as it’s not clearly signed. The entrance is just before the bridge which connects the buildings.

This museum is a world class art destination. It boasts a very rich collection. Following years of renovation, the building is absolutely gorgeous. I visited twice during my recent trip to Krakow. (Tuesdays are free!)

A superb museum featuring a diverse collection of artwork, including armor, weapons, attire, ancient sculptures from Greece and Egypt, as well as renowned pieces by Rembrandt and Da Vinci. I paid approximately 60 zloty for entry, and visitors can take their time exploring the exhibits without any time constraints.

This is a unique museum, and not only in Krakow or in Poland. The Czartoryski family was one of the most prominent in Polish and European history and were well connected to royalty, intellectuals, and artists of their era. The collection reflects this complex and rich history. Of course, Leonardo Da Vinci's " Lady with the ermine" is the centerpiece and is located in its own room. However, many other exhibits are just as significant and magical. This museum is certainly a must

The museum has some nice works of art, but the lady and the hermit is definitely the reason why you must visit

Absolutely amazing muzeum trip, took me 2 hours to visit all the exhibits. Upper floors have paintings, including the famous da Vinci piece. Bottom floors have collections of king Sigmund and other rulers of the time. Lots of royal jewelry, armour and clothing. Amazing cafe outdoors, sitting under the glass roof and having coffee was the best decision, so calm and energising. Highly recommended place to visit if ever in Krakow.

Really lovely museum full of masterpieces. I didn’t have to wait to enter and it was Saturday morning but maybe it is recommended. There’s a free locker to leave the jacket and bags. The reason why I’m not giving 5stars is just because the lightning in the museum is really horrible. The lights reflect on the paintings and one cannot see anything and in other rooms is so dark. In my humble opinion very bad for a museum.

A beautiful small museum located in the heart of downtown. There can be long lines in the early hours so purchasing a ticket in advance is highly recommended. The collection includes paintings from the 1300s up to about 1800s, weapons, uniforms, rugs, etc. The famous piece is the Lady with the Ermine which is just beautiful and is placed in a single room given its importance. The museum is small but still you need at least an hour. Free on Tuesday

A nice museum of human size. The tour is well organised and collection is interesting. And the famous painting of Leonardo da Vinci - magnificent! The lockers without keys are also good! The price is a bit of elevated as for other museums in Krakow, but still very moderate comparing to other European cities.

The museum itself is located in a beautiful building and impresses by its size and inrerior, although, this is one of the oldest Polish museums. The museum is located in the centre of the city which makes it very convenient to visit while you discover other places. I had not enough time to explore the museum; it takes around 3 hours to look at all the exhibitions. The collection of the museum is impressive. The highlight for me was Leonardo Da Vinci's painting "Lady with an Ermine"! It is an amazing feeling - to be that close to the masterpiece. If you plan to visit Krakow, I really recommend you to find some time and visit this museum.

Princess Izabela Czartoryska founded the museum in Puławy to preserve Polish heritage. Don’t miss Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece and the Rembrandts. The museum is free on Tuesdays!

We came to the museum for the one of the most famous paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci: “ Lady with an Ermine” but we’ve stayed for 4 hours. There’s so much beautiful things to admire. I passed through every steps of the audio guide. This royal collection is priceless. I’m glad that it was donated to Polish State in 2016 and Polish State has the right to any future claims of art works that had been plundered from the collections. Hopefully the art works stolen by the Nazis may be back to the museum one day. Info. practice: come to museum early 15 minutes on paying days (PLN 60 ~ $12.5 ) and 30 minutes in Tuesday ( free entry day) to avoid the crown. Take the audio guide ( PLN 10 ~ $2.25) The museum is closed on Monday.

Very interesting museum, shows a lot of historical things owned by polish royal families, also there are few expositions of foreign art. The museum system is very modern with QR-code locks, audio guide (as optional), very clear hall system, polite and helpful staff. But there are few flaws- somewhere very interesting exhibits were without any description or explanation (maybe it exists, but I couldn’t find), also some descriptions are very dry, like no material thing was made for, or the meaning of the thing. And the light was very poor, I had to get too much close to glass, next to other people, or to cover the view for others. But still, I recommend to visit the museum , the price for a ticket is about 9€.

Fantastic museum! Not only because it houses the famous “Lady with an Ermine” but also Rembrandt and many other fine paintings collected by Princes Czartoryski. Under your visit you get acquainted with highlights of Polish history guided by interesting and easy-to-use audioguide, which costs only 10 PLN. I recommend to buy your ticket online and you have to enter the museum in the allocated time slot.

This is a really wonderful collection of classical art, as well as many other beautiful objects. I love the way the collection is displayed using darkened rooms with yellow spotlights to illuminate the pieces, the same as the Treasury at the Castle. It stops you getting alot of back refection off the glass glass cabinets. Of course the star attractions are the Leonardo da Vinci (Lady with an Ermine) and the Rembrant (Landscape with the Good Samaritan). It's my favourite museum in Krakow, the entrance having a lovely Atrium where there is also a Caffè.

Wish I had had more time, but glad we went. Quite the collection (art, Armory, artifacts) including Da Vinci's Lady With An Ermine (stunning btw). I really appreciated the opportunity for my youngest (7) to touch and feel something in almost every exhibit. Every museum could learn from this!

Love it because it’s Me and “Laonardo“ first meeting place:) Yes, “lady with ermine” is amazing - for only for this masterpiece you get there, but this museum is also very interesting and must visit place is Krakow. There are many interesting exhibit of medieval art - reliquary, icons, painting and etc. visit to museum shop - its very cheap store with very friendly staff. Very enjoy to visit this museum

I bought my ticket online on the day. Over a few generations a family collected artifacts from Polish history. In this exhibition they are open to you with the family slogan "The past for the future". I just wish more was written on the tablets and explained in the electronic guide to make these objects into a story. Great to see many student painters copying masterpieces under their mentor's supervision. Not so great when people don't know how to behave around two famous works and stay too close for a long period of time not thinking about others. But then you do need to see the details to appreciate the work.

A small museum with plenty to see. I was so surprised they even have an art work by Da Vinci. The museum does not give you a typical museum's overwhelming feeling due to its small size. Friendly staff and well presented arts works. Highly recommended

Very beautifulmuseum associated with Polish nobelty of 16-17 centuries. Great way to explore their lifestyle and dressing. It also includes several excibitions from other areas of the world and even one painting of Leonardo de Vinci.

Absolutely fabulous museum, captures the essence of Krakow's long history. The star attraction is Leonardo da Vinci’s Lady with an Ermine, and there’s also a Rubens. Be on the lookout for a captivating painting with four water nymphs. Brilliant.

This was probably the best museum in Kraków. There are plenty pieces of artwork from a variety of different periods. And, of course, housed here is DaVinci's "Lady with an Ermine," which was quite impressive. The Greek art section was also a personal favorite to observe.

Might have been one of the best museums I have ever visited. We didn’t know how big it was. And then the rooms just kept on coming. Reaching out over the other side of the street.

It's a beautiful museum with exhibits of Polish history and a good exposition of European paintings, and many other things. Leonardo da Vinci's very famous PICTURE of a lady with an ermine, Laski, is also here.

Beautiful museum, with a nice collection focused on Krakow history and in general art history. It has a beautiful collection, including a famous Leonardo Da Vinci. Must stop in Krakow, especially for art fans: it is MUCH less crowded with tourists and influencers than the big hubs like Paris.

Really interesting museum. I especially enjoyed seeing the clothing and other items from so many hundreds of years ago still preserved. The Rembrandt painting is also out of this world. I added a few random pictures of things that I found amusing.

Great museum, after renovation which allowed to Leonardo Da Vinci's painting The lady with an ermine to come back to its home. The museum is full of historical and unique exponats from the rich collection of Princes Chartoryjsky. The direction of tour is very well organized, and keep in mind that almost everything is brand new ( floor, staircase, facilities etc). In the passage there is Leonardo café where you can rest after a tour. Audio guides are also available, but you can't book them online, despite of the tickets. Everything is accessible for wheel chairs.

Not big with a nice atmosphere. Rembrandt and of course Leonardo Da Vinci. Two floors of history, mostly 15th century and portraits, some clothes and interior items

  • 5/5 PAVEL . 1 year ago on Google
The Leonardo’s painting is well known. There is however Remrant’s Good Samaritan next to it. It is just amazing how the light is painted there. Both paintings are at the very end of the tour. A bit overpriced coffee place in the hall, but good service.

The building looks very nice, exposition is not too bad, but with smaller price you can see much better ones and more in the Main Building of National Museum in Kraków. I was not amazed

An excellent gallery/museum with lots of artwork, suits of armour, weapons, clothes, ancient Greek and Egyptian sculptures and casks on display, as well as the Rembrandt and Da Vinci. I paid around 120 zloty (pre booked on get your guide app), and you can spend as long as you want to view the exhibits.

My god; best museum I've ever been to- and not just because of Da Vinci's Lady with an Ermine... Excellent lay out and lighting, not too hot, accessible to people with disabilities; ramps and lifts, quiet rooms and sensory interactions allowing everyone to enjoy the exhibitions and history this place has to offer. And so full of history too, absolutely amazing. A MUST SEE kind of place.

Awesome museam with historical heritage from Poland and over the Europe. It takes around 2 hours to visit 20 rooms and an audio guide helps a lot in building context. Tuesday is a day for free attendance.

Museum was the house of Czartoryski family and the exhibits are part of a private collection. Mein Gott!! Beautiful… The staff is helpful and nice. The bridge on the second floor is also impressive.

Very big with a huge amount of stuff, its cool to walk around. There are also regular seating throughout which is very helpful for anyone with disabilities or mobility issues, or even just tiredness. Overall a good experience and definitely a good place to go to dry up from the rain outside. I enjoyed the experience.

  • 5/5 Chad M. 8 months ago on Google
Definitely a worthwhile experience. We went on a Tuesday morning which is the free entry time. A little bit busy but if you get an audio guide, which I highly recommend for 10zl, you can easily lose yourself for a few hours.

Beautiful museum with the highlight being the Lady with the Ermine. Da Vinci's works are always a sight to behold, and without the crowds of the Louvre. Some of the curation was a bit confusing, such as a room that just had lots of random objects but with little theme or description on why they were grouped together. Nevertheless the museum has some gorgeous objects and paintings. Well worth a visit.

  • 4/5 Radoslav I. 11 months ago on Google
Very small museum. You only need 1-2 hours. There are some nice paintings in there, the Leonardo Da Vinci one takes a center piece

  • 5/5 Maria T. 9 months ago on Google
The museum is quite big and in a good location near the main square. It has a good collection of items owned by the Royal families, from armory to paintings. You can find the famous paintings "Lady with an Ermine" by Leonardo Da Vinci and "Landscape with the Good Samaritan" by Rembrandt. There are also Egyptian and Roman-Greek artifacts.
